I've realized that I'm very weak. So I guess for a bit I'll just level my rings. Anyone know a good place to farm for orbs?

Kokeshi give me more orbs than anything so I usually farm them. Though, I don't know your CL so Kokeshi might not work for you.

I haen't checked my CL lately, but I did get my a@$ handed to me by a Cherry Fluff. So I don't think I'll be in the Zen Gardens for a while.

Cherry fluffs kill me in 2 hits. What's nice about them is they only attack you if you attack them first so they aren't a big deal.
If you don't want to go to Zen Gardens then do DMP. I've been in there a million times. On average I get 7 orbs weather I solo it or go in with a crew so it's a good way to spend 10 minutes.

DuosAngel I haen't checked my CL lately, but I did get my a@$ handed to me by a Cherry Fluff. So I don't think I'll be in the Zen Gardens for a while. Yeah, I can kill several Cherry fluffs on my own now but when they were killing me in two hits I mostly killed Taiko drums. Dolls give nice drops though.

Necia-Nokomis where are the ghost lanterns? They're in the Northern part of Zen Gardens but they only come out at night.

It's not just a matter of "where". Try decreasing your CL, especially if you farm in an area you've already cleared. The balance of strength, between you and the animated you attack, plays a big part in the frequency and quality of the drop.

Haha, I read this thread, and got curious as to the Zen gardens and cherry fluffs. And I wanted to try to do some exploring and find some good Animated to fight for drops.
I went into the Zen gardens, and saw the cherry fluffs. They showed up green (using that conning thing) and I didn't know what the fuss was about. That meant they were probably as strong as the lawn gnomes were when I first started, right?
Oh, how wrong I was. I've never had my a$$ handed to me by something so pink and fluffy.
I blame the conning system. 4laugh
I think I'll be staying in Bill's Ranch for a while now.

Same for me. They were pretty easy to kill, but then one attacked me...
(never before have I lost 195 hit points at once. Only other time it's happened to me was on the beta server when I got an exploding cigar from Dusty)
I've found that you get better drops for multi-kills (i.e. killing four gnomes with a ring such as bump or deverish as opposed to one at a time with one like solar rays or mantis).

So far the lanterns have been giving me a good amount of orbs. As for dmp I've been able to solo up to the omgwtf. If there is bad lag I wouldn't recommend soloing. There is a few spots that are in the gardens that will be good once you get about 3.0

Wow, I can't believe people ae still posting in here. It makes me feel so loved (all my threads tend to die after the first hour in the forums).
Thanks for all the advice guys. I've moved up to the Gardens and am killing dolls for now.
