 A soft yawn emitted from the alpha male's mouth, as he stretched out. The sky had been mostly cloudless for the day, and the twilight had finally set in. He sat back down, watching the colors play across the sky. But with the new night, he felt he would not get much sleep. Glancing around, he smelled the air. It had been a few days since he had last fed, though he could hold out for another day. Just until he could figure out a way to explain his... 'condition' to Kega without freaking her out. And so far, he had not come up with anything.

Kega rolled a bit in her sleep. Her wings drooped and she was asleep. But slowly her eyes drooped open but it was not going to be able to be seen. She pulled herself up leaning on the edge of the rock she laid against. She sniffed the air once and said groggily " I am suspecting I should be sleeping.." She groaned.

 Melpomene was wandering around as twilight set in. She was thinking about how nothing bad had happen to anyone she had been around. "Perhaps things will change." She said thinking about what Gethin had told her when she first met him. She sniffed the air catching a couple of scents. One was familiar and the other wasn't. She wandered towards the one she didn't know.

Gethin stood and stretched lightly, turning and trotting to the addition to his pack. "That would be correct, it is only the twilight before the night." He gave a small smile, padding closer to Kega. "Unable to return to sleep?" Sniffing the air, he caught a whiff of a familiar scent, the smell of.. blood. It couldn't be mere coincidence, could it?

Kega's ears perk and she heard him. She nodded lightly and sighed as she shook her pelt of anything on her that had gotten on her in her sleep. THen she smelt something else and let out a small childish growl " Theres someone in the territory..."

As Melpomene drew closer to the strange scent she noticed that the familiar one was coming from the same spot. She passed through some tall brush and on the other side was Gethin and a strange female. She stopped as she studied the two. "Why hello again." She said in a bored voice, "Didn't expect to see you here. Who is your little friend?" She looked at Kega with her head tilted.

A small amused chuckle left his mouth--finding it amusing he had been right, turning to look back at Melpomene. "Hello again, indeed." Gethin paused, glancing over his... friend? Could he call her that? "This is Kega. Kega, meet Melpomene."

Kega was pointy the wrong way. But it was were she thought the other wolf was. She still growled lowly mostly out of fear and then mumbled " Hello..."

"Kega...... The one you told me about before? The one living with you?" Melpomene asked noting that the younger wolf was pointing in the wrong direction, "I'm over here." She tapped Kega's shoulder lightly with her head tilted still. Why was she growling?

"Yes, the very same." Gethin glanced at Kega, confused as to why she was growling. He padded closer, nudging her shoulder gently. "Everything is alright, Kega. You are in no danger.."

Kega had not known who the other was so she maybe took drastic measures. It smelt like blood like when she had came. She sighed and said " Hello Melpomene " She then nodded her head as she said the one living with him. The very same.

Melpomene nodded. "I see. Hello Kega." She said sitting down and wrapping her tail around her, "I would say nice to meet you but I don't think it's very nice when others meet me. I feel quite sorry for them in fact. Something must being going to happen to you two sometime."

Gethin glanced between Kega and Melpomene, choosing to remain standing. "No ill has befallen me since our encounter, Melpomene." He added lightly, feeling the small piece of information was valid.

Kega shifted her position to were she was sitting on her hunches. She just said " Well I don't think I will fall ill as easily by the fact of another wolf so I doubt it..." She huffed not sure what the other helix had meant.

Melpomene turned to look at Gethin and shrugged. "Hm..... perhaps the ill will befall you sometime later. I hope it doesn't gather and go boom all at once." She said looking back to Kega, "I wish getting sick would only be the extent of it. But what usually happens to those who meet me are very bad and sad things. Much worse than getting sick."
