A muscular looking male waited outside the Auvryani household holing a small box. He looked rather menacing, covered in soot and having several burns. Inside the box were some very VERY dangerous looking arrow heads. They were headed for a warrior training school in another city where the second daughter of their house was in training. Her brother took great care to make sure she had the best arrow heads for her arrows despite the Matron's hatred for her daughter. The first born was a priestess-in-training and recieved all her attention. But he refused to let his sister fall short of her devotion to the goddess. He knew Shrilyn was devoted to being the best archer she could and work to further the goddess's cause. He believed she could which was why me made these deadly blades. Of all the mercenaries that came out of their house, he believed Shrilyn would be the deadliest.

Divintra approched the muscular male at a slow walk. The white skinned drow felt a little unsettled and his violet eyes were open a touch wider then normal. He had a hand within his pocket, his fingers clutching at a black glass ball while he tried to rub his nervouseness away with his thumb over it's smooth surface. Since he hac completed the delivery of a letter to another city, Divintra had found call for his delivery services to have doubled. Most of the jobs were for inside the city itself. Yet he found more and more often he was getting requests to deliver items to other cities. The term 'delivery boy' was gradually being replaced by the title 'Coutier'. Divintra had to admitt he liked this change,a s it felt as if his station in life had just been raised a little bit. He certainly wasn't scrambling for coins to feed himself anymore. His black leather outfit was well kept and he felt rather presentable.

The reason he approched the male at a slow walk, was so he could look him over, and reach for that sense of...of whatever it was settle over him. Was this male dangerouse? Oh yes. He definatly got that feeling. But so was every other drow Divintra had ever met. Was he intending harm to him? No...no Divintra detected no sort of malice or ill thoughts reguarding him. Was the delivery ill fated? This part always was muddled, and Divintra believed it was due to the fact the delivery could be affected a hundred different ways by himself. So he prefferred to consider the sense he got carefully. No..the delivery should go well. At least he didn't feel like it was a trap.

Divintra withdrew his hand from his pocket as he approched, and looked up at the male. Divintra was still just a young thing, a mid teen in comparison of age, so he felt awkward trying to do busniess with adults. "Sir? Are you waiting for the Courtier?"

The male looked to the white drow with a raised eyebrow. So it was true, this male was an albino. He wondered what he or his family had done to be punished with such pale skin. He was merely a poor drow, even lower than his own house. However his delivery servies seemed to be putting a bit of coin into his pocket. Ah well, his services were known to be good so he knew his sister would get the package. He held up the black wrapped package.

"Yes, this contains some very important items to be delievers to Shrilyn Auvryani who resides in the warrior training house of Llurth'Dreir. It is to enter her hands and her hands ONLY. I will pay one half, Shrilyn shall pay you the rest upon positive delivery. Do I make myself clear?" He held out a coin purse as well as the rather light box.

Divintra released a slow breath as he listened to the male. His eyes darted from the box and to the coin purse, though they lingered a little bit longer on the coin purse then the box itself. "Yes Sir. I understand. Shrilyn Auvryani at the warrior training house of Llurth'Dreir. I have arranged transport with a merchant caravan travling to this city. It will be leaving in four hours time and will take three weeks to arrive at the city. I will immediatly deliver the box upon entering the city. Do you wish for me to return with a letter of recieving Sir?" Divintra's hands closed over the box as it was offered, and he carefully tucked it under one arm before he presumed to collect the coin purse.

The male nodded at the man's explination of his travel arrangements. That was good enough, after all his sister was training quite far away. Traveling with a merchant band was a common thing for people. Safety in numbers they say. He thought of his dear sister and the hardships she had put up with to travel the great distance to the school. She had left to get away from her family so she could concentrate on training, however he suspected she would be returning home in time. What she would do then he could only guess.

"No, believe me I'll know if this isn't delievered." He grinned rather maliciously. If it wasn't delievered then Shrilyn would hunt this guy down, not something anyone would want. He waited for the drow to count his purse, a common trait amoung delivery boys. Many had been short changed before but he refused to do so with such an important package. It didn't look important, it wasn't even wrapped. It was merely a box with a simple latch on it. He knew Shrilyn did not appriciate frills on anything, it was rather useless to a warrior. Mostly mages liked the pretty stuff. "Good travels sir. And may you collect your other purse."

Divintra carefully counted the coins in the pouch. There seemed to be getting more and more of them with each few days that passed. It amazed him sometimes how much a drow was willing to pay to ensure something arrived at it's destination. Well, it just went to show that he had made a wise choice in rejecting the lifestyle his mother had wanted him to follow. Once he hassured himself the coins were all present, Divintra tucked the small purse into the front of his shirt and nodded his head at the male.

The threat did not seem to phase Divintra too much. It was almost expected in all honesty. Divintra had never accepted a single job from a customer that did not come with a warning attached. "Yes Sir." He replied dutifully and pivioted smartly about to make his way to the caravan.

The caravan ride would be as terrifying as it normally was. Divintra made himself small in the midst of a package packed wagon and waited quite patciently for the days to roll by. His package was never out of range of touch, even when he was tending to his bodily functions. Divintra simply trusted no one when he was in midst of a delivery.

He would be relieved when he eventually arrived at the city of destination. With a eagerness to be quit of the package, Divintra made for the warrior training house in search of the recipiant.

The school was quite large and was easy to get lost in. There were only a few of the areas viewable from the front. There was a main training area where young drow were being yelled at by elders, obviously new recruits. There was a training yard were several dagger fighters were practicing their fast quick attacks. There was also a main meeting room for guests or matrons to observe the school. Near this main area were guards of a sort, mostly there to make sure no one snuck in and wasted time. They glared a bit at the small white drow, wondering what he wanted. One finally spoke up, his voice deep and commanding. "What do you want pale one?"

A few passing drow just kinda stared at him as they walked by, whispering to each other. They were obviously sword fighters considering the large weapons on their backs. Females passed, laughing at the strange looking male. Not long after his arrival there was quite a bit of activity. As if his very presense was a call for all to come look at him.

Divintra pressed the box tightly to his chest and wrapped both of his arms firmly about it as he lingered undecided as to where he ought to head first. Until now all of his deliveries had been made to shops or particular homes. He had not yet had to deliver to a school of all places. As he slowly walked the outer edge of the school grounds, Divintra was uncertain at first if he was relieved when the guard called out to him for a explanation.

Tilting his head, Divintra focused his purple eyes upon the guard as he reached for the sense to come as he considered the guard. Was he a threat to him? A danger? Gah...the answer was always the same really. Everyone was a danger. Divintra supposed he had to be a bit more specific in the focusing of his thoughts.

"I am a coutier, I have a delivery for someone who is here." He answered as he worked to focus his sense on the guard better. Sometimes it came so easy...other times it did not. It seemed like now would be one of those times. Perhaps it was due to his nervouseness at having so many drow looking at him. Back home his presence was familar in that one section of Menzoberazzan, so it was he did not recieve nearly as many looks as he was now.

Of course...the laughter and gazes of so many females was another reason for a nervouse sweat to bead his brow. Females honestly were creatures he felt safer avoiding, no matter what city he was in. The more activity his presence generated the more Divintra wished to make his delivery and slip away. His posture shrank a little bit as he tightened his grip on the box and ducked his head over it a little.

"I am seeking a female named Shrilyn Auvryani. Could someone direct me to where I may find her?"

The guard raised an eyebrow as the pale drow announced his profession and the current task which had brought him there. The someone near by laughed. It was a lithe young female twirling a dagger. "You actually want to find Shrilyn? Ha! Must be another delivery from her house. New sharp arrowheads. Nasty things they make. I know where she is. Follow me." She grinned a bit as she began to walk off. A sway in her hips made her seem quite flirty but then again dagger wielders were almost like thieves. Deceptice and decieving, just like they were trained. But all she did was tease with her body as she walked. They passed several other training areas; large ax swinging females and sword fighting males. Finally the 'twang' and 'thwap' of arrows being launched and landed were heard.

"There is the female you seek, pale one." She pointed a slender finger at the fast moving female on the obsticle course. The female was fast as she ran back and forth between targets. Her arrows flew straight and landed right where she wanted. She was lean and muscular, her muscles working under the dark skin as she pulled the bow back and let another arrow fly. Her instructors were watching her intensely. Archers were required to be able to fight both at a distance and up close.

Too many people...there were too many people for him to properly focus his sense and get a reliable reading from them. All the effort he was going through was only giving him a headache. He wished he dared loosen his grasp on the box so he could slip his hand into his pocket to rub at the glass ball within.

When the female laughed out and replied to his question, Divintra's first impulse was to distrust her. By the manner of her response and the flippant manner she played with her dagger, Divintra's first impulse was to decline her offer as a guide out of concern she'd try to take his delivery away from him. However, as no other seemed inclined to step forwards and offer him assisstance he was left with only the option of following her.

Following her through the school, Divintra got quite the eyeful. He supposed his mother might have scoffed at those that were working themselves so hard for their poression, but he had to admire the determination to become better that many of the students seemed to exhibit. Besides...if he was looking about the school he as not looking too closely at the swaying female leading him. Divintra may not yet be a man, but he was old enough to notice things about females and be distracted by them if he let himself be.

"Thank you Lady." He finally spoke to her, grateful when it was she pointed out Shri to him and thus ended his need to follow her anymore. He was certain he could find his way out on his own. Divintra took a step forwards, then paused. Shri was obviously in the middle of a lesson or test... so he'd have to stand and wait, preferrably at a respectful distance so he would not prove to be a distraction to the ones that were so intently watching her. How much longer did she have before he could give her the box? If she was in the middle of lessons it was unlikely she had his payment on her. Ugh...so then he would have to wait for her to have free time to collect the remainder of the coins he was owed...

With a small shake of his head, Divintra lightly crept towards the area where the instructors were gathered. He'd just stand and wait, and once it seemed she was finished with her lesson he'd be quick to dart close enough to address her.

The test didn't last much longer. Divintra was lucky, this was her last test of the day. She was being allowed a half free day if she could prove herself on this obsticle course. With a final arrow fired she came to a stop near her instructors. Her breath came some what heavy but over all she was not too winded. The instructors nodded to her and complimented her style. She nodded to them then blinked as she looked past them. The female who had lead the pale drow to the course made a motion toward him. Shrilyn looked over, nodded back to the other female, then began walking toward Divintra.

She was a very imposing female. Her amber eyes were cold but held no malice toward the male. In fact she really wasn't looking at him, she was looking at the box in his hands. She slung her bow across her body so it stayed in place and crossed her arms. She didn't tower over him but she was easily stronger. She smiled softly as she came closer, knowing exactly what was in that box. "That must be from my house. Come with me, I shall retrieve your payment. However I will check my package to make sure it is all in tact before you recieve any coin from me." She began to walk toward the dorms where the female archers slept. All the warriors slept with their fellows in arms. It was meant to promote a team atmosphere.

Well that was...fortunate. Divintra appreciated the fact her lesson seemed to be over already. Though he did not smile as the female turned towards him after his guide had gestured towards him. Honestly he had expected the other female would have left once she had gotten him this far. Perhaps they did not want him wandering about the school in the case he had thieving tendancies? Which he did not, despite his mothers best efforts.

Divintra waited for Shri to finish approching him. Even if he had choosen to stand as tall as he could, he felt the female would still stand a good height over him. Thus was the lot of males though, Divintra could not think of any male that he'd ever seen that stood taller then a female.

"Yes Lady." He properly addressed her, and a little eagerly as the sooner he finished his delivery the sooner he would get paid..and well...he could probably enjoy a little sight seeing before finding another caravan to travel with home.

As he had expected, Shri did not have the coins on her to pay him, so the small white drow was quick to take up on her heel's after her instruction to follow her. "Of course Lady. I understand." She wanted to make certain nothing was damaged or missing he was sure. Ah! He couldn't wait to get paid!...er...

The sight of the dorms as they came closer made Divintra pause in his spet. particularly when it was they reached the doors. "Am I allowed inside Lady?" He wasn't certain but...weren't there rules about men going into places like this?

Shrilyn actually laughed at his statement. He was definately young, or at least not old enough to completely act upon his impusles. Most men would love a chance for a proper reason to enter the female's dorms. "No, but you aren't the first male in here nor shall you be the last." She smirked at him. Oh yes many males had passed into these halls, all lovers or just one nighters with the female warriors. Warriors were well known for their lustful attitudes, especially after a long battle. It was on way to help come down off the adrinaline high.

She opened the door and began to walk down the hall. Shes topped at one door and opened it. She had her own room, mostly because no one could stand to room with her. Arrows lined the walls like tropheys, each with a different head. She kept them up to study at night when all was quite in the dorms. She liked to keep a running inventory of her arrowheads and their uses. She walked to a bookshelf and took a book out. Opening it revealed it was a hiding spot for coin. She had the other half of his payment all ready for him. "Now, if I can see my package." She held out her hand.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 15, 2008 5:26 pm

"Ah...I suppose I had not thought of that..." Divintra stumbled over his reply as he followed Shri into the dorm house. Though they were only entering the hall way, he felt a flush and prickle along his spine and in his cheeks. This was one of those places he ought to be eagerly looking about in, on the odd chance he might see something he normally wouldn't.

However.... Divintra had been taught quite throughly by his mother about certain aspects he needed to keep in mind as he was growing up. Just because she was no longer a part of his life did not mean he should act as if her values were no longer part of his life too. So Divintra kept his purple eyes turned downwards, just to ensure he saw nothing more then the flash of Shri's heels as he followed her closely to the room that seemed to be her's.

It was only once he was inside the room that he lifted his head. his gaze swept the walls, picking out the strange decor she had up. She must really love arrows, this was all he could think at first. They all looked roughly the same to him, he could not begin to imagin what was so fascinating about the sharp and small objects.

When Shri asked for the box, Divintra turned his gaze back upon her, and handed it over without hesitation. He wanted his payment of course, but knew he must wait for her to inspect the box before he could get paid.

"There should be nothing amiss Lady. The box has not left my side since I recieved it and I've taken great care to ensure it was not shaken or bumped too much during the coarse of the travle. There were only three fights along the way, which is very good for a caravan run. All should be properly in order."

"I certainly hope not. The package is extremely valuable and deadly." She smirked as she took the box and opened it. It was several layers deep of felt with pressed shaped to hold each individual arrowhead. Some looked sleak and normal. Others were jagged and rather malicious looking. Anyone hit with those would be in a great deal of pain and there would be no removing it unless they wanted to cause even more damage. She nodded in satisfaction and took out a piece of paper. She wrote a letter to her brother, telling him of his excellent work and thanked him for sending them. She sealed the letter with her family's stamp and handed it to the pale drow. She added a few coins to the purse she had taken out and handed it to him as well. "Deliever this back to my house. You may just drop it off at the door, I do not require you to deliver it directly to him."
