Im just wondering since I bought Innocence when it first came out and mines subtitled for the deaf. It says things like foot steps approaching. I heard you can get a new disc, but I dont know where. Maybe if I keep this disc itll be worth more? pirate

Perhaps... Perhaps not It's by dreamworks and if they don't think it should be dubbed, then I don't know if anyone else will. confused

I kind ahope they don't dub it... I'm so used of hearing batou's japanese voice on that movie that if I heard it dubed... it proably just wouldn't sound right....yeah I thought it was kinda silly when they put in things that were very aparent....but it doesn't change the fact that I love the movie!

If you check on the official GiTS website they may still have info on how to exchange the disc for one that has regular sbutitles. The offer may have expired by now, just so you know.
Frankly, I really do no want them to dub the movie. As Archangelwar meantioned, it would no longer seem as right once you heard the english voices.

I think dubbed and subbed have their advantages, but I prefer dubbed. That way I don't have to pause s**t or rewind the action. ninja

That's why I like sub/dub DVDs. That way I can choose which one I want. But if it's being marketed by Dreamworks...Maybe subs are better... xp

I don't think there will be a dubbed version for innocence. If they had pland on making one, they would have made it before they released it on DVD. But I don't mind the Japanese version, it is still very good to me. And because it is only in Japanese, stores sell it for a much cheeper price. lol

I doubt they'll ever dub it. It's not even real japenese, really. The japenese used in the movie is a dead form of the language. Not many japenese people even understand it - so they're reading subtitles too! rofl

Back in late August, there was an article saying that Richard Epcar will personally direct the dub for Innocence and he'll be using the same cast as SAC to reprise their roles. I personally don't mind sub or dub, they're both good to me. But knowing that Richard himself is doing it, I'm sure it'll be good. I mean come on, he's Batou! xd
Casting started in September, so who knows when it'll come out, maybe next summer.
