So I've been working on some general art discussion sub-forums for everyone, and a thought just occured to me; what styles don't you guys like?
Personally, I can't stand Flemish food art (the dark paintings with fish or meat and fruit and cheeses in bowls)-- I think it's creepy.
I'm ever so sorry, I know that it's "classic art", but that just doesn't make me hungry.... In fact, just the opposite really. Go fig....
The other style I don't care for really isn't a style. Columns. I spent two semesters in art history class in college learning about Ionic, Doric, and Corinthian columns in particular; their fluting and relief. And about Egyptian columns and their capitals and their bas relief.
Which is why I cring during Mel Brook's History of the World Pt. 1 where the guy yells out "Columns get your columns".

We are now armed with mighty joint! Ah I love that movie. Hm.. I hate southwestern art.. like the zigzags and kokapeli's and s**t. It's tacky as hell. And living in the southwest means it's everywhere. Native american art is cool, but the southwestern crap..no bueno. I know people that deck their houses out completely with this crap.. let's face it.. a dude with dreads playing a flute with a ton of cactus and a turquoise coyote with a bandanna is just retarded. Howdy Howdy! go blow a goat..

Oh, I forgot to mention.. I HATE thanksgiving and xmas artwork.. lets face it.. a still life of a freaking cornucopia is not all that interesting. And as for Xmas.. ugh.. The music sucks, and it's all false advertising.. Where's the painting of Santa and the elves smoking 18 packs a day, ripping their hair out, hiding from debt collectors, and overdosing on coke due to the holiday stress?? (Should anyone want to do a painting, or drawing or whatever about that...I would be very pleased!)

For both holidays I don't really care, turkey is good any time of the year. I hate having ham instead...it's just not as good.
