Siti was having a hard time sleeping for the past two days. She would simply lie awake in the den and then after Jishin, Udo, and Korrin were asleep she snuck out into the night. Siti figured the time was near, most likely this week, but not tonight.
So tonight she wandered, restless, in the cool night air. Her large belly rolled beneath her and she smiled knowing her cubs would come into the world soon. Siti was a bit sad because she felt Jishin may be leaving her soon. She veiwed the leotah, as a daughter, but it seemed to Siti that she seemed to have a pretty good grasp on manners and Siti would have to stop for some time soon, and she wondered if Jishin would keep moving on.
It would be a wonderful sad week.

He smelled blood.
And although it wasn't as fresh, nor the right scent of blood that he was looking for, it made his nose wrinkle. In disgust? Perhaps. Certainly not in favor or liking. He wondered who was about to give birth. Her stomach must be so swollen and rounded...
Chardon made a face but continued to walk forward anyway, knowing full well that he was headed straight towards the smell itself. He didn't know why he had left his sister in the middle of the night. He told himself that it was because he was hungry. A "midnight snack," he would tell her if she asked.
But, really, it was to think.
And he couldn't really think with blood in the air.

Siti stopped her walk suddenly, thinking she heard something. She spun around and looked through the grasses, but as of yet saw nothing. She knew she was not far from the den and it could have just been Jishin, Udo, or Korrin waking in the night. At the same time, it could have been an intruder, and although she really wanted to head back to the den know, she knew if it was an intruder she would probably lead them straight there.
Siti moved further out into more open grasses and hoped the intrusion to her peaceful walk was a friendly one. She shuttered thinking about the night she encountered Barakillian, the reason for the scars on her face. Siti could not afford a fight, not right now.
Siti kept looking around to see in she could see the intruder, fore she could not smell him. Her scent was simply stronger and more dominatig right now.

Indeed, the female's scent cancelled out all others. A fact that Chardon was both grateful for and fearful of. If she couldn't smell him, then he could walk along unnoticed. But if there was another predator out there that he couldn't smell, and she could either, who know what could happen if one sneaked up on them?
From his position in the grasses, he could easily see the female's form. Who couldn't? Her head was a bright white that gleamed in the moonlight. The rest of her body kind of blended in with the shadows. As did his; not even his eyes sparkled as they normally did in the sunlight. Their blackness was one with the night.
He couldn't take it anymore. If they were going to meet anyway, why not be polite and introduce himself first? Perhaps she would be nice and not try to run him off.
"Good evening, lady," he called out in a soothing, suave voice. Confidence radiated over him. Meeting new people had never been an issue. A knowing smile crept up on his lips as he noisily padded towards her.

Siti could feels eyes on her, but still jumped slightly as the males greeting as he came into veiw. However, she was calmed by it's politeness and did not back any further away from the male.
"Oh, hello there. You frightened me a bit, but I am glad to able to see you. My name is Nabila Siti. What might your name be?"
Siti sat and smiled she hoped maybe a conversation could cure her restlessness and eventually allow her to be able to rest when she returned to her den. She looked over the male, his dark colors blending in the the night and the grasses around them. He was intruguing and although his colors were not as bright he reminded her slightly of Hak.

Chardon remained standing, still with a polite, friendly smile upon his face.
"Forgive me," he said softly. "It's dark and there are not often friends I find wandering around late at night. One must be careful, you know." He winked slightly. "Speaking of which, what are you doing out so late, if I may ask?"
Curious, he was. An attractive female like herself? Pregnant, too. That could spell danger in many different ways. She was lucky he had found her first.

Siti was happy to know that the male seemed to mean no harm to her and nodded to him when he mentioned being careful.
"I know all to well that not all who wander in the night are friendly, I have the scars as proof of that fact." Barakillian had not been friendly and the large lion had slashed her across the face with his paws with enough force to blind her for a few days.
Siti caught the wink and felt her skin heat up beneath her fur, "I was feeling a bit restless. My time is near and well I have been having a hard time sleeping. I find a walk often helps, although I am highly alert to the things going on around me."
One would think the reason was most obviously the cubs she now carried, but it was more so the 'cubs' that now slept back at the den. She knew Jishin could take care of herself but Udo and Korrin were younger and even Jishin was still not fully grown yet.
"May I ask what it is you are doing wandering about so late?"

Mm, yes. He could faintly see the scars that marred her face. He suspected that the experience had not been a good one (obviously), but if one learned from their encounters, then at least they became bigger than the one who attacked them. One would hope, at least.
"Ah, I know the feeling of restlessness." He nodded sympathetically. Chardon eyed the size of her swollen belly. "I hope your cubs come with no complications and in perfect health," he offered. "And safely."
To his pride, cubs were a joy of life. Every member taught and played and loved the cubs that they had. He loved the little buggers. And they loved him. It was always a secret dream of his to have a big family one day, with a loving mate.
"Myself? I'm exploring. I'm too tired to sleep, and sometimes it's cooler to travel at night than in the day. So if I rest during the day and travel at night, I control my energy and such.
"That, and I'm happy to meet new faces along the way anyway. Especially pretty ones like yours."

Siti smiled happy to know that Chardon understood what it was like to feel restless and thankful for his well wishing to the birth of her cubs. It was not often she got a well wish for the event and it was pleasing.
"Thank you very much. I do so help that they come safely and are healthy."
Siti loved cub and it was for that reason she was not one to turn a cub away. She was always willing to teach, love and care for a cub or anyone in need. She knew she wanted a large litter and even after that she already knew she wanted more cubs. She could not wait for the day when she found a mate to stand by her side to help her raise her family.
"It does pay to travel at night, but not when you have a young one who seems not to care for the dark to much. I have travled most of my life and know a lot of the rogue lands. I slept and traveled as I pleased before me became four."
Siti was happy he was happy to meet her and she was sure her cheeks were so red at his compliment to her looks. "Thank you very much. I enjoy meeting new faces and making new friend as well. Friends are very good assest to have when one has no pride."

He gave her another nod in a polite "you're welcome."
"I would imagine it would be significantly more difficult traveling with a cub, or anyone younger than yourself," Chardon sympathized. He wouldn't appreciate having to take a cub along an adventure with him; they were small and got in the way and were whiny at times. Though he loved cubs himself, sometimes they weren't really needed all the time.
Which was a terrible thought. In his pride, he was one of the lions who volunteered to play with the pride's youngest members. But now that he'd experienced the outside world, he found himself liking the solitude and also the company of others his age when he found new people.
"It is good to have friends. That way you can learn where they are, and whenever you might pass by their home again, you can come and visit," he chuckled.

Siti smiled, she loved cubs and loved having them around her. To her they were not a burden in any way. "It is not as difficult as one would think. I only recently have come to travel with them and they are a great joy. It can get lonely when you travel alone and I find at time that they have more energy than I do. Not to mention that two of them are not that young."
Siti nodded, Chardon was right about friends. When her cubs were older Siti knew she would be visiting most of them again.
"I know that I will go to visit my friends again in time. I love making new friends and am usually happy to meet a new face. I travel a lot however so I'm afraid most will not be able to visit me. I have only ever run into one friend twice and that was pure chance. I think however my days of constant travel will soon pass."
Siti lay down on the ground and yawned slightly. Her restlessness was beginning to pass and she was thankful that Chardon had come by and now conversed with her. It was helping her to wind down.

"The only cubs I've ever interacted with were the little ones of our pride, sadly." Chardon let out a chuckle. "So far, I haven't found the right girl to settle down with and raise a family. Although I would love to do so." This was true. Although while still in the pride, having cubs with Cala would be strictly against the rules, even though he would have liked to. Because then the pride would figure out where, exactly the cubs had come from and who the father was.
It would have been a rather sticky situation.
He smiled as she lay on the ground. He didn't blame her; if he was carrying as heavy a load, he would certainly take the opportunity to rest as well.
"I'm sure. You're due soon, yes? I suspect it won't be long before you'll be up and traveling again after you've had your cubs," he joked.

"I do so hope you have lots of luck in finding a mate and settling down to raise a family. I bet it will happen when you least expect it. That the way it seems to work." Siti had not been expecting to run into Mito a second time, yet alone mate with him and was a shocked to become pregnant. It was a blessing, however, and Siti simply excepted it.
She yawn again and smiled. She hoped to one day find a mate, but she was sure that day would come when her cubs were older.
"Yes, the cubs will come very soon. It will be most likely within the week. I thought I was tired now, but I am sure soon I will be exceptionally so. Running about after my cubs, birthed and adopted."
She looked to Chardon, he seemed like a very nice lion and she bet it would not be to long before he was chasing after cubs as well, but she decided to keep that thought to herself.

"Thank you," he replied, bowing his head in response to her good blessing. "I hope to find her someday. Sooner rather than later, but as you say, it could very well happen when I least expect it."
It was every lion's duty, Chardon thought, to find a mate and be happy in life with a family of their own. That was their right, and one should not be denied that right.
Oh, she had adopted? Well she was just being very motherly then, wasn't she? It made him smile. Good for her.
"Yes, cubs give you exercise and trouble and happiness all rolled into one," he laughed. "Good luck with having such a small little hoarde."

Siti smiled as Char thanked her, she was happy to see a male who wished to find a mate, settle down and raise a family. She thought it would be funny if he adopted cubs or they simply attached themselves to her. When she found Udo and Korrin, she had not really thought about keeping them, but now she couldnt see herself without them. the same went for Jishin, but she knew the young leotah would be leavig her and it was something that couldn't be helped.
"Thank you," she responded to his well wishes of good luck, "I am sure I will need all the luck I can get keeping them all in order, I am beginning to think with all the kicking this will not be a very small litter. I hope it is not to hard to keep all the names in order."
Siti sat up and curled her tail around her legs in a very domecticated cat manner, but of course she wouldnt know that. "Good luck to you, in finding a mate and in your travels. I wish you many future friends."
