Originally as you all knew I spoke a different language from English and trying not to lose it can be hard, however even harder is to change your writing style to accommodate to the old language so for all you who obviously like to see one my early translated works here it comes "Angeles con caras negras" = Angels with dirty Faces

I get what you're saying.. I dunno when I was learning spanish "con sus amigos/as" -actually in a class, I sorta got the idea that reversing all the stuff that doesn't happen in english would be a pain for a spanish speaker.
The languages I knew were simpler *takes less words to say something* than english.. but I like english and spanish seems a bit too hard to get into.
Oh.. here's one "deo na ruo" = I don't harbor hard feelings/ill will.
"angalia juu" =look up *literary*
I dunno.. I used to break out of english a lot the first few months I was here... lol conditioning's hard to break out of.. *old habits die hard and all that*
I wonder if anyone else hear chats in other languages..

I think we are the only two forefingers at all, but your language has no male or female does it? That what kills me when translating in spanish is "la doctora" but in english is not the she-doctor or the male-mailman

The language I spoke is a lot like english in that it was a trade language..
-english is a mix of other languages and for a long time i don't think it was considered legitimate.. but the best thing about those languages is that they cut all the formality out of it *like the la and lo in spanish..* so it's not as bulky as a language..
So you're left with the most useful parts.. English wouldn't be what it is if it weren't for the other languages that make it up.. neither would the one I speak.. lol.. I shuts up now.. =.=...

I remember when I took Spanish I had the hardest time conjugating everything, I could never remember the rules, especially with the irregulars xp Then I took Latin......made Spanish seem a lot more logical. I'm now a big fan of making elementary kids learn Latin, especially if they plan on taking a romance language in High School.

Yup I took Latin. One semester in college, I figured it would help me make more sense out of a lot of the terms we use in Anthropology. I was right biggrin I wanted to take more classes but classes I needed for my actual degree kept getting in the way sad
