It was a perfect autumn day. The sun lay low in the sky, rays still strong enough to take the edge off of the wind that wound through the valley, but not enough to make it unpleasantly warm to be standing without the shelter of trees above.
Standing at the edge of a small lake, Tasnim allowed the water to lap at the bottom of his feet, taking notice of the way the muddy shore gave slightly under his cloven hooves. This world still felt relatively new, given the difference between it and what he remembered from his last awakening. Even the wind felt different. Shaking his head, he inadvertently sent the butterflies who sought refuge amongst the greenery that clung to him spiralling upward, flashes of electric blue forming a delicate, seemingly choreographed dance of color in the otherwise clear sky.
Enjoying the sight, Tasnim chuckled when one of the butterflies landed on his nose, velvety wings tickling lightly at the large equine's nostrils.

Elysium wondered where she was, this new region was so different and she didn't know where she was going. Yawning tiredly, the little mare wandered about aimlessly and noticed a glittering surface in the distance. Smiling softly, Elysium walked towards the surface and noticed it was a lake. Oh... How pretty. She smiled and walked to the edge of the lake; she looked up and closed her eyes letting the sun hit her face. Elysium smiled once more and continued to close her eyes.
She had no cares in the world and she didn't have to worry about anything. This new world would be a new experience for her and she would make new friends and enjoy. She had too much stress on her hands not too long ago but she had quickly learned that she didn't need to worry about anything anymore. Elysium would learn from her past mistakes.
Elysium hadn't even noticed the stallion also standing at the edge of the lake.

Lazily, Tasnim watched as the butterfly rose once again, zig-zagging as it battled with the breeze, gentle gusts pushing the light-weight creature to and fro. When the bright blue wings finally faded from sight, he watched the spot at which they'd last been visible a moment longer, before turning his attention back to his surroundings. Sharp gaze missing very little, he zeroed in on a splash of color that hadn't been there before, a mare, if he weren't mistaken.
She didn't seem to be in any hurry to drink from the lake, he observed, watching for a moment longer before unhurriedly making his way in her direction. His approach was very quiet, the soft earth muffling the slow, steady hoof-beats. As he approached, a gust of wind picked up, the rustle of leaves that the wind prompted sounding somewhat out of place, given the bareness of the trees around them.

Elysium didn't dwell on her thoughts too much. She was a new mare and she just wanted to have fun and meet new soquili. Though, Elysium wasn't sure how to go about meeting others. She was a little social butterfly but she was a little shy to begin with. Opening her eyes, Elysium heard some rustling next to her and then she saw the stallion walking towards her.
"Oh, hello there." She spoke softly, almost musically. Elysium looked at the stallion curiously. He had strange wings and was that green foliage draped over him? He looked relatively safe... but Elysium wasn't too worried. She was sure that she was never going to worry about anything ever again. The little mare noticed the little butterfly and watched it happily. At least butterflies never had anything to worry about.

Continuing until he stood only a few paces away, Tasnim lowered his head slightly in greeting, vibrant aquamarine eyes eyeing her a moment longer before he replied, his own speech a relaxed sort of drawl. "Greetings."
Grinning, he nodded in the butterfly's direction, noting her interest in the small, dainty insect. "They make it look so easy, don't they?" Was that a hint of wistfulness in her expression? Curious, given that she herself looked more than capable of flight, possessing of not one, but two sets of feathered wings.

Smiling softly, Elysium was happy to meet new soquili. All of the soquili in this area seemed so different and she wanted to meet as many as she could. Looking at the butterfly when he spoke, she nodded softly. "Yeah, they do... They have no worries in the world."
She used to carry a burden but no longer. Elysium no longer had to worry about anybody but herself and even though she liked making others happy, it was no longer something she felt obliged to do. "They just seem to have about everything don't they? No worries in the world and beauty too." Laughing musically, Elysium was serious when she spoke about this matter.

Tasnim pondered that for a moment, before shrugging. "I suppose...but then, they're far more at the mercy of external things, like the wind, or even other living creatures." He hesitated a moment, the barest of grins curling the corners of his mouth upward. "Everything in life has a price, it simply becomes a matter of whether the price is worth what's being given."
As if to illustrate his point, he snorted softly, even that small puff of air one of the butterflies spiralling helplessly for a moment.
