I just realized, actually my Dad just realized, that there was supposed to be 7 books for 7 years of Hogwarts. But, Harry's not going back to Hogwarts! Doesn't that leave it open for another book?
I know JK has a seven-book contract, but wouldn't the company be glad to extend that? They'd make more money, wouldn't they?
I also know that alot of people will say, "No, she won't do that." But I think it's a possibility.

i hope there will be more than 7 books because i will be very sad in 2 or 3 years when i read the 7th book and then im finished with it in less than 12 hours and then ill start to cry because its over everything is unlocked no more secret corridors no more murder plots no more magical hogwarts wizardring world sob:

I know, I've thought about that before. I figured if they end with 7 books (I hope not) then maybe they can have a couple side books (which they should anyway). Ya know like maybe one about Dumbledore, one about Voldemort, somethin like that. Ones that expand more on the side stories.

Actually, I think Harry will be going back to Hogwarts just not as a student.
And JKR has made it CLEAR there will be only seven books, she wants to make adult books after Harry Potter and spend time with her kid.
But it's nice to dream eh?

Yeah, JK pretty much has confirmed there won't be another Potter book beyond year seven. I'm curious how she's going to fit all the secrets into one book though. She really should write 'Hogwarts, a History' which I think she mentioned doing. At least after the seventh book, we can interview her until she drops. <3

Yeah, I've been wondering how she's to fit all the secrets and riddle answers into one book. It's going to be a huge book we know. I've been hopeful about it, but the hopes are pretty low. I don't think there will be another book, but it's still good to dream.

I doubt she'll make more than seven Harry Potter books. I wish she would though.. but it is a possibility. She may continue writing, though, like start up a new series or write more books like Quidditch Through The Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
