I posted this in another guild but I will make it easier for reading here by first posting symptoms and how a normal night for the past two months have gone.

1. Waking up with bloody murder screams only for me to come running to find her back to sleep.
2. Her panting and crying half awake rolling around in her bed
Only thing that makes me worry is out of habit I pick her up and she smacks me then wakes up and then hugs me and goes back to sleep.

Now I know babies go through phases and with each new phase my patience does kinda run thin and lately I fuss at her and almost yell because she screams and cries for no reason at all I did the ignore thing but it leads to blood curdling screams which drive me up the wall. But other then that she is a happy baby at 8 months singing dancing and showing signs that I can SO start potty training next year by holding her bladder and then doing after an hour what me and my hubby have learned to call power piss hour! but still When these started I didnt think night terrors she always smacks me awake or asleep so I didnt think about it till I realized half the time after she slaps me that she was practically asleep.
She did this once a month after she hit the 2 month mark and I was concerned but I didnt think nothing of it...I mean my husband has night terrors at high levels of stress and leads to him panting in his sleep and tossing and turning and all I do is pat his back and help him calm down. but lately it seems to happen every 2-3 weeks with her and when it does it throws her off schedule.

Things I checked because of what webmd said cause them
-Temperature: She doesnt have one infact people always think she does because she is very warm blooded she is nice and toasty infact >.> she has always loved being cold it gets me in trouble!
-(illnesses that are cold related) she doesnt have any of those she had a stuffy nose last month but I gave her lost of milk and some water and vics baby vapo rub but that lasted 2 days.

so here is my question is it possible or am i freaking out for no reason?

EDITS!!
Okay so she had two night terrors this week during nap time one with me and one with my mom Freaked us both out but she was fine!

And I am cured of the 3 o'clock feedings! I am doing the rice cereal mixture and giving her some crackers before bed and she sleeps now till almost 7! she still doesnt wake up telling me she isnt hungry XD but I know her enough to know she is!

I would like to thank the lovely Lady who posted for the help! because with out you D: I would be back to the first 2 weeks of her life all over again!

I don't think you're overreacting - if I heard "blood curdling screams" coming from my child, at any age, I'd be concerned, particularly if the episodes increased in frequency.

My best guess is gas pains - those hurt like hell on anybody, and babies are prone to them, particularly if they have a sensitive tummy. And no, they don't often wake up all the way during an episode, but they may react negatively to waking up and finding themselves being moved. If you're breast feeding, that means you have to go on the sleuthing diet - aka, figure out what you ate 24 hours before her last feeding, then look for a common thread. If you're bottle-feeding, try switching formulas - a lot of babies actually have trouble digesting cow milk and its derivatives but do fine on soy, while some babies have the opposite issue.

If it's obviously emotional...well, you've got a baby with a terrific memory, because it would have to be birth flashbacks (my daughter had those a bit, but never escalated to shrieks, just whimpers) or, if you want to go really far afield, it could be memories from a past life.

Me, I'd try the diet thing first, even if it does seem to be emotional. Couldn't hurt, might help.

Oh yeah, if she's a very fast grower and hungry all the time, she could be starving but too tired to wake up. In that case, mixing some rice cereal in with her bedtime bottle (or spoon-feeding a breast-fed baby) can really help her get enough to at least coast for a few hours. I know a few mothers who say they owe their sanity to rice cereal, even at pre-food ages.

And of course if you're really worried, talk to your doctor. Try the other stuff first, though, because the current fad is to put babies on antacids. Well, either that or it's a fad among babies to have acid reflux.

I am so agreeing with the memory thing (even the past life thing my baby sister had those) But she is a fast grower at 8 months she is eating solid food alot more but only seems to like foods with cheese im gonna try the rice cereal via bottle that might help her while going to bed!

She has a good memory she likes to try to climb the stairs...She slipped from the first step so now she thinks its bad so she goes to the second step now...She is really odd.

She has a doctors appointment next month so I might bring it up with them..I already worry she is adhd because it runs in my family in both forms.

I'm glad to hear that some of my advice has been helpful. I just sort of put down anything I ever remembered hearing that might be useful.

A question: ADHD has forms? I hadn't heard that one, unless you mean both ADD and ADHD. As a suggestion, I do find that many people exhibit symptoms of ADHD because they have a sensitivity to either something in the air or something in their diet. I'd look into that before I ever tried medication, because that stuff has nasty side effects. Panic attacks, for example.

Oh yeah I know my sister was medicated and now has severe depression at points. And her diet is rather simple She likes her veggies and is just now starting to like meats chicken Not only being healthy is her favorite! And everyone in my family has ADHD or ADD. I myself and ADD but my mom before she knew anything about it used timeout and a 1,2,3 system which worked for me ...my sister not so much. Sooo Im gonna give her till maybe first grade and see if the 1,2,3 system works.
