Lulua'line edged away from her family again. It was so easy giving them the slip and going to have some fun. Normally she took one of her sisters with her, but this time they were all busy. Strange how all five of her sisters could be busy at once. No worries, they'd just be sorry later. Her tail lashed about wildly as she started toward a bunch of flowers that she always went to in the woods. They had lived close to a forest, or was it a jungle? She could never tell the difference. At least not know. Maybe when she was old she would be able to? All she knew was there were a lot of trees and plants.

She started to hum a little tune as she got to the flowers. It wasn't really a song, just something that she made up herself. something that she thought was a song but probably didn't sound good to anyone but herself. "hmmmmm mmmmm hmmmm hmmm mmmm" She picked a flower and placed it behind her ear with her paw with another hum to go with it. It wasn't purple, but it'd do. The redness of the flower was very pretty to Lulua'line. Of course, if there had been purple ones, she would have picked those first. They were just too pretty after all.

Bamu was in the habit of following his feet, he wandered where he pleased and napped quite often. It was welcome to be able to sleep when one wished with out hassle from a nosey parent or sibling. Bamu didnt kid himself either, he was a man of leisure. He did what he wanted, when he wanted. Most often what he wanted was sleep, or to lounge in the shade.

That was why today was no different than any other and he was happily enjoying himself up in the the bows of a tree. A noise reached his ears and he gave a mighty yawn and adjusted himself, opening one eye to peer around. Was it some sort of bird come to roost? No... no it was softer than a bird call. His tail flicked quietly from side to side as he peered around for the source.

There below him was a little cub, brightly colored and playing in the flowers. Normally he might have paid her no mind and gone back to sleep, but this time he was awake, at least for the time beging. His intrested momentarily peaked he hopped down, limb by limb to the ground. "Shouldnt you be with your parents?" he asked as he finally got a good look around to notice she was alone.

Lulua'line almost jumped as she heard noises from the tree above her. Then quickly followed by a thump of the ground, and in plain view, a male adult leopard. His voice echoed in her ears for a moment. Pondering the question she stood up straight and shook her head. "nope, They are too busy with my siblings I'm sure." She told him with a smile.

"I'm free to play with these flowers until I find something to bring to my mother." She told the male adult. She was looking for the perfect flower for her mother, though she found an even more perfect one for herself. Which was already behind her ear for the moment. She wasn't afraid of the other, cause he really gave her no reason to be.

She'd never run into someone mean, or scary yet. So she figured everyone and everything was kind and gentle. "Care for a flower?" She asked picking one with one of her paws and offering up to him. He seemed nice enough. Even a little concerned she was on her own. "Mommy always says you should share." She told him with a smile.

Bamu tilted his head as he listened to her explination. If her parents had raised her not to go beyond a certain point even though they where not around then he had no place to question their parenting. Normally when cubs wandered off he had heard tale of most of them never returning so when he saw a cub, more so a cub alone, he tried to make sure that it was returned to its parents.

This cub, did not seem to be in any distress. More she was happily going through the flowers on a quest. Such a silly one, but if it made her happy then so be it. After all, in the eyes of children little things are often the most wonderous.

"Sure." he said as he accsepted the flower from her and gave it a sniff, though the entire area was already saturated with the smell of them. "thank you, and thats a very good lesson your mother has taught you I think. Do you live around here?"

(( Homg your goddess is so gorgeous!))

She nodded to the male. "Not too far from here, actually." She spoke with a smile. It was less then a mile from where they were. And to her, that was no distance at all. "If I'm in trouble I just have to yell, and mommy or daddy will come" She told the male. "I can show you.. MOMMMMMMMM!!!!" She said loudly without really waiting for the male to say yes or no.

Lulua'line never thought things through at all. She didn't think her mother would panic too much from her calling her. It wasn't like she'd get in trouble for being here, so calling her was nothing of a problem in her eyes. Her lovely picked flowers were neatly on the ground in front of her as she looked in the direction her mother might come from. "She'll be here soon!"

Keo was cleaning her self when she heard one of her children cry for her. She knew exactly who it was too. Despite having seven cubs, she knew each one's cry very well. It was her job to know. The moment she heard it, she got to her feet quickly and started to run towards the direction she heard it from. What if her baby was hurt, or worse, getting attacked by someone they didn't know.

Keo always thought the worse of things when it came to them calling her from far away. Though, she normally kept the quite close. She didn't like when they ventured off too far. Though having so many, it was hard to keep them all in one spot really. As she reached where the call came from. She quickly went to her daughter. She seemed fine and unhurt, even had flowers there... Was that the reason she was called?

Though, as the other came into the semi panicked mother's face she glared at him. Not knowing if he was friend or foe. "What do you think your doing?!!" She asked the male rather rudely. Thinking first of her child's safety then being nice to this stranger.

Bamu blinked as the little one yelled for her mother. He hadnt ment for that to happen, and he could see this getting very bad very quickly. He chuckled and fained a smile for the small cub. "ah ha...well thats very good." he tried to keep from frowning but he expected to be pounced by claws and teeth at any moment.

Strangers talking to cubs, and having that cub yell for the near by parent.. no this did not look in his favor at all. He sat back and tried to make himself look non threating. He heard the snapping of twigs and rustling of leaves in the underbrush and there was mom.

"HI there." he said with a big cheesy grin. "Im not doing anything M'am. She was demonstrating to me that she was in no danger to be out here as you where but a call away. " he cleared his throat.

Keo Glared at the male, then at her daughter. She gave a sigh. Not sure who to be angry at. Her daughter or this male in front of her. She flicked her tail rather irritated. Wanting to apologize, but also just sat down. "Lulua'line, you shouldn't cry out like that. You almost gave me a heart attack."

Lulua just grinned. "Mommy, this is my new friend. I was just showing him. It's alright. " She said. Though, she couldn't think of the other's name though, which made her stop talking right then. she flicked her tail happily. "He's nice, isn't he?" She asked her mother, but got no response.

Keo wasn't going to let her guard down. Even if he did seem friendly. But she wasn't going to straight out attack him either. It'd be unfair to him if she just assumed that he was someone trying to hurt her kids. Yet, it'd be foolish to just not at least be ready for anything that might happen.

Bamu gave a small smile as he looked between the two. He could feel the mothers glare on him as the child had no idea she had done anything that could be considered bad. He cleared his throat a little bit and wondered how he could further defuse the situation.

"I heard her playing and I didnt see anyone around. I was consured and she said she was perfectly safe. " he laughed a little and looked down at the little one. "I was foolish for doubting you, and for doubting your mothers ears."

He smiled again hoping that would further break the tension. He could see she relaxed enough not to lash out at him at this moment, but she was wound up as tightly as a viper in a tree and could strike at any moment if he made the wrong move.

Lulua smiled up at her mother who seemed angry, but that didn't take away her smile. "See, he was making sure I was ok. So, I showed him." She flicked her tail back and forth and then smiled at her new friend. He seemed super nice, and she hoped her mother would let her play with him. "So! Can I play with him Mommy? He's really nice!"

Keo looked from the male. "Well thank you." She said. What else was she to say. She didn't think he was lying. Though, she could be wrong too. She wasn't sure what to do, but just stand there. An awkward situation, but it could have gone worse. She could have attacked him when there wasn't a reason to.

She looked to her daughter as the question shot at her. She wasn't sure what to say. But she didn't want to be totally rude either. She eyed the male and then her cub. "Well, I'm sure he wouldn't want you to annoy him with little kid games." She spoke.

Bamu looked from mother to daughter and thought perhaps it was best if he just left for the evening. He smiled to them each in turn. "Its alright, I really should be going. " he looked down at the cub. "Thank you for the offer of playing with me but I really should be on my way. Maybe I will see you again on my way back through and we can play then?" he looked up at Keo with a small smile. "Only if its okay with your mother though."

He stood up and stretched a little bit. "and little kid games dont bother me much, sometimes its a good idea to act like a cub from time to time. Keeps you young at heart." he smiled and nodded to each in turn. "It was really a pleasure to meet you both."

"Awww!! Do you have to?!!!" She said in a very whiny voice. Almost like a child saying the same thing to a parent leaving. She was quite sad her new friend had to go, but that was ok, she'd probably get over it with in a few minutes after not seeing him around. Though, she'd remember again the moment she saw him again.

"You better, I'm looking forward to playing hide'n'seek. " She told him with a smile. Then looked at her mother. "He can can't he. PLEASE!!!" she said with the cutest face she could come up with. She wondered if her mother would take the advice the other seemed to say. She smiled at the other. "Bye bye! Take care!"

Keo was always worried, and had no time to play much. If it wasn't one cub, it was another. Having so many was very difficult for her, but she had help at least. She gave the other a smile. "Only if I know before hand. Don't want the same situation to happen again. " even to Her dislike of her daughter hangling around this adult male, she knew she'd never hear the end of it. She could at least keep a close eye the next time she did run into the male at least.

Bamu smiled and nodded his head at the mother. "Thank you, and I'll be sure to seek you out before hand so we dont give you a fright." he chuckled and leaned down to look at the little one. He pounced down with his front paws and wiggled his tail in the air. "I am the bestest at hide and seek! I look forward to seeing you again. You better find some really good places!" he said with a grin and a wink.

Standing back up he smiled to both and gave a nod before he began to walk away from the two. He wondered if he ever would see them again. The savannah was a very large place after all..still no reason to tell the cub that. Might as well let her mother have a little peace.

Lulua laughed. "I could beat you!" She said with a grin. She thought she could beat anyone. She tells everyone she could beat them. Though, she was slow for a leopard. It didn't stop her though, she always found other ways to avoid the other's paw's when they try to reach out and tag her. She pawed at him as he stood back to his normal height. "bye!" She said.

Keo nodded at the male who seemed rather nice. Almost too nice. It was her way of saying good bye. Probably forever, though if Lulua'line could help it, she'd make sure the two of them met again. She flicked her tail then pushed her daughter with her nose to get her to go back to the den. Lulua'line was always a handful, and always running into many creatures. She was just glad that no one had tried to hurt her yet.
