Zoomono carelessly pranced down the golden beach, her mane and tail flaying merrily behind her. The crisp sea air made her feel alive, joyful, like there was nothing more imporant then filling her belly and playing in the surf. She whickered and spun on her heels, galloping back the way she'd came. It felt so good to run for the sheer pleasure of it! She laughed and vaulted over a peice of drift wood, continuing on in her one horse game.

The small violet and sundrop hued equine rose her small head as short ears pivoted around. The loud noise of the ocean's surf had filled them for the past hour, but something else now crept into them. It was a quick thudding sound and Naira could also feel the vibrations run up her legs.

Taking a few steps, pausing every other second to stare in confusment as her hooves sunk into the mushy ground, and caught a few glimps' of some thing running up ant down the beach.

Oblivious to her onlooker Zoomono continued to run until she started to feel tired, until the sands sprouted grass and dirt. Then she turned around and went back the way she'd gone, following her own tracks. She laughed, and soaring over more driftwood, finally caught sight of the female. She carefully pranced over to her and introduced herself. "Howdy! I'm Zoomono of no herd!" Her warm brown eyes glowed with the sheer pleasure she felt at both meeting a new Equus, as well as playing her games.

The small equus stumbled back a few feet as this Zoomono person trotted over. Never had she seen someone this big, or anything for that matter. Large red eyes glided over the creamy peach color of the other and she lowered her violet and yellow head in some awkward bow gesture. Navy mane flipped over one side of her face and her duo hued horn rested on a small piece of driftwood. "Naira..." she responded with a meek tone.

Zoo blinked then giggle, "No need to be so shy!" She said, nudging the little one gently, "I certainly don't bite!" She back up a bit and preceeded to prance about the young filly. "Would you like to run with me by the sea? It's so much fun!"

Naira raised her head before cocking it to the left in slight confusment. The young unicorn didn't answer right away. Instead she lifted one hoof and the set it down again, as if testing the squishy sand once more. Seeing that this strange ground wasn't going to swallow her up if she moved a little quicker, Naira gave a small nod and proceeded towards the Zoomono.

Zoo whickered in delight as the shy strange one decided that it was okay to play with her. Even though Zoomono was an adult she had never out grown the need to play. Even when she'd been seperated from her herd, she hadn't lost the need. It was as if it had been the one thing driving her on in the bleak time. As it was she pranced down back to the waters edge, and pawed at the ground. A small red crab suddenly popped up and scuttled towards the water. She reared up in surprise then laughed, following the tiny crustation until it dissapeared again.

The waves of salty water rolling up onto the beach lapped at Candar's dark hooves as he stood. The wind blew into his face. Great. He reared up to his full height, which was not alot, considering his size, and then took off. He galloped down the stretch of beach as fast as his stocky legs would carry him. His neck darkened even more as a damp patch of sweat started to appear. The wind whipped his mane and tail out behind him as he race along teh beach. His hooves splashed heartily into the salty seawater as the waves rolled in once again.

This was the joy of the freedom he loved so much. Away from his family. All alone.

The dull thudding of hoves told Zoo that she wasn't alone anymore, no matter the company of the shy bi-corn. She looked up, and neighed in surprise at how fast the other was coming in. She whirled around and moved well out of his galloping range, watching as he came closer and closer.

He didn't quite seem to notice the others. He was having too much fun. His ears pulled back, and his neck bent in his concentration as he flung himself down the length of the beach. The sand tickled at his hooves, as did the salty seawater as it rolled in. He tossed his head as he slowed down slightly, whickering happily.

She watched as the other slowed to a stop before moving slowly over to him. She nudged him before prancing away, as if saying at least watch where you're going! "Hello!"

He blinked his deep brown eyes twice, before directing his glance over to her. Surprise, and a slight twinge of curiosity, registered on his gray features.
"Oh... Um, hey. I thought I was alone..." He admitted, somewhat sheepishly.

"Obviously not." Zoo replied, mirth not quite hidden well in her voice. "I am Zoomono, it is a pleasure to see a few of the denizens that live here." She said bobbing her head. "It's a wonderful day for a run!" She turned in place, wickering almost giddily. "Will you run with us?"

"Um... sure." Candar replied, his voice mixed with confusion and cheer. He loved running, but Zoomono's strange words had him somewhat baffled. Did all of the equus here talk like so? He shrugged, his eyes twinkling. He prided himself in being a swift sprinter, and the length of the beach meant little next to nothing to him. He tossed his head happily. Running was one thing he could not live without.
