Duncan was out and about, for the first time since 'it' happened... he wasn't sure how he felt about it, should he be happy now? Now that he was completely whole and himself again? He thought that it had all been over when he got back the missing half of his soul but he was wrong... he had never felt pain like he did last night, when his missing pieces, his horns, the boney structures around his ribs, his skin colors... when it all came back amidst the shadows of a nightmare...

He lifted a clawed hand to rub it over his ribs, feeling the things grow out through his skin had been... a nightmare in and of itself, not to mention the fact that he'd had another of his growth spurts which left his bones aching to their core and left him feeling rather hungry too.

The dream had been the worst because of the pain though, he'd woke up screaming and took a swing at the shadowy shape looming over him, shaking him and ended up leaving yet another set of deep wounds on his father... why the man even kept a monster like him around was beyond Duncan's understanding. He shook his head, forcing those types of thoughts away as he headed along, down the sidewalk that would lead him to where he could find and buy food.

He wasn't ready to go home yet, had rushed out after seeing his father once again bleeding because of his action... Duncan gave a growling sound, swinging to hit a nearby wall wanting to get that image out of his head. He would just wait to go home or not go home at all. Food first though, food then he would figure out where to go next, what to do next...

Duncan's mind was a little one track today and he would no doubt have missed the boy standing at the window, drooling if it hadn't been for the fact that the edge of his wing bumped into the other's wing producing a chiming sound that caused him to freeze in his tracks. He turned around slowly all the dark thoughts seeming to flow away as he found himself starring at the wings first... then the rest of the kid.

His colors looked... familiar, like that girl he'd met... what was her name again? Lori? Lori's skin color and his wings... he found himself walking to get a better look at him... he lacked the second mouth on his stomach but had similar ears. The teenager either didn't notice or didn't care that he was starring in an unblinking manner at the much smaller spawn with his trio of eyes.

He was far to curious at the moment to be bothered with things like politeness.

Duncan gave a nod of his head, "Yes..." It was the first time he'd seen those wings on anyone but 'Brother' Jhor... it was a little strange, almost surreal like his first meeting with another kid that had Shar's blood in them. He couldn't help but stare a moment longer before two of his three eyes blinked, the yellow remaining ever open and attentive on everything going on around him.

"Yes, so I see. First first time I've met another half breed with them." He said finally, giving a smile that showed sharp teeth, "I'm Duncan, and you?" While he might not normally converse with someone this young he found this kid to be interesting for the pure and simple fact that they shared DNA.

Duncan's trio of eyes went slightly wide before he gave a little laugh, somehow surprised and amused by the fact that while the kid seemed shy enough his stomach wasn't. He turned to look in the window of the shop that the kid had been starring into before looking down at him, "Hungry I take it? Same here... haven't had anything to eat yet today." He didn't bother to explain why, it was nobody's business but his own after all.

"Come on, I could use the company." Maybe having someone cute come along would keep people from thinking he was there to terrorize the place or rob it... he could only guess what their reaction to someone like him could be.

Duncan gave a shrug of his shoulders, walking toward the door, "One time offer of me paying, it will be gone if I head in by myself though." He said, not pausing as he lifted one clawed hand up to pull the door open. He didn't want to stand in the street and argue with the kid or look like a person trying to lure him off or something... just wanted to get something to eat and since the kid with the same wings as him was hungry to it only made sense that they ate together.

Duncan gave a jump of surprise, not really used to people hugging him aside from Adriel and his tentacles who were more then happy to smother a person to death with their affection, "Ahh... yeah, don't mention it. Really." He said, leading the way inside. He had no real interest in people realizing that he could be nice, after all given what he was capable of his knew that his 'nice side' wasn't exactly reliable. His darker self was stronger and it took all he had to keep it surpressed.

He quickly checked the two of them in a waiter who led them to an empty table, "What can I get you to drink today Sirs?" He asked, giving the odd looking pair a glance before getting out his pad of paper to right it down.

"Just water for me." Duncan said then glanced over at Dane, "And you?"

"I'll have the drinks right out." The man said in a helpful manner before motioning, "Feel free to head up and fill your plate." He turned and headed off to fill the drink orders after that.

Duncan watched him go, his yellow eye flittering around to take in everyone and size them up before focusing on where the food was. It seemed to have found nobody that it would mark as being dangerous so now all of Duncan's attention was on food, "Come on then, we get to serve ourselves here. As much as you can safely balance on a plate. Then you go back for more when your done."

As much as one could eat.

Duncan returned to the table with a plate stacked high with little more then meat and stuff to dip the various animals in. He sat down and didn't even bother with a fork before he started to dig into his food. When Dane joined him he couldn't help but grin, "Good stacking skills." He told the boy, seeing how much he'd been able to get on his plate.
