Cyrus streched as he lounged at Harry's bar. Oh, woe to the poor sucker that crossed him today. Not only had he been chewed out by a friend for COMING to the bar on a regular basis...he hadn't made enough money through Engaging this month to pay rent. So he was a homeless little Daruma with a bad attitude and hot tempermant. Not to say he wasn't a good guy. He had the possibility to be. He just chose not to most of the time. Settling down, he ordered something alcoholic, gods knew what, he just raised his hand and Harry handed him something that smelled like alcohol. Taking a deep swig, Cyrus had to muffle a small cough.

"To being homeless and still having to fight another day...cheers, you messed up little world," he mumbled to no one in particular. Oh well. Life was just a b***h sometimes. He sighed, shaking his head. Welp. He had to think about his choices now. Best part about being on the bad side of town was you could always find a good, stable, cardboard box for the evening. Well, truth be told, even though he didn't have enough for his outrageously high rent, Cy did have enough for an alright room in this area for a few days. Then....well, he'd have to fight for money again. Gods knew he wouldn't pull punches when the time came, he had to fight for his money. He wasn't like the cushy Daruma's that worked for a living. He wished he did though. It'd be nice to do something....normal, to say the least. With a sigh, he shook his head again and took another swig.

"I really gotta find a roomie....or at least a landlord....one who doesn't care if the money is a little shady...." he sighed, pounding his head on the tabletop.

The passenger ship glided through the air, a familiar setting for Haeme, he had been to Nundinae once before and this was his second visit. Despite having come here once before, Haeme was still just as excited to visit the underground metropolis once again. The sights and sounds of all the different happenings excited him greatly and it was showing as he bounded from window to window to get a full view of everything. Like his previous trip, he was here to get another item, this time, he would have to inquire somewhere about where to get it. This item was going to be far more difficult to procure.

With a hiss of steam, the passenger ship landed in the Cargo Bays. Haeme and the two other passengers on board got off. Deciding he would need some directions, he asked a nearby Daruma who seemed to be taking a short break. "Hi, I was wondering where would be a good place to go for information in Nundinae?" and was curtly replied with a point of a finger and a short grunt. "Umm, okay, thanks...?" bid Haeme as he went on his way, noticing that the only landmark in that general direction seemed to be Ferrum's Tavern.

As he reached the Tavern, he noticed that there was a sign out that indicated that today was their rest day. Heaving a loud sigh, Haeme dejectedly turned around to go look for more information. As he was leaving the area, he noticed a small pub or bar out of the corner of his eye and thought gleefully to himself That should be a good place to gather more information! as he headed to the bar.

Pushing open the doors, he smelled the strong stench of smoke, alcohol and sweat. The bar was rather empty at this time of the day, save for a lone customer and the bartender. Walking up to him, Haeme cleared his throat and asked "Hello there, I was wondering, would this be a good place to get information?"

Cyrus quirked an eyebrow at the newcomer. Why wasn't he at Ferrum's, bothering someone else? Ah well, might as well let the guy sit down. If he was looking for information, especially here in Nundinae, he wasn't lookin for anything innocent. Nope. This was a guy that you'd either get killed for, have to fight, or make an incredibly good contact higher up with. Cyrus was hoping for the third, but was still wary of the former two. Jerking his head to the seat next to his, he hailed the barkie to give him another for his new little buisness partner. Resting his chin on his hand, his ears quirked. A nasty little habit of his, his ears twitching in different ways while his tail flicked once, then twice. He'd read in a history book once that cats did it. Wierd. That aside, Cyrus really was interested in this newcomer.

He was well-groomed, if not a bit intimidating to the eyes. Not that Cyrus was, since he was used to that reaction himself. People saw the fangs, and the sinister look about him that he was just....born with, really, and they tended to stand back a few paces. This alone made him feel for the guy a little. Did he even KNOW who the informants of this town were? Cyrus knew quite a few of them, had to know who was the easiest pickings for betting on Engages and whatnot. Taking a swig of whatever alcohol was in the glass and trying not to think about where it came. You never knew with Harry really.

"So....first off, we need to discuss payment for my services. I will give you no more but no less than what you need from me...I'm not ratting anyone out. That would be bad buisness, you see. I suppose there's no harm in you knowing my name, you seem like a nice guy from the posh parts of town, so I'll trust you..." he quipped, twitching his ears again, and switching directions of his tail twitching.

"I'm Cyrus. A pleasure, mate...now, what's your little endeavor you want info on?" he questioned, trying to make his tone softer than it usually was. It was obvious this guy wasn't very......how to say it.....streetsmart?

Haeme found the orange coloured Daruma rather interesting. He noticed that the Daruma had a habit of flicking his tail and twitching his ears. Eying his ears intently, Haeme took the seat offered to him. As soon as Haeme heard the word 'payment', he snapped back into focus and turned his attention to the Daruma's face. Flicking his tail listlessly, Haeme replied "I hope you don't think you can easily wrangle some money out of me because," pausing for a dramatic effect, Haeme continued "I'm not as oblivious as you think I am. I will pay you handsomely if I manage to get what I want. In fact, I'll pay for the information and give you more at the end if I do get the item I'm procuring."

With that said, Haeme waved to the barkeep not to bring him the drink, instead, Haeme changed the order to a Bloody Mary. Sipping the drink gingerly, Haeme continued "Since you've introduced yourself, I'll do so too. I'm Haeme, nice to meet you Cyrus." Looking around cautiously, Haeme ensured that no one was listening in on their conversation before divulging the information in a whisper into Cyrus' ear "I am looking for a certain banned machine called the 'Gene Isomorphism Transducer'."

Cyrus raised his eyebrows. He wasn't big on machinery, but the word 'banned' rang to his core. Yep. This was high quality black market stuff. Best go to Yuudae. That man.....he knew everything that was going on everywhere. He was strange though. Owned a shady bath-house on the other side of Nundinae. Tons of girls there though. Tons of pretty guys too. Cyrus wasn't picky. While Haeme here was taking care of buisness, Cy could spend his time flirting. That was always fun. He smirked to himself as he drained the last of his glass, waving at Harry to give him a Black Russian. Just because he felt like it.

"Well. Walk with me a while then, Haeme. I know this guy, Yuudae. He claims he's one of those....god, what was that in history class....yeah! Orientals and whatnot....he knows everything going on in Numdinae. If you want that machine, you'll wanna go to him. Lucky for you that you met me. He only lets certain patrons into his bathhouse," he shrugged, drinking the Black Russian in quick order and licking his lips. Extending a hand to Haeme, he nodded. "We got an accord, then?"

While he was waiting for Haeme to take his hand, he wondered what this thing was exactly. No matter. Yuudae would know, and would probably tell him about it. The guy was always trying to hire Cy as a bodyguard. Not that Cy wasn't ever tempted, he just didn't want to risk his neck for somebody else. That was just.....stupid. He had to admit though, he felt a little more respect for the Canis because he'd refuted Cyrus's initial evaluation of his character. Either way. It was a job, and one that Cy was happy to take. Under his breath, he shook his head, his ears twitching nervously. Damn that concience of his.

"She's gonna kill me if she finds out about this, I'm sure......" he muttered mostly to himself.

Getting up from his seat without even taking a sip of his Bloody Mary, Haeme paid for it in cash and motioned for Cyrus to lead the way. He didn't quite expect that Cyrus was going to lead him to another Daruma, especially since he had heard rumors of every resident in Nundinae being very well informed. Replying Cyrus after collecting his thoughts, Haeme said "I don't mind going to meet another guy, but I have two questions. One, does he have a loose trap? And two, do I have to pay him too?"

The Daruma that ran the bathhouse would surely be exceptionally well informed since he ran a business that would allow people to relax and chat more. Haeme wasn't interested in going for a relaxing bath session though, he was more keen in finding out how to procure the machine. If it meant getting the machine, however, Haeme would go through a session. Nodding his thanks to the Barkeep, Haeme decided to take a sip of the Bloody Mary before leaving. Lifting the glass to his lips, he took a gulp of the drink and sighed in satisfaction The bartender is good. And with that thought, Haeme exited the bar and awaited Cyrus' directions to the bathhouse.

{{This is long overdue...sorry Ava....T^T}}

Cyrus shook his head. If nothing else, he knew people who didn't talk to outsiders a lot....hell, the people he knew didn't talk to insiders a lot either. He had few friends, none of them in this part of town, but the allies he had here were reliable guys. "Don't worry....he keeps quiet. And no, you won't have to pay em....he owes me. I fought for him a while back until I paid my way outta his service. Then I fought a little longer so he could make a quick buck, so he's due for a visit from me anyways." he shrugged, twitching his ears as he led Haeme out onto the street, noting the Canis's sigh of satisfaction. Yeah. The barkie was a good one. The walk to Yuudae's wasn't far, actually, it was two streets down and down an alleyway.

Weaving his way through the streets and glaring wickedly at anyone who happened to look at them with interest, he led Haeme down to the door leading to Yuudae's bathhouse. It was hard to find for most, even though there were massive amounts of steam pouring from under the edge of the door. Rapping on the door four times quickly, twice slowly, and another three times at a medium then quick pace, the door opened and he looked behind Haeme to make sure they weren't followed. Leading the way, as was expeted he supposed, he glared at the flunkie that was approaching them.

"You're not bringing anything dangerous in here, are you Cy? You've been known to deal with......questionable folk." the guy asked, raising an eyebrow. To this, Cy responded the only way he felt was appropriate.

He clawed the guy upside the head with a sound punch, knocking the poor Lepus back on the ground and giving him a sound bruise on the side of his face by the time morning came. Pleased with himself, Cyrus puffed up a little and twitched his tail a few times. How fun this was turning out to be. Walking in and making sure Haeme followed, he went through a series of rooms, all in a slightly Japanese style, with huge baths set at the sides, and cloth hanging from the tops of open doorways. Finally reaching the last room, Cyrus bowed as he approached a Canis with strange gold, red, and black coloring.

"Yuudae....I've got someone here that wants to deal with you.....I decided to call in my 'favor' you offered me before. You get no pay for this one, and keeping your trap shut is a given, mate...." he quipped, clearly stating the rules of their agreement beforehand. Best to deal with the devil on a very professional basis. Yuudae nodded, agreeing silently to the terms. For he did owe the strange looking Lepus, and his equally strange looking Canis companion intrigued him.

"What is it that you need......Forgive me, I didn't catch your name from our mutual friend, Cy...." he smiled wickedly, throughly intrigued and ready to give out information if it proved interesting. Besides. If Cyrus was coming to cash in that debt, he was hurting for money. Probably homeless again.

Following Cyrus out, Haeme caught that twitch in his ears again. Staring intently at Cyrus' ears as they twitched, Haeme thought about the meeting. I think this Cyrus guy should be trustworthy, I hope the guy who owes him a favour is as well. This better go smoothly or heads will roll, even mine.

Peering around curiously as they made their way through the streets, Haeme noted every distinct feature, memorising it and making mental notes. He was highly intelligent and was able to do all these easily, allowing him to backtrack and chart areas easily, especially useful in his line of work. He needed to get this all in quick and easily so he could make his way out alone if necessary. No point finding another person and paying them to navigate. Information on the other hand was a different issue.

After a tedious weaving through the streets, Haeme was led to a door, where Cyrus nervously rapt out a code. Noting it mentally again, Haeme watched and waited patiently. Soon enough, the door swung open and Cyrus led him into the bathhouse. Coming face to face with a Lepus, Cyrus was greeted with a less than favourable greeting and returned the favour with a claw to the head.

Feeling that the punch was meant as a warning to both the Lepus and him, Haeme subconsciously distanced himself from Cyrus as he stared intently at the, again, twitching tail. He was evidently curious about all the twitching that Cyrus was doing. At the end of their long venture into the bathhouse, Haeme came face to face with another Canis.

Nodding to Cyrus as he gave a brief introduction, Haeme gave the oddly coloured Canis a quick look over, before replying "My name is Haeme. Pleasure to meet you Yuudae." Thinking over what to tell him and what not, Haeme decided as little as possible would be the best and informed Yuudae "I would prefer if as little people would know about this as possible. I want to find out where I can get a Gene Isomorphism Transducer."
