Because every forum needs one, here's a spam topic. Use it for getting gold, chatting or... whatever else spam topics are used for. Just keep it within the ToS.

I'm in my political science class right now and I am BORED. D:

We're talking about the theory that the US being composed of "Red States and Blue States" is a load of crap.

So... BORED.

PS: Dawn of the New World is amazing.

Is the new Tales game going to distract and keep you from being a good Captain... Oh Captain, My Captain? ninja

Seriously, I need to get that game soon myself...

But for a Tales fan, you sure didn't think much of Phantasia, did you? xd

[...but thinking makes it so.]

... D<

Enough with the captain-ness. I'll still be working, just... might be light on it, as I've got papers to do.

And yes, I am a Tales fan, but I was very underwhelmed by Tales of Phantasia. Unresponsive controls and forced semi-auto are not fun. D:

Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess. [/puns]

Anyways, you do get used to the playstyle of the game eventually... but it's definitely not as fluid as the other Tales games. sweatdrop

So does Dawn of the New World focus a lot on the monster stuff? Because I reeeeaaally don't feel like 'catchin' 'em all', if you get my drift.

Oh, very punny. XP

While catching monsters is a decent part of the plot, monsters are just there to fill party slots. Find a pair of monsters you like and you're good to go.

You know... I kinda liked playing as CHARACTERS... maybe I'm just old-fashioned, though. xp Ah well, don't knock 'till you've tried it, right?

So far your favorite's Vesperia, though? I don't mind, I like both the Tales' games I've played... but I like looking at characters the most, though. That's why I liked Fire Emblem a lot. Lots of characters. ninja And I like watching character growth as well...

You do get to play as the old cast, just... towards the end. X_x

See, I'm kinda split on that. Vesperia has a much more polished combat system, while Symphonia has better characters. Vesperia does have a really good cast, but just not quite as endearing as Symphonia.

Why do you think Symphonia was the most successful of all the games, hm? Is it because it finally found a good audience with the Nintendo fanboys like me? xd

(well, it's the most successful one to my knowledge, at least...)

I hope that we will have our own epic adventures ourselves in the days to come, though... 3nodding

I think Symphonia did so well not just because of all its good merits, but because of the system it was on. I feel pretty confident in saying that Tales of Symphonia is the best JRPG on the Gamecube that didn't used to be on the Dreamcast. >>

Don't worry, we'll have some tales of ourselves to tell. XD

Grah, I'm in my history class right now and we're talking about BEER.

I don't drink! This is pointless for me!
