Being an island, Lavarin is surrounded by water - lots of water. The ocean seemed an endless blue, stretching for miles all around Lavarin.

In the ocean itself is a complete different world itself. Corals and fish thrive in the shallower waters near the islands, forming a complex yet beautiful aquatic community. A beautiful and save haven for aquatic creatures, young wild rhancodenus are said to have been seen frolicking around the shallower parts of the water just recently.

Further away the seabeds were deeper, and deep trenches can be found. All sorts of queer life form made their home in the trenches. Whether they are dangerous or not, no one knows exactly.

Raver flew along over the seas, diving in and out of the water happily. She was content to play in the water, admiring the fish she could see threw those clear and lovely surfaces of water. She admired the sky she could see far in every derection while crossing the landscape. She dreamed of finding someone out here, someone like herself.
In all this time she though of Blud from time to time, how she missed her friend. They had come across eachother in wondering and became close companions, but after a long year. She had desided it was time to earch out others like her own kind. Surely there must be some of her own kind out there somewhere.

A distance away from the shore of the island, two unlikely friends frolicked about, seemingly having a good time in and out of the water. The larger of the two was an ivorn ridgeback with a magnificent red, black and white pelt. The other was a wild rhancodenus - a young, tanned being with darker brown stripes along its spine.

From time to time the ridgeback could be seen diving in and out of the water - in almost every vertical dives, it would stay submerged for a long time, after which there would be a sudden, loud re-emergence followed by trumpeting laughter from the young rhancodenus.
