Thank you. He was a little brother with fur to me. And that's the first time I've heard someone call his eyes 'lovely'.

Marbs loved just about everyone. But he absolutely hated baths. (I think it's cause we put him in water we didn't know was cold for his first bath...)

He'd just run from the hose. We'd have to hold his collar while we bathed him.
Bathtime was the reason God invented bathingsuits!

Scorpiomarie BlueMoon4 Marbs loved just about everyone. But he absolutely hated baths. (I think it's cause we put him in water we didn't know was cold for his first bath...) ever try cat wipes? my cat fiver once ran up into the attic and we didnt know if she ran away and when mom checked the attic she said she saw two tiny eyes in the corner of the attic. when we brung her down she was crying and mom whiped her down with cat wipes. she was so scared.

This is my beautiful, Short Hair Syrian, Boobie. She died this past March. She was about 2 1/2 years old. She had a tumor in her stomach that caused internal bleeding. It was a terrible day for me! Thinking about her still makes me cry cause I miss her so much! crying
I've always had Hamsters since I was about 7 (sometimes I even had 2 or 3 in seperate cages) but NONE of them compare to Boobie! She really was special.
I've never bonded with a Hamster like we were.
As she got closer to us, we wouldn't put her in the ball. We would just let her run around in the living room with us. She would sit on the couch with us while we watched TV.
She NEVER ONCE bit anyone!! Not me, my husband, friends or family- anyone that wanted to play with her.
She COMPLETELY potty-trained HERSELF. I never trained her. She never, ever went to the bathroom outside the tank. I've never seen a hamster do that on his/her own.
This is the day we brought her home! She was friendly and sweet right off the bat...
She really was a special animal. So full of life. Always making me smile. Brightening my day. I love her so much. There will never be another like her. blaugh 
This her during her final hour. She was bleeding, couldn't hold her bowels, and was shaking with cold. I wrapped her in washclothes to keep her warm. I held her like a baby, close to my heart, all day, so she wouldn't have to be alone. 
R.I.P. Boobie, I hope I gave her a good life.

Thanks so much! Do you have pictures of Zippy up? I'd love to see them. It's so nice to have a place that understands. In the past, if I had a small creature (Hamster, Gerbil, Lizard, etc..) that passed away and I got broken up about it, friends and people around me would make fun of me... They would say things like: 'It was a 5$ pet, just go buy another one.' or 'You can't possible miss it that much, all it did was sleep and eat'... etc. It was very hurtful.
And like I said, losing Boobie was a really hard blow for me, cause I loved and cared for her like none other...
It's nice to give her a little tribute!

Some of the pics are big lolz. Yep, I understand, no matter how small an animal may be, they are still animals, and if you have them as pets, when they pass away, its just like loosing a friend.
