Hey guys.
I just bought a new epiphone sg 1966 special edition. I put new ernie ball slinkies on it, and now about a week later, every time I even bend a note on my g string it goes untuned. I put tension on the strings when I changed them too. Is there anything I could do to prevent this from happening? much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Where did you get this guitar?

Have you tried changing to another make of strings?

I got it at my local guitar center.

Yes, I have, it also did the same thing with diadarrio XL's.

When you tune your guitar, make sure that you start with the note lower than what you want it, and then tune up to that note. If the last movement you make while tuning is tuning down, then that is very likely to happen.

i would suggest not using ernie ball slinkey's lol xp
jk. but it might be the way the strings are placed on the nut. you should get some nut lubricant, also known as: (try not to laugh) nut sauce! rofl

it could be also the way you wraped your strings on your tuning pegs .
