I wanna talk about this problem. I love my PS3. It's my pride and joy to put it simply. Today at about 6:48pm it shut down during an online match I was hosting on Lost Planet. Now my disc is in there and it won't turn on. I'm going to give it til morning and then I'm calling SONY. All my gaming skills gone in the blink of an eye. crying Has this happened to anyone else?
Edit:
Just thought of telling the people that this problem was fixed by Sony for me last year. 3nodding

It's froze on me a couple times lately during LBP, but never anything where I couldn't get it back on. I've heard on message boards of similar problems. Sony'll probably tell you to send it in...and they'll send the game with when they send you back your Playstation.

Ya I called them and the guy said I burned something out. Now I have to pay to send it to them for the repairs. I don't mind the price really because it's been almost a complete 2 years which means my warranty has been void since Feb. of this year. Hopefully it all goes by fast and it will become a distant terrible memory. mrgreen The day is so boring without it stare
Seriously though? In this guild I am the only one so far that got YLOD'd?

Every now and then on the PSU boards you'll see people with problems. It happens. You're not a lone. It may take awhile to get it back. I believe someone in my Warhawk clan was without it for like 6 weeks or so. SO...find a new hobby bro. We'll pop the Campaign when you get it back.

Amazingly I have been keeping my mind off it. xd I have yet to get the box to ship the blasted thing. stare It feels like along time but at the same time it doesn't.
@ s0njas0n - Well hopefully you don't recieve the same problem as I did. sweatdrop

Yeah...there's life outside of Playstation. And it's not a bad one. More girls and less aliens trying to kill you. I'm sure you'll live. But you'll be glad to see it when it's back.

ShinraGT It's froze on me a couple times lately during LBP, but never anything where I couldn't get it back on. Same here. I think it's because we're playing to much, making the PS3 overheat. Lol.

I think it has more to do with the crappy servers. More often than not it'd happen when trying to let someone join...or if the host left. It was always in transition.

Ya it used to freeze on me but it stopped and came back with the ultimate destroyer. xd @ShinraGT - Life is good without it but its a definate thing that I will be glad to see it work again. cool

I hear that man. I'm sure I could live with out it. I've gone phases where I haven't played it for weeks or more. BUT...that hasn't been the case lately. I'd probably miss it more now that I've started playing more online

That was my problem first, going back to my ps2 with no online. stare I haven't played it at all until today.

PS2 is a great system. Maybe hit up your local game shop and pick something up you've never tried before. I used to do that occasionally. Just go in and grab a random game. Try Bujingai or Ring of Red. I liked those games a lot, but I know almost no one who's heard of em. Bujingai is like PS2's version of Ninja Gaiden and Ring of Red is a mecha strategy game...kinda like advance wars. They're not AMAZING games, but they're cheap wink
