Working title, 'cause it sounds cheesy D: lol
Though I like cheese... o.o
I'll put eat chapter in post, so enjoy!
Also note that before we started writing this, it was a comic so we don't have the first few somewhat lines and stuff, but they were just leading up to going to the Anime stand.

Chapter 1
A day at the Mall
Lindsey and Heather walked towards the colorful stand. All sorts of anime accessories, books, figures and DVDs lined the shelves of the stand, drawing their eyes like magnets.
"Awesome!!!!!" Lindsey screamed and examined a giant Sora plushie.
*Heather spotted a necklace and started stared at the diamond necklace she saw before her. It was huge and beautiful.* What's that? *she wondered aloud*
*She looked over and saw the necklace and gasped* That’s so cool! *she exclaimed*
*There were many different kinds of necklaces, but only two had gems encrusted on the front. Lindsey picked one off and looked at it, the necklace giving off a strange warmth in her hand* Wow. It's so beautiful...
*Heather looked at it* Hey it looks like a chaos emerald! *She laughed, her imagination creating something yet again*
*She gasped and put it around her neck* Your right! This is so awesome! *She clutched the necklace and declared,* Chaos control!!!
*Nothing seemed to happen.* Huh... Guess not. Still really cool. Wanna get it?
*Lindsey nodded, turning to the Otaku behind the register.* Excuse me? How much are theses? *The girl looked up at her and hoped over. *Those are 40.00 *Lindsey’s mouth dropped and she quickly closed it, her heart sinking.* 40? *She didn’t have enough*
*Heather's mouth hung open* Geez...! *She took out the money she had. She only had about $25*
*Lindsey looked at her friend and saw she had 25 dollars and she quickly fished out her own wallet. She had 20 dollars and she smiled at heather* Let’s get it! Please?!
*Heather smiled and laughed* yeah!
*So the two girls handed her the money and they bought the necklace together. Heather had it on first* It's so cool! *Lindsey laughed.* What if it actually worked?
That would be awesome! *She said while staring at the gem. Though sadly, she doubt they would ever have that chance. But she wished*
*Suddenly...*
*A blast of wind flew by the girls*
*Lindsey screamed and grabbed onto her friend* What the heck was that?!
I-I don't know! *Just then another blast of wind came back around and surround the two girls until it came to a stop. Heather opened her eyes and gasped at who she saw before her.* S-S-S-S-
SHADOW?!
*Lindsey blinked a few times, her heart racing at the black hedgehog who glared at them.* No way... This isn't possible.... *She just stared at him in shocked silence*
*Shadow glared at them. His eyes falling on the older brown haired female and to her hands where he recognized the bright clear gem. A chaos emerald*
Why is he staring at me...? *Heather whispered with worry to her friend*
*Lindsey shook the thought from her head. This was real.* Um... *she followed his gaze to the necklace around heathers neck and her eyes widened and she stepped in front of her friend* Hey, Shad. Back off. *She knew she was being stupid and would probably get hurt, but it was likely that he was working for Eggman again and she couldn't let them have the chaos emerald*
*Shadow glared* Step aside. *He said coldly to the girl. He didn't want to hurt an innocent, but he needed that emerald.* Just hand over the chaos emerald.
What do we do? *Heather whispered*
*Lindsey shook her head firmly and stood up straighter. There was no mistaking how scared she was right now, but she couldn't show it. She raised her chin in defiance. Man, it was a good thing she knew him well.*
I can't let you do that. You're defiantly not getting your hands on this emerald.
Don't stand in my way, girl. Or you'll live to regret it. *He wanred sharply*
*She took in a breath. He was so much meaner than she remembered. For a second she hesitated, then looked at Heather behind her shoulder and swallowing her butterflies, she whispered* I'll distract him. Run and try to get help, okay? *Lindsey knew she probably wouldn't last long, but if chaos emeralds existed, anything could be possible.*
But Lindsey...
*She gulped and forced a smile* It'll be better in the long run.
... *She nodded at her friend* please be careful... *She turned and ran*
HEY! Get back here! *Shadow called after wanting to go after her but this girl was in her way*
*Lindsey listened to the sound of her retreating footsteps and closed her eyes. There was no turning back. She opened her eyes and starred at Shadow, getting into a fighting position. Thank God for a bit of freestyle boxing sessions* Come one shadow! I'm just a little girl! *she taunted* Come at me. *Man, this is not what I expected to happen when I met him! she thought*
*Shadow stared at her with an "Are you kidding" look. Fight HER?* ... *It appears he didn't have much of a choice. But maybe there was a way to get her out of his way without hurting her too much*
*He ran at her* CHAOS SPEAR* He shot them toward her, to hit an inch in front of her*
*She gasped and jumped to the side and glared at him.* This won't be a fair fight if you use your powers.* she braced herself for what she was going to say next* So, no chaos blast, chaos spear, or chaos control, got it? *She was going to flip out right about then. She was treading on thin ice*
...Fine *He ran, too quickly to see, right behind her and knocked her in her side with his arm*
*She bit back a yelp at hid appearance and rolled with the punch. If this kept up, she would defiantly lose. She needed to think outside the box. She looked around a bit. What were Shadows weaknesses... Maria. Her eyes widened and she dismissed it. That would be to cruel. What else? She looked up at his stony features and a grin came to her lips. This was so strange. All this time she had admired him... She growled, getting up she cracked her knuckles and opened up her mind and hopefully she would land a shot.* Try that again.
As you wish... *And with that he charged at her* *Meanwhile, Heather was running as fast as she could through the mall, dodging past crowds. She was looking back, worried about Lindsey. When she looked forward again, she came to a halt and gasped as she saw someone she was hoping not to run into.* Eggman...
*He scanned the crowd, seeing the small green dot running towards him? He looked up and saw a teen with brown hair starring at him. A grin played under his maustache.* You, little girl, hand over the chaos emerald.
HEY! Who are you calling little?! *She said in annoyance, forgetting for a second that she was talking to an villain* and if you want this emerald, you're gonna have to fight me for it. *...What was she saying?*
*Eggman let out a heave of humorless laughter that echoed in the mall and all heads turned to see him in his spacecraft.* Do you truly wish to challenge me?! *He barked out another laugh.* You've got guts, I'll give you that much, but I'm afraid I'm not looking for a fight today. Just hand it over and no one will get hurt.
*Heather's heart was beating hard with her nerves. She felt small, but kept a brave face as the fat man laughed* ... *She looked down at the emerald, then back up at the doctor* No! *She said bravely. No matter what she would not let him get this Chaos Emerald*
*His fake smile turned into an ugly frown.* Are you sure? I won't ask a again. * Silence greeted him and he didn't let her answer and a huge smile spread across his face.* Very well then! Have it your way!!! *With a push of a button four mechanical arms stretched out and lashed around a bit, making people scream and run away. He broke some shop windows for effect before turning on the girl.* This is going to be too easy! * his arms slammed into the ground, making it tremble in submission and one arms reached towards the emerald around her neck*
*Heather's eyes widened with fear as the arms seemed to explode from his small little ship. She turned and tried to run, but as the arms hit the ground, she lost her balance and fell almost face first. She sat up on her knees and looked back quickly as one of the claws came racing towards her. She gasped and quickly jumped out of the way. Barely avoiding the mecha arm. She grasped the gem protectively, taking it off her neck so she could run better. She grasped it tightly making sure she would not let go and ran in the opposite direction of the evil doctor*
*He growled. She was fast, be he was faster. He sped after her, pushing over benches and causing as much destruction as possible along the way. He pushed his link to Shadows communicator.* Shadow! Report to me immediately! You must get the chaos emerald. * He waited for a response, but none came. He shrugged and turned back to the issue at hand. She couldn't run much longer now.* Give up, girl! It's useless! *He lazily sent another arms after her and he watched it get closer and closer and it grabbed her.* BINGO!!! *His ship wobbled suddenly and tipped over.* WH-HOOOAAA!!! * He thudded to the floor, his ship following suit and his arms fell limp.*
*A blue blur rushed past him and caught the girl before she hit the ground.*
*Heather closed her eyes as she tried her hardest to run faster.* AHHH!!! *She screamed as an arm grabbed her. She should have thought this through better. Suddenly, the robot began to fall over* A-AHH! *She closed her eyes and braced herself. The arm let her go and she went flying. She waited for the pain she would feel colliding with concrete. But before she could, she felt a blast of wind and two arms grab her.* Huh?
*Eggman glared at the blue hedgehog in annoyance. Did he always have to interfere?! He slowly got up, expecting Shadow to arrive at any moment to get rid of this persistent problem. But until then…* Looking for a fight, are you? I’ll be pleased to deliver one right to you, free of charge!!! *3 huge mecha machines came crashing through the ceiling!! (The damage to society! D: ) They charged at Sonic, missals-a-launching.*
*He frowned and dashed to the girl who stood in obvious shock of the whole situation. He grabbed her and started to outrun the heat seeking missiels.* Hold on! * He dodged through some pillars, making some crash and burn. He smirked and realized this would be a bit much for him to handle without some backup. These machines weren’t normal Eggman status.* Tails! Can you get the X-Tornado down here? I need some backup! *he said into the invisible communicator in his wristband. He looked at the teen in his arms and gave her a smile, which he hoped was encouraging.* everything is going to be alright.
*Heather looked at Sonic. She couldn’t believe it. It was really him. Sonic the Hedgehog. She looked him in the eyes as he smiled and told her everything was gonna be alright* O…o-okay. *She stuttered a little, still in a bit of shock.* Thank you.
*His smile widened at her and he laughed a bit.* you’re welcome! * A huge BOOM and warmth right next to him told him that he had almost been blown up. Adjusting his grip on the girl, he stopped running, and then pushed hard up into the air. They crashed through the glass in the ceiling, but surprisingly, neither of them were scratched. They should be safe from Eggman for at least 5 minutes before he figured out where they had gone. He ran around the flat surface of the roof until he was sure Eggman couldn’t track him. He set her down and gave a sigh. She was safe, and the chaos emerald was safe. He just wondered what the extent of the damage was. How many people had been hurt? He hoped none.*
*Heather closed her eyes as they crashed through the ceiling and held on tight to Sonic. When he set her down, she looked at him from where she sat. He had saved her. Sonic had actually saved her. She looked down at the Chaos emerald in her hand.* ‘Lindsey… Please be okay.’ *She thought, worrying about her friend was doing.*

Chapter 2
Join the Team
*Meanwhile, the epic fight of wowness continued between Shadow and Lindsey. Shadow had not even broke a sweat yet but had managed to do some damage to the young girl. Though, admittedly she had landed a few hard hits on him, but nothing he couldn’t handle.* ‘This girl is beginning to dry my patients.’ *He thought*
*Lindsey panted hard, her breath beated wildly against her heart, her blood was roaring in her ears. Damn, he was hard to hit! She couldn’t imagine what it would be like if he used his powers on her. She clutched her stomach and tried to ignore the pain. That last blow nearly knocked her out, but she wasn’t going down. Not yet. She heard static from somewhere and the ground shook. Loud crashes echoed the evidence of a fight and Lindsey’s eyes widened. Was it Eggman? Or the Meterex? No, stupid, the Meterex were defeated. Dummy! She bit back a groan at her stupidity. Then she heard someone mumble nearby and she looked up to find shadow was receiving a message from Eggman, it was now or never. She summoned the remains of her strength and tackled the hedgehog to the ground. She was able to punch him hard twice: Once in the rib and once in the cheek: before he kicked her again in the stomach she cried out and slammed into the window of a shoe store. She clutched her stomach and groaned. It hurt so bad, she thought she was going to hurl. What was she going to do? Tears of regret came down and she didn’t even bother to wipe them off. She felt so betrayed. She thought Shadow was this awesome, hot, mysterious hero who saved humans all the time, not beat them up! She sighed breathlessly and the world started to sway, her vision was doubling and a shadow of a smear was walking away.
She blinked, and forced herself to focus. She couldn’t let him win; she had to stop him… She crawled towards the clearing image of the back of his legs. She had to stop him. Her head throbbed painfully and she clenched her teeth. No way was he hurting her friend! At that thought she got onto her knees and crawled towards him. She grasped his ankle tightly. She was not planning on letting go any time soon.* Hey…* she coughed, a copper taste coming into her mouth* This...isn’t over yet…
*Shadow stopped mid walk and looked down at the girl as she gripped his ankle. He mentally sighed. Why wasn’t she just giving up?* our fight is over. You are in no shape to continue and I have no intentions of hurting you further. But I will if I have to. *He said, not looking her in the eye. Something about her stubborn persistence made him think of a strength he had seen before.*
*She coughed and tried to tighten her grip on his ankle for emphasis.* You won’t… * she stopped and shut her eyes. The pain was getting to her. Her eyes watered and she opened them again and looked up at him, almost pleading, but there was a coldness in her eyes.* You won’t…win. You never will. *She felt like she was betraying herself by saying this. Some Shadow fan she turned out to be. * Sonic won’t let you. I know. The good guys always win. *What was she saying? It made no sense, and it was probably going to do nothing for her current status. She felt sad for him.* What happened to you, Shadow?* she asked, even though she already knew the answer.*
*Shadow looked down at her, a small bit of surprise in his eyes* …You don’t know me. Why do you even care? *He said, a bit of wonder in his voice. He noticed there was something a bit sad in her voice. Why?* …I do what I must. This time, not even that blue hedgehog will stop me. *He said, his voice returning to its cold nature. He looked back down at her. He grabbed her arm, the one clutching his ankle, and pulled her up and looked at her face to face. Something about her spirit…* I don’t understand… Why are you still trying to stop me even though you could end up being killed?
*Her stomach dropped further and further with each word he said. Why did she care? I don’t know you? Her heart thudded softer: She was regaining control over her body, though she was still weak. She found herself starring into his eyes and she couldn’t help it- she blushed. Wow, she thought, and then she shook her head. This was no time for this! ARGH!! Stupid fangirlish side! You choose the worst time to pop up! Hello, it was your turn to say something!* Because…* she trailed off before finding a perfect answer. *Friends only last so long. You have to cherish every moment…* she smiled at him, despite his puzzlement. * You have them for so long until they…* she stopped. Was this really the right thing to saty to him? Besides, who would know that feeling better than him, so he should understand why she protected her friends so much.* Until something bad happens to them. And I don’t want that happen!* she said, gaining more strength in her voice.* My friends are so special to me… and they’re the only ones I have. That’s why I protect them, with my all. * she stared at him and before she could stop herself, she added* You would know that better than anyone.
*Shadow had this look in his eye that seemed like a small child learning something new. Or someone remembering something faint but not catching it. There was a pause as he thought. Friends… Maria… He closed her eyes as he remembered all he could about her. He looked back into her eyes, his own back to the way they were.* … *He pushed her aside. Not hard though. She might have just slid an inch on the ground. He turned and walked away.* …No harm will come to your friend. All I want is the emerald. *He stopped a moment* If that doesn’t satisfy you. Do you want my word? That I will not at all harm your friend in any way in my attempts to get the emerald?
*Lindsey blinked at him before a huge smile came across her face. Now she remembered. This is why she liked him so much. She didn’t quiet want to call out on his word, so she nodded. She took a deep breath.* That would be… so great. *Gosh, she needed some major self control not to glomp him, or at last hug him. She put her hands behind her back and watched him walk away. She just smiled, despite the burses, despite that he was still going after the emerald…* Wait!* she called to him. *What exactly do you want to do with the emerald? * Plus, she needed to find Heater as well, but she doubted that he would take her with him. A dramatic picture of him holding her close as he ran came into her mind and she giggled before she scoffed. Again with the dreaming! Get into the swing of real life here, Lindsey!*
*He stopped again.*…. *He turned around and looked towards once again.* …That’s a secret, only I must deal with. *He said, holding his index figure in front of him, as if telling someone to keep quiet. Though he did not smile, it seemed serious yet somewhat trusting. He then turned again and skated off*
*Lindsey crossed her arms over her chest and smirked at the disappearing dot. What could it be this time? Did doctor Eggman tell him that he could bring Maria back again if he brought him all the emeralds or something? She glared at nothing. If that was the case, then she would so deal with Eggman... Somehow… Only when she was sure shadow was gone did her knees buckle and she fell to the ground on her knees. The pin came rushing back and she groaned. Man, this was bitter-sweet. She had just had a moment with her favorite hero of all time, and she had only paid for it by lots of bruises and pain all over. Her stomach growled and groaned and she gulped. She needed to find Heather. Where could she be? She ran off in that direction, but where could she have gone?*
*Back on the roof, Heather remained sitting in the same place Sonic had placed her. Staring at the bright green emerald. Sonic in the meantime was keeping a look out for Tails and the X-Tornado. No luck yet.* …
*Heather’s thoughts seemed lost in the gem. Questions, wonders, and worries. Like, why and how did Sonic and the other get here? Was is some weird Chaos Control Incident? Why was there an actual emerald at the anime stand? Was Lindsey alright? Why did she ever leave her to fight alone? She gripped the emerald tighter*
*Lindsey needed to find Heather and warn them about Shadow. Sure, he had promised not to hurt Heather, but he never said anything about Sonic. She was pretty sure he was here since that huge explosion could only be caused by Eggman’s missiles and she was sure that he wouldn’t actually shot to kill heather, but it was different for Sonic. She walked down the mall to where she found that section where there were a whole bunch of supporter beams and there were explosion marks on them. They had gone this way, but where were they now? She looked around and saw a pile of shattered glass: From above, unblocked sunlight shined through the shattered glass. They were on the roof. How was she going to get up there? A loud clank of metal crashing against metal came behind her and before she knew what was happening, she was being lifted into the air and something was constricting around her abused midsection. Why, why in the exact same spot?! She thought before she slipped into a dark abyliss.*
Eggman flew upward, crashing through the remaining glass and he was quickly able to track the chaos emerald.* Just up ahead…* He flew around and then saw the two. They seemed to be waiting for something. Probably for me! He thought as he made his way forward.*
Sonic stiffened and instantly jumped in front of the girl and he faced Eggman. *What do you want Eggman? Back for another butt whooping?* Sonic taunted. Eggman shook his head and folded his legs in a very un-Eggman like manner that made Sonics hairs stand on end.*
No. I’m not here to fight. Just merely here to make a bargain.*He chuckled*
*Sonic glared at him but he crossed his arms and relaxed a bit.* What kind?
*Eggman made a wild gesture with his left hand.* You give me the chaos emerald~
*Sonic cut across him* Which won’t happen, but I’m still listening.
*Eggman growled bit a paused for an effect before he continued where he left off. *You give me the chaos emerald and your friend gets to live.
*Sonic instantly sprang into a fighting position. He toke a hostage? One of his mechanical arms stretched out to reveal an unconscious human girl. He growled. This was not good.*
*Heather’s eyes widened in fright and shock* LINDSEY!!! *She exclaimed, jumping to her feet. Within the robot’s metal claw was her friend. She looked badly beaten, and tired.* What did you do to her?! *She yelled at the doctor in scared anger. How did he even get her? Did he know she was her friend? Did Shadow do this and brought her to Eggman? No matter the reason, the teen was NOT happy and she could feel her heart pound in nervous fright*
*Sonic glanced at the teen, then to the other teen in Eggman’s clutches. Lindsey huh? He sighed. *C’mon Eggman. We all know this is going to end the same way. With me winning and you losing!
*Eggman raised an eyebrow. *Don’t be so sure! What will it be? The chaos emerald or the girl?
*Sonic frowned. He wasn’t even going to let him fight for it? This was a problem. On one hand, he couldn’t let him have the emerald, for who knows what he’s going to do with it, and on the other hand, he could never sit by and let an innocent be hurt for his affairs. There was only one thing he could do. He turned around to the teen and held out his hand. *We don’t have any other choice.* he said bitterly. He gave her a weak smile. *Besides, we’ll get him again.
*Heather clutched the emerald while closing her eyes. There had to be another way. There just had to! She has to save Lindsey, but… If Eggman got his hands on the emerald…* I don’t trust Eggman… He probably won’t even let her go. *She looked at Sonic.* and if he gets this emerald, he will only be stronger. We may stand less of a chance next time. *She looked back at Eggman, putting on a brave face again.* …I’ll see your deal, Eggman. But only if you can agree to MY terms. *He looked confused* First, you need to put down Lindsey, then… *She turned and threw the emerald* GO CATCH!!!
*Eggman gasped.* Foolish girl!* He grabbed for the emerald, but it was just out of reach. Suddenly, the fragile balance of his machine went haywire and he spun upside down. He lost all control over the ship and he fell down to the asphalt and he hit a circuit breaker that jolted him with a 50 watt load of power. And he was sent flying*
*Sonic gasped as well. What had she done? He looked over at her and glared at her then looked back to find that the way he had stood up in his ship made the balance go nuts and he went spinning. His arms went wild, smacking the emerald back towards him and tossing the girl in the air. He grabbed the emerald and tossed it to the teen.* Catch!* and he jumped up and caught Lindsey in his arms. He landed safely on the roof and gave the other teen a grateful look.* That was a great plan.* he laughed. *We sure got him! Hey, what did you say your name was?
*Heather had caught the emerald and was relieved to see Sonic catch Lindsey.* I can’t believe that actually worked…! *She said to herself. She looked at Sonic as he spoke to her. She smiled* I’m Heather! *She smiled brighter* Nice to meet you Sonic. And thank you.
*Sonic nodded at her.* Heather. Nice name.* he said and shifted an unconscious Lindsey over his shoulder. Lindsey twinged slightly and mumbled. Sonic glanced at her and she twitched.* Hey. I think your friend is awake.* He moved Lindsey so she was sitting on the roof.*
*She slowly came too and she blinked in the bright daylight. Man, she had the worst headache ever. Then it came back to her. She looked around and saw Sonic. Good. She knew he was going to be here. But, she needed to find Heather. A short twitch of her head gave her the answer. Lindsey gasped and sprang up and hugged her long lost friend.*Heather! I’m so glad to see you! Are you okay? *She stepped back to look at her friend. She seemed to be alright and her stomach throbbed. She doubled over and clutched her stomach groaning. She bit out a weak laugh.* I’ll tell you one thing. Shadow’s much harder to fight in real life…* Then she remembered.* Heather, Sonic! Shadow is coming to get the emerald! We have to leave or something…* She fell short of words and her throat went dry… Speak of the devil.*
*Heather turned around to see the dark hedgehog standing on the edge of the building, glaring at them. He had witnessed everything.* That was a clever trick you pulled on the doctor *He said, looking at Heather* But such trick will not work on me. *He said and quickly skating over in front of the girl so fast she didn’t notice. Heather jumped as the hedgehog came to a stop in front of her.* Hand over the emerald *He said, holding out his hand. He could easily take it from her, even with Sonic there. But he had given his word to the other girl, which he watched in the corner of his eye, that he would not harm her.*
*Lindsey felt mixed emotions as he came forward to snatch the emerald. She sucked in a breath and wished that there was some way they could all live in peace. They had to leave, right then, right now. She looked at Sonic who was going to step in front of Heather, but she poked his arm.* We should go. Please? There’s really no other option here.* Sonic thought about it for a moment, before nodding. She was right. There was no good end to this. He dashed forwards and grabbed Heather, then followed by Lindsey who held back a cry of protest.* Sorry Shadow, but we’ll have to continue this later. * And with that, he jumped backwards off the building. Lindsey’s stomach did a super flip. On rollercoasters, she was strapped in, but this was different completely. As soon as they touched down, he dashed off, out of Shadows reach in no time at all. Lindsey could do nothing but close her eyes and hope she wouldn’t throw up.*
*Heather had been caught by surprise as the blue hedgehog had grabbed her and went dashing off. She closed her eyes hid her face in her hands, a bit scared. She was not use to going fast. There were even many coasters she was afraid of due to speed.*
*Sonic smiled into the rushing wind that vibrated off his quills. It gave that familiar hum that he always listened to when he ran this fast. He just needed to rendezvous with Tails so they could get back to Blue Typhoon. After he dropped these girls off somewhere. He stopped abruptly and set them down.* Okay, are either of you guys hurt?* he ignored the groan from Lindsey and he nodded.* Great. Now, we need the emerald, so if you wouldn’t mind…* he held out his hand to Heather expectantly.*
*Heather looked down at the emerald around her neck. Once Sonic got the emerald, he would leave. But… Honestly, she wanted to spend more time with him. This was their chance for an adventure.* …n…No. *She said clutching the emerald.*
*Sonic rolled his eyes and he smiled at her.* I promise I won’t use it to try and dominate the world or anything like that.* He held out his hand to her still.*
It’s not that. It’s just, uh… *She thought a moment.* We… *She looked at Lindsey* We… Bought it! *…Was that the best she could come up with?!* Yeah. We both paid for this, so that makes it legally ours. That’s the way our world works. So, if you want it, we’ll have to go with you.
*Sonics mouth dropped and for a second, he said nothing. Then he smiled at her and he laughed. He shook his head and started to walk away, mumbling about legal rights on this planet.*
*Lindsey gave Sonic a weary look, and then she looked back at Heather before shrugging and following Sonic. Normally, she would’ve joined Heather in saying it was legally theirs, but she didn’t fell all that great. And an adventure sounds amazing, but not when you’ve been beaten up by your hero. She sighed gently, and wondered when she would see him again and if they would have to fight again.*
*Heather blinked as there was a small short silence. Gosh she felt so STUPID right now. What kind of excuse is that anyway? When Sonic walked away, Heather looked at Lindsey and followed them both, mentally slapping herself for her idiocity.*
*Sonic looked back over his shoulder at the two girls. His eyes met with Heathers and he starred for a short bit before he smirked at her. He laced his hands behind his head as h walked.* You guys can take it easy for now. My friend Tails will be here to pick us up any minute.* a loud swooshing sound came from overhead and the tree swayed in the sudden burst of air.* Any second.* Sonic corrected.*
*The X-Tornado landed in a dirt patch that was clear of all the weeds and Joshua Trees before the rumble of its engine died down a bit. The cockpit seats opened up and Tails came out. * Hey guy! Sorry I’m late. I ran into a couple of Eggman’s mechs on the ways here…
*Sonic cut across him.* Don’t sweat it buddy. This is Heather and Lindsey. They are the newest member s our team! Since they bought the chaos emerald, it is legally theirs…* Sonic said, looking at Heather, mocking her.*
*Tails snickered behind his hand.* You can’t beat that logic! Alright, all aboard! The sooner we take off the better! We don’t want Eggman tailing us any more then he already is.
*As they walked, Heather looked at the Chaos Emerald around her neck for a moment. It seemed to shine in the sunlight. When she looked ahead again, she saw Sonic starring at her. She blushed a light bit when their eyes met, wondering why he was looking at her. Then she saw him smirk. Now she knew. He was just making fun of her now. When they saw Tails she smiled a bit. Tails looked so cute with his two tails flicking about. She was about to greet him after Sonic introduced them, but her eyes fell on Sonic as he told Tails her little excuse of why they had to come along. She did a small face palm to herself, trying to hide her blush of embarassment.* Yeah, yeah, very funny… *She muttered and walked over to the X-Tornado.*
*Sonic smirked as he jumped into the seat of the X-Tornado.*
*Tails looked at the girls and smiled.* My name is Miles Prower. But you guys can call me Tails for short. Have either of you ever been flying? *He asked politely.*
Lindsey shook her head no.* Not unless you count free falling roller coasters…
*Tails gestured to the X-Tornado that would easily fit four.* All you need to do is sit down, strap in and enjoy the ride! *He said before flying into the cockpit.*
*Sonic closed his eyes after getting into his seat and leaned back while the girls struggled to find a way to get into the plane.*
Hey, Sonic, go help ‘em! *came Tails’ voice.*
*Sonic opened his eyes and he looked over at the girls and he nodded. He jumped down and got them in the back seat while he took the co-pilot seat. He buckled in and put the communicator on his head.*
*Lindsey found a communicator next to her and she put it on as well before she buckled down, getting ready for the ride.*
Three… *The engines powered on and the plane shook…* Two… *The trees around them swayed at the air rushing from the engines…* One… *A loud screeching noise came from the plane and-* Blastoff!! *They jerked and swooped into the air at a surprising speed.*
*Lindsey closed her eyes and then the momentum stopped and everything went quiet. She felt herself getting sleepy…*
*Heather looked out the window at all the buildings below. This was amazing! She looked ahead towards Sonic and Tails’ seats that were separately covered by glass. No one was talking in the communicators, so she decided to take hers off. She looked down at the city below but this time let her head rest against the seat. She smiled, the feeling of excitement filling her. She closed her eyes, just resting, but not asleep. She just wanted to rest her eyes for the possibly long flight.*

Chapter 3
The Blue Typhoon
*Tails sped at a steady pace through the stars. They were almost at the Blue Typhoon. According to his scanner, it was only about 20 millimeters away from their current position. Everyone was so quiet, he guessed they were asleep.*
*Sonic starred out into space quietly, letting his mind wander from thought to thought. So Eggman was back. That’s no surprise. When was the last time they fought him? And how did the chaos emeralds always seem to wind up in the strangest places… When he scattered them, there was no telling where they could go. He wondered what would it be like to be a chaos emerald? Everyone always fighting over you, as you go flying through the planets, choosing some random place to stop. A static sound came from his ear. It was Tails.*
Blue Typhoon in bound. Closing distance.
*Sonic gave him a simple*Okay.* in response. He looked out the window and found the huge ship was taking up most of his view. It wasn’t long until they had touched down safely in the Blur Typhoons dock. The X-Tornado’s doors opened with a hydraulic hiss. He jumped out of the seat and stretched. He really didn’t like being cooped up like that for so long He needed to take a run around the ship. He was about to run to the door, but Tails stopped him.*
Aren’t you forgetting something?
*Sonic blinked and Tails pointed with his thumb behind him at the two sleeping girls. Sonics eyes slid half way and he gave a sigh.* Alright, fine.
Just take ‘em to the spare bedroom, okay?
*Sonic growled.* Yeah, alright.* He stopped and turned angrily towards Tails.* Hey!! Why can’t you help?!
*Tails looked over his shoulder at him with a smile *I have to go and pilot the ship! I’m sure Knuckles is tired of sitting behind the wheel, doing nothing.
*Sonic glared at his back and he stuck his tongue out at him.* Fine! Whatever! *With that he turned towards the matter at hand. He jumped next to Heathers seat first and he grabbed her, trying his best not to wake her up. He started to walk away, carrying her bridal style down the dock.*
*Heather twitched a little as she felt herself beginning to wake up. She opened her eyes and looked up to see Sonic. At first she just stared at him sleepily, then she mentally freaked out* ‘S-SONIC?! It wasn’t a dream! He’s real!’ *She then realized that he was carrying her. She blushed lightly* W-Whoa! Hey, hey, hey! W-Where are we going? What’s going on? *Her voice burst in startled confusion. Why was he carrying her? To where?*
*Sonic blinked at her loud voice and he cringed.* Hey, take it easy! I’m just taking you to the spare bedroom, okay? Unless you’d rather walk? *He smiled at her and winked.*
*Heather blinked and looked down in embarrassment.* I-I, eh-well, U-uh, mmgn… *She just stuttered. Why was it when he looked at her like that she felt foolish and embarrassed.* I-I can walk. I’ve troubled you enough already.
*Sonic’s smile widened and he shrugged.* Alright, have it your way! *He set her down onto her feet, then turned away.* The spare bedroom is out of the dock, into the tech chambers, down the hall to the left and follow all the blue tiles until you reach a big computer room. Then, turn around and go right towards the hallways, turn left, then right and right one more time and that should be where the bedroom is. *He looked over his shoulder at with a smirk.* You got all that?
…*Heather’s mouth hung open as her head spun trying to even remember the first direction he said.* ………………….Huh?
*Sonic turned towards her and patter her Arm.* That-a-girl! I’ll see you on deck later! *He left her there, mouth open. He needed to get the other girl to the medic room. She didn’t look too good. Eggman wasn’t usually one to beat up people like this. He sighed and he brought the unconscious girl in his arms and started to leave the dock. He gave one last look over his shoulder at her before going through the sliding door. It was going to be so much fun to mess with her, he could tell. She was almost as fun to mess with as Knuckles! He smirked to himself.*
*After Sonic left her shoulders fell and she had a “WTF what just happened face”.* Why do people like to mess with my head? *She sighed. her upper body bending slightly over in an anime-ish way.* Oh, I’ll get you back Sonic… *She walked through a sliding door and began to find her way through the huge ship*
*Meanwhile, Sonic aid the unconscious teen on one of the many clean white beds they had in the medic ward. He looked at Tails as he typed in some things on the keyboard and a little camera came from the ceiling to a body scan of her. It shone a bright red light across her and it only took about 30 seconds until it was done.*
She’s got bruises all over, but it’s nothing to serious. Some food and rest and she should recover in time. *He glanced up at the girl as she moved from unconsciousness to sleep. * She’ll be fine, but I think we should have someone watch her. Where did Vector go?
*Sonic shrugged and then looked longingly at the ward door.* Can I go now?
*Tails rolled his eyes.* Yeah, yeah. Go on. Just don’t float out into space~ *Sonic rushed out of the door. Tails chuckled at Sonics enthusiasm before Tails took a microphone in his hand and announced a message throughout the ship.* Vector, if you just so happened to be out there, please come to the Medic Ward immediately. *Tails set it down and looked at the girl for a moment before going to leave. No doubt Knuckles was going to crash the ship if he didn’t get on deck.*

Chapter 4
Chaotix Confusion
Great…. Just great... I’m lost! *Heather sighed as she continued down the maze of halls and rooms. Only about 5 minutes had gone by and she was lost. Heck she was lost as soon as she stepped through the sliding door.* Where is everyone? *She randomly wondered. She could use some sense of direction. She sighed again and sat down by the wall.*
*Little did she know she wasn’t the only one walking down these halls. A red echidna, Knuckles, was on his way back to the deck. He had his arms crossed while mumbling under his breath about how tired he was of driving the dang ship. Especially after he found out he wasn’t driving it.* …. *He stopped as he noticed someone sitting the hall.* Who’s that? *He wondered. He had never him before.* An intruder… *he ran down the hall towards him, which was actually a she named Heather.* HEY!! YOU!! *Heather looked up to see an angry red creature charging towards her* What are you doing here?! Intruder! *Heather’s eyes widened. It looked like Knux was in a bad mood. And she knew what to do when he was. RUN! She jumped to her feet and ran down the hall away from him* HEY! GET BACK HERE!!
AHH! WHAT DID I DO?! *She yelled back towards him as she kept running but he didn’t seem to pay attention. She ran as fast as she could managed to keep some distance. She couldn’t run forever though. She quickly opened a sliding door and jumped it as it closed behind her. She breathed hard, catching her breath* …Th...That was close…
YOU CAN’T HIDE!! *Knux yelled as he seemed to be nearing the room.*
*Heather began to panic. She had to hide. She looked around the plane room and saw a closet. She pushed the button that opened it but something she didn’t expect happened. A crocodile and a chameleon fell out of the closet face first, making Heather jump in surprise and fall backwards* AHH!
*Vector groaned and Espio hissed as he pushed himself off the floor.* What hapend?! *Vectors loud voice boomed.*
*Espio glared at his idiotic friend.* Last I remember, you dragged me in here and told me that you didn’t want to drive the ship…
*Vector smiled.*Oh yeah! Wasn’t that Knuckles job? And you didn’t have to do anything for the whole ride!
*Espio stood up and dusted off his shoulder.* Yes, but I’m not sure if it was worth being stuck in there with you. For two hours!
*Vector rubbed the back off his head.* How was I supposed to know you can only open the closet from the outside?
*Espio sighed, and then he blinked. He shot a glance around and found a brown haired teen looking up at him. He crossed his arms over is chest and he glared at her.* Who are you?
*Heather blinked while staring at the two with large eyes. It was the Chaotix! Well, minus Charmy it seems. When Epsio glared at her, she froze a little. They weren’t going to accuse her of being an intruder too, were they?* I-I’m Heather… *She said a little nervously.* ….You’re not gonna chase me too, are you? *She asked, though they probably didn’t know what she meant by that. Or they may just ignore the question.*
*Espio’s eyes narrowed. What was a human girl doing out here? A huge crash came from his left and he dodged out of the way to avoid knuckles spiked fist. After the dust cleared, he stared at the echidna leveley.* Knuckles, what is the meaning of this?
*Knuckles shot a quick look at Espio before setting his sights on the human.* I found an intruder! *He said pointing an accusing figure at Heather.*
*The teen quickly rose to her feet and ran behind Epsio and Vector, wanting to hide from Knuckles.* I’m not an intruder you psycho! I was just trying to find my way to a room!
*Espio glanced at her.* What room? *Espio glanced over his shoulder at the girl, and then back towards the enraged echidna.* Well, how about this. Why don’t you try talking instead of jumping to conclusions? *He closed his eyes and let out a small sigh. Sometimes Knuckles was so rash... He turned on his heel to face the human.* Why don’t you tell us. What are you doing here exactly?
*Heather looked at Espio and paused a moment before nodding after making sure Knuckles wasn't just going to jump at her.* I came here with Sonic, Tails, and my friend Lindsey. Sonic had saved us from Eggman and Shadow. *She explained a bit, summing it up*
*Espio blinked and his head went to one side.* Sonic brought you here...? How curious... *He starred the girl down, wondering what had possessed that blue hedgehog to bring her along. Perhaps she had proven to be a worthy advocate or something...* I don't believe I ever caught your name. *He said, much more politely than before.* My name is Espio. That is Knuckles and this is my good friend, Vector.
*The huge crocodile gave her sharp smile.* How do you do! *he boomed.
*Heather felt a little less nervous now. Looked at Vector as he greeted her as well and smiled a little bit nervously from his sharp teeth but knew they were nice.* I'm Heather. *She told them*
*Espio nodded appritatively*
*Vector snatched Heathers hand and shook it, thus shaking her whole arm.* It's a pleasure to meet you, Heather!
*Espio smiled a bit and his friend’s chivalry, He had been telling him to behave more, but he wasn't sure if breaking someone’s arms in a death grip handshake was better than no hand shake.*
*Once Vector let go he gave a bigger smile.* so, where is your other friend? *He asked. He always loved to make new friends. Then again, he heard his name being called over the intercom.* Vector, report to the Medic Ward! *It stopped and Vector waited.* NOW!!! *Vector jumped and covered his ears.* Alright, alright! *He left through the whole Knuckles had created and down towards the medic ward. Epsio wondered briefly why he was being called there.*
T-t-t-t-t-t-tha-a-anks-s-s *Heather said as Vector shook her about. Once he stopped she watched as he left and looked at Knuckles as he glared at her and left* What's his problem? *She wondered aloud*
*Epsio glanced at his retreating back.* Don't worry about him. He's always like that. *He turned back to her and there was an awkward silence...* ....... *He nodded his head at her finally.* Well, If you don't need anything else, I should be going now...*
*Heather looked at Espio* W-Wait! *She stopped him* Um... Could you maybe help me find my way around here? Please? *She asked in a bit of small embarrassed voice*
*Espio blinked a bit before he gave her a small smile.* Sure. Where did you need to go?
Well, I.... *She thought a moment. She should go to the spare bedrooms, but then she wouldn't find her way back. She remembered Sonic saying he would see her at the dock later* Could you help me find my way to the dock?
*Epsio nodded.* I was planning on going there myself. Just follow me. *With that he turned and walked down the hall.*
*She smiled and followed the chameleon down the halls.*

Chapter 5
Never Take Foreign Medicine
*Lindsey felt awareness of where she was slowly edge into her mind. She was awake, but kept her eyes closed. She was sore all over and man did her stomach hurt. She slowly opened her eyes- everything was in double vision and it took a minute to clear and when it did she saw a huge green face looking over her. She screamed so loudly, the only scream she had left in her and her arms shot out in reflex. Her hands impacted with scaly skin and she retracted with another shrill cry. EW! Like a snake!*
HEY!! Calm down! Take it easy!!
*Lindsey gulped and tried to calm her pounding heart. She starred at the green monster and saw him rubbing a spot above his eye. There was an awkward silence and she suddenly remembered where she was. She smacked her head and groaned.* I’m sorry… *She cringed, a sore pain on her arm. Man, why did she always fly off the handle?*
Nah, don’t worry about it. *His voice boomed.* I’m alright; it’s YOU I’m worried about. *She nodded.* I’m alright, just really sore…
*As Espio led Heather down the many halls of the ship, a loud sound came echoing, being carried on air conditioned, um… air.* Wait, I know that scream… *She came to a stopped and looked down one of the halls.* Lindsey! *She said in alarm and began to run down that hall, following the scream as she heard another shrill.*
*Lindsey starred at Vector with amusement.* I never thought I’d meet you!
*Vector turned his head to one side.* Me? *he asked, pointing at himself.* Are you sure that you’re talking about me? Not some other big alligator guy?
*Lindsey shook her head.* Positive, Vector! Unless you’re not Vector from the Chaotix, are you?
*Vector nodded.* Yep! That’s me! You’ve heard about the Chaotix?
*She smiled at him.* Absolutely! Who wouldn’t have? I mean, you guys are soooo cool! Are the others here?
*Vector answered.* Only Espio, and Knuckles is here too. Charmy wanted to stay behind.
*Espio was there?* Awesome! I can’t wait to meet them! *she said, and she felt a new motivation to get up. She tugged off the covers and just then Heather and Espio busted through the door, making her jump.*
*Heather was hunched over a little, catching her breath, Espio just standing next to her not even out of breath. Heather wasn’t really used to running.* L-Lindsey…! Are you okay? *She asked between breaths* W-we heard a scream.
*She looked up at them and gave Heather a big smile.* HEATHER!!! I was wondering where you were! *She jumped off the bed and jumped onto her feet. A sharp pang went through her feet and she cringed. BLAH! She felt light headed for a moment and the room was spinning. Vector put a hand on her shoulder to steady her and she gave him a smile. Then she looked back to Heather and she glomped her.* FRIEND!! *She laughed at heather usual reaction to her fly tackles which induced heathers back saying hello to the floor.(LOL)*
Oof! *She breathed as she hit the floor from Lindsey’s glomp of doom.* H-Hi Lindsey…! *She said with a small chuckle of breath. When they stood up, Heather rubbed the back of her head, having hit it a little on impact with the floor.* I see you’re feeling better. *She smiled at Lindsey. She was glad, but she still seemed pretty hurt.*
*She dusted herself off and put her hands on her hips with a crocked smile.* What did you expect? You thought that I would let SHADOW beat me? YEAH RIGHT! That’s a good laugh.* she laughed then.* No way. It was the complete opposite actually! See, he came at me and used chaos spear and I rolled out of the way and then BAM I punched him in the gut! He tried to get, but I grabbed him, and pulled him back.* She gloated.*
*Vector laughed and smacked her back hard.* Wow! Who’d a thunk it? Good job!!
*Lindsey’s eyes widened and she groaned, rubbing her shoulder.* Eh heh…
…Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. *Heather said with a bit of a sly like smile, amused by Lindsey’s story. Though she believed that she did have a hard fight with Shadow. Speaking of hedgehogs…* Hey, you wouldn’t happen to know where, Sonic, is would you? *She asked, saying his name with a ‘not amused’ kind of way.*
*Lindsey shook her head no.* I haven’t seen him since… I fell asleep on the plane. Why?* she asked, a sudden grin coming. She held back a giggle and she blushed. * AWWW! Heather! Not again!!! *LOL. She laughed and then noticed Espio standing there.* Aw sweet!* she said, pointing at him.*Espio! It’s so cool to meet you! You rock!!!
What again??! *She asked confused, but the way Lindsey said it made her blush a bit. What was she implying? Then suddenly Lindsey lost interest in the subject and turned it to Espio. Heather mentally sighed and crossed her arms, wanting to find that hedgehog and get him back for the little trick he pulled.*
*Espio blinked at the other girl’s, Lindsey’s outburst.* …She knows us? *He questioned simply, looking at Vector confused.*
*Vector closed his eyes a shrugged.* For a detective, you sure do state the obvious, Espio…
* Lindsey flailed her arms and continued to rant.* This is just so fregin crazy!! All you guys are here! Are stuff! We’re gonna have cool adventures, and-* she abruptly turned towards Vector.* Can I hug you?*She spread her arms and gave him her best shiny eyes.*
*Vector just starred at her for a moment, not sure what to say. Then he laughed and ruffled her hair.* Um, I’ll have to pass on that.*he chuckled at her enthusiasm. What made them so popular?*
Aw, are you sure?* she asked him. Then she stepped a bit closer, smiling.* They’re Freeeeeeeee!!!.....
*Heather basically face-palmed herself to Lindsey’s… um… fangirl-ism. Yeah that works. Though Heather could not deny the same feeling when she saw Sonic, only she was too shy to actually make that outburst.* I don’t know this girl. *She said, pointing at her friend in a joking manner.*
*Vector laughed again. These humans were just too funny.* I never thought I had a fanclub!
*Heather’s eyelids dropped.* You don’t.
*Vector pointed at an overmedicated Lindsey.* She thinks so!
*Lindsey squealed.* I wonder who else from the Sonic gang is here? Knuckles, and Amy, and Cream, and Miles-chan and Sonic and Bokkun and Dr. Eggman and Rouge and, and, and… and…* she trialed off…* Um… Yeah, I think that’s everyone…* she said with satisfaction. Vector just stared. Did she know absolutely everyone in his related world?*
You forgot: Big, and Charmy, and of course, Shadow. *She finished off. There were a lot more characters, but they were the main ones.*
*Espio stared at the girls in utter surprise. How did they know about them and their friends? Had Sonic told them? Or was it something different? He found it a bit suspicious, but he couldn’t really bring himself to find these girls untrustworthy.*
*Lindsey gasped and clasped her cheeks in surprise.* Omigosh, you’re right!! Your right! How could I forget about Shadow?! *She said with a whine.*
*Heather grew a bit of mischievous smile* I don’t know. Especially since you have a… well you know. Some feelings for the hedgehog. *She said in teasing tone to her friend. She found it a small chance of revenge against all of those accusions she use to make of her and Sonic.*
*Lindsey’s eyes widened and she blushed. Then, she quickly countered with* YEAH well, what about your FEELING for Sonic? Hmm?* she stuck her tongue at Heather. Then she crossed her arms. Besides, he beat me up!!! I’m not even sure…* she sighed. *That’s just not how I planned the first meeting… BLECH!!!! And he beat me up too! That big Meany!* She frowned, then turned to Vector, opening her arms again.* I could really use that hug now…* she said sadly.*
*Heather blushed extremely at Lindsey’s counter.* W-well, I… *She frowned* You bet I have feelings! Feelings of wanting to bop him on the head! *She huffed. She didn’t find it all that funny with how Sonic’s been messing with her head. She crossed her arms again and looked a little to the side, a bit facing away from the others not wanting them to see the very light bit of blush that was still there.*
*Despite Vectors half hearted protest, she hugged him hard. She warmed up immediately. Once she stepped back she was smiling again.* So, are we all gonna go to the deck?*she asked cheerily.*
*Vector grinned and nodded.* Alright, let’s go. Are you feeling well enough to walk?
*Lindsey gave him an “are-you-kidding” kind of look.* No, Vector. I’m a complete and total cripple and I can’t walk anywhere, which is why I’m standing right now.* she rolled her eyes and headed towards the door, but she stopped when she reached Espio. She smiled at him.* Hey, I just noticed somethun about u.
* Espio gave her an inquisitive look.* You... *she said seriously.*Have…* There was a long pause.*
What?* he asked.*
You have… NO NOSE!!! *she laughed crazily before grabbing Heather’s arm and running out of the room.* LETS GO!!!
Wait! Lindsey! *Heather said, nearly falling from Lindsey nearly dragging her backwards.* We don’t know where the deck is!
*Well, if we get lost, then…Um…* she stopped and waited for Espio and Vector to join them outside. She pointed at them.* YOU! Lead us! Make HASTE! We MUST reach the deck before… before BAD THINGS HAPPEN!!!
*Vector was almost laughing on the floor. He held the wall for support and he wheezed.* Es-Espio. Go- ha ha, go lead them! Make … pfft… HASTE! BAH HA HA HA HAAAAA!!!!
*Espio said nothing but had half closed eyes of un-amsement as he began to walk ahead of the girls. “Leading” them.*
Ha ha ha ha. Very funny. *Heather rolled her eyes seeing Vector laugh at them yet again. She couldn’t blame him, for she was holding in her own laughter, but wasn’t in much of an expressive mood for some reason right now.* Lindsey? *She looked at her friend.* Did the medicine make you high? *She asked plainly*
*Lindsey tilted her head and her eye twitched.* What medicine? *She laughed. *Hey, hey Espio! I have a really, really, REALLY funny joke to tell you. Heather sighed shaking her head at her friend’s silliness glad to see she was feeling better… in a sense. But while she was stopped there for a sec Vector bummed into her making her stumble forwards almost falling. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately*

Chapter 6
Suspicions and Hyperness
*~Fast-forward to the deck, everyone!~*
*Finally, they went through a sliding door and then they were on the deck. Lindsey bounded in front of Espio and ohhhh-ed. * Heather! Heath, look at how many stars there are!!! *She pointed at them, trying to count, but it was a stupid thing to try. She looked around at the empty seats.* Hey, would any of you guys mind if I* she started to walk over* went and sat in that chair? *she jumped over the bar and flopped into the chair and she found herself in someone’s lap. She looked to her left and saw a familiar red enchilada.*
*Knux had been snoozing in his seat on the deck, having nothing better to do. Suddenly something and jumped into his lap, making him jolt awake.* Zzz-HUH?! *He looked at the girl in his lap and yelled in confusion* HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?
*Lindsey smiled at his yelling and she almost felt like crying. She wrapped her arms around him and cuddled him.* KNUCKLES! Oh my Gosh! This is so coooooooolllll!!!!* She did a fangirlish scream and tightened her grip on him.* Ohhhhhhh my gooooooooodddddddd……You’re so awesome and strong and fast and gullible and cute and hard-headed and stuff!* she let go of him, but then took his gloved hand, starring at the spikes in wonder.* Aw, tightness You really have those spikes on your gloves! It must really hurt when you punch someone, huh?* she laughed.* I remember this one episode when you took those robot fools and beat um up against each other like a bat with a baseball!!! That was the best!!!
*Knuckles just sat there with a huge “WTF?!” Face. Who was this girl?!*
Hey Knuckle-Head! *Heather greeted the red-head, resting on the edge wall around his seat.*
*Startled, he shot a look at her and pointed with his free hand* YOU!
ME! *Heather replied*
What are you doing here?!
We’re passengers. *Heather said simply*
Yep yep yep!! Lindsey laughed, than saw something. She screamed.* OMG! IS THAT SERIOUSLY IT?!?!?!?!? *She starred at Knuckles in wonder, then a smile came and she poked his button. (AKA the white upside down crescent moon on his chest).* IT’s the BUTTON!!! *she poked it, repeatedly, squealing each time.*
HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THAT’S NOT A “BUTTON”! STOP IT! *Knuckles shouted trying to get her to stop poking him.*
*While all that was going on, Heather’s mind got distracted by the fast space past the glass. She walked a bit ahead of the large area and put her hands to the large glass bubble that surrounded them, her eyes huge with amazement at actually being in space.* Wow…
*Lindsey only laughed at his yelling and she cuddled him.* AWWW! *she knew it would only make him mad, much to her amusement, she laughed. Messing with him was so much more fun in real life!*
*Heather kind of wondered who was piloting this huge ship. Was Tails back up there? She turned around and looked up to the tallest seat which must be the captain’s seat and she saw the yellow/orange fox staring out into space as he controlled the turn of the wheel. Pushing some buttons now and then. Heather smiled and waved* Hey there Tails!
*Tails blinked and looked down and waved a bit.* Hey! I see you finally found your way here. Sonic confused you, didn’t he?* he sounded a bit sympathetic, but he was laughing.*
*Heather eyelids dropped half way* Yes… *She said in a dry tone. She shook her head, not wanting to talk about it much* Speaking of Sonic, any idea where he is?
*Just at that very moment, a blue streak broke the darkness of endless black across the bow of the Blue Typhoon.* There he… was.* Tails said, pointing behind her.* I think he’ll be in here in a bit…* he shrugged.*
*Heather had blinked watching as Sonic passed by. Even in space he was fast without the gravity to possibly hold him down.* Right… *She looked back towards Knuckles and Lindsey. Lindsey who was laughing like a maniac and Knux yelling like one, Heather looked back at the yellow fox* What kind of medicine do you guys use again?
*Tails thought a moment.* Well, I just used standard medicines, like Earnidiine, Flotuxine, and basic healing herbs like Oden Floarben. But what’s standard for us, may have some* he glanced at Lindsey* odd... side-effects…* He smiled nervously.* Eh heh… I had no idea that she would react like that. It should where off in about 28 hours.* He smiled. *No worries! I’m sure she’ll be fine by morning.
*Heather smiled and laughed a bit* Greaat. Well if that’s the case then I should warn you that Lindsey might try to tackle you for a hug.
*Somehow, with amazing super power speed, Lindsey, as if on cue, tackled Tails.* MILES-CHAN!!!! *She laughed and twirled around.* You’re so fluffy!!! Awww!!! *She twirled again*
*Tails struggled against her. He cried out desperately,* Heather! Help me!!!!
Uh… *Heather smiled nervous* S-Sorry Tails! You don’t know how Lindsey is when she’s like this. Almost nothing can stop her!
*Lindsey stopped and set Tails down. She held her head and sat down on the floor.* Whoa. That was weird… *Once again the world was spinning. She suddenly fell backwards onto the ground, dead asleep.*
*Tails starred at her and slowly scratched behind his ear.* Hm. Didn’t see that coming… *He went back into his chair and put it on auto pilot. They didn’t have much to do, other than hang out and wait for them to pick up a new emerald signal.*
*Heather laughed a bit from Lindsey’s sudden passing out. Very random event. She smiled and looked back out the window at the passing stars. This felt almost too good to be true to be here. On the outside of the ship she saw Sonic pass by again at high speed only leave a blue streak showing he was there.*
*Sonic snuck up behind the girl, and he tapped her on the shoulder, then he jumped behind Tails and watched her spin around confused. He snickered and waited for her to turn back around before going up and tapping her again, this time just ducking down so she wouldn’t see him. Alright, he decided he would stop.* How did you find your way around?* he asked.* I gave you directions to the spare bedrooms, and you wind up on the deck? Hmm!
*Heather had gotten herself a little dizzy spinning around trying to see who tapped her shoulder. When Sonic ended up being behind her, she frowned a bit at his words. He was teasing her again.* … *She stared at him a moment with a normal look, then suddenly bopped him on the head. Not hard though but it still felt good to finely knock him one for that trick.* I didn’t find it very funny… *She muttered crossing her arms and turning away from the hedgehog.*
*Sonic winced and rubbed his forehead.* Ow…* he wined.* That hurt. *He blinked and felt a bit bad. Had he really upset her? Hey, he wasn’t perfect.* Sorry if I made you mad. *he said.* If you’re seriously getting THAT huffy over a little joke, I won’t do them to you ever again. How’s that sound?
*She sighed, a bit offended that he said she was being “Huffy” but let it go* It’s not that exactly. A lot of people do that to me. *actually, almost everyone she knew* And I’m one with a good sense of humor and all and can laugh about it, but not if it ends up with me getting nearly run down by a crazy red thing. *She said pointing with her thumb over her shoulder at Knuckles who was dizzy from being poked by Lindsey* And… *She paused. Not sure how to word her last thought, but it was something she didn’t want to share because well, it didn’t really make sense to the situation.* Never mind… Do what you want. Just... don’t do it to me all the time, okay? *She said a in a bit of a lighter tone.*
*Sonic nodded.* I understand completely. I won’t bug you like that all the time. Just most the time.
*Her head dropped but she laughed* Great.
*Sonic smiled at her.* So… DO you really need help finding the spare bedroom? *he asked, a tone of mischief in his voice.*
*Heather looked at Sonic. By the tone in his voice, it sounded like he would pull something again.* …Maybe… *She said carefully. Not sure what the hedgehog was planning or thinking.*
*He gave her a thumbs up.* I’ll take you to ‘em if you’d like. That is, if you’re still tired… Because there’s not much to do around here except sleep… and eat…* he scratched his chin in thought.*
*Heather smiled at him at his offer to help her find the rooms.* I’d like that. *She said in a thankful, light tone. Putting her hands behind her back. She was really tired. Lucky Lindsey has had chances to mostly sleep while all she really had was the plane ride.*
*Sonic nodded and gestured for her to follow him. He led her down some halls and along some corridors and it took a long while until they finally reached the bedrooms. But before he left he, he said,* so, tell me heather. What makes you so prone on coming out here to join us?
*Heather paused a moment and felt all means of speech practically leave her.* Oh… Well, I, uh… *How could she explain it? That she was a fan and wanted a chance to be able to travel with her heroes? No she would sound stupid to him.* Um… W-Well, one of the reasons was because of what Eggman did. He attacked my friend and people in my world. A-and I know what he can do. I-I just… *she thought a moment, wondering how much she could get away with telling him without having to tell everything. If only she was better at hiding things.* I, uh… I guess I feel a little responsible. I mean, they were looking for the emerald. And I had it and I should have been smarter with it and maybe led Eggman to a place where he wouldn’t have done so much damage. I-I guess I want to help stop him from doing that to anywhere else. Especially if he’s in THIS universe. *She wasn’t lying but not telling everything. But hopefully enough to satisfy his curiosity for now. No matter how bad she told it.*
*Sonic nodded, seeming satisfied with her answer.* That’s true. He’s got this freak obsession with taking over the universe and making it and Eggman Empire or something like that *he rolled his eyes.* When you wake up, just follow the signs, okay? Tails and I will put them up so you guys won’t get confused* then he added with a smirk* anymore…
*Heather opened her mouth to retort to his last remark, but shook her head and smiled a bit.* Thanks… *She instead said, before turning and walking over to the bed. She could feel her exhaustion catch up with her as she lied down and almost instantly fell asleep.*
*Sonic dashed back to the deck and found Knuckles waking up from some dizzying ordeal.* Hey, Knux, what’s the matter?
*Knux shook his head quickly, trying to gather his thoughts back.* Some weird, psycho girl jumped on me and kept poking my chest. *He said recalling the event* I guess she hit me so hard and hit a nerve. *He growled a bit annoyed.* And not just that but earlier I had seen another kid walking around the halls. *Though she had also seen her with Lindsey* She said you brought ‘em here? *He felt completely in the dark*
*Sonic nodded.* Yeah. Technically, the chaos emerald we got from Earth belongs to them, so they insisted they come along, or the chaos emerald stays with them.* he shrugged.* Hardly a price to pay, I’d say.
What? That’s why they’re here because they claimed to own a chaos emerald? *He stood up and looked at Sonic* We can’t just let kids randomly come along. It’s too dangerous! You should have just taken the emerald and left weather they liked it or not! *He said, almost seriously. He didn’t really like the idea of strangers, especially children who couldn’t understand what they were getting into, joining them*
*Sonic shrugged.* They had a receipt. Isn’t that proof enough for yah?* he starred at Knuckles who glared at him.* Hey, common, Knuckles! After all, we couldn’t just leave them there for Eggman, could we? That girl… Lindsey is seriously hurt.* he glanced around.* And I’m guessing that that is the one that ‘attacked’ you, right?
*Tails voice came from over head.* It was so funny! She just jumped on him and woke him up, then started poking him and saying ‘button!’!! It’s was hilarious!! *he broke into a fit of laughter.*
*Knuckles shot a glare at the fox* Hey, don’t talk to me about funny, fox boy. You were the one being spun around like a ragdoll!
*Tails puffed up.* So what?! It seemed like she sure did know a lot about you, Mr. Baseball beater!* he shot back.*
Oh yeah! What about YOU “MILES-CHAN”?! She didn’t even ask you your name! …She didn’t ask my name either. And how did she know about the basketball game?! *Knux wondered rubbing his head*
*Tails stopped abruptly and scratched behind his ear.* Uh… That’s a god question… The names I can understand, but the baseball game? *He pondered in silence.*
*Lindsey blinked and groaned. She felt worse than the first time she woke up. She sat up and found herself on the deck. Oh yeah. She smiled. NOW she remembered, she had finally gotten to push Knuckles button. She laughed a bit. All eyes turned to her and she froze.* …Hi guys…Why are you starring at me like that? ......Stop! It’s creepy!!!
HEY YOU! *Knux shouted pointing at the teen* WE WANT SOME ANSWERS!
*Lindsey whimpered.* Neeeeehhhhh…. Knuckles-chan, don’t be meaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!
I don’t know what this “chan” is but answer my question!
*Lindsey tilted her head.* Exactly what question? I don’t think you asked one…
The Baseball game! How did you know about it?!
*Lindsey opened her mouth, then closed it, then opened it again,* Ahhhhh……* she starred at him and slowly smiled. Maybe if he acted crazy, they would leave her alone. Had she really blabbed something like that?* Ummmm… I don’t know what you’re talking about. A baseball game like the Yankees vs. the dodgers?
NO! I mean the baseball game you kept blabbering about when you were poking me! About how I knocked off a robot by hitting it with a bat.
*Lindsey covered her mouth in shock.* You did what?! *Knowing how gullible Knuckles was…* You really knocked out a robot with a bat? Impressive…
*Knuckles growled under his breath. Either this girl had been delirious at the time when she said those things or she’s hiding the fact she knows. Either way he didn’t want to deal with it* Forget it! *He said, stomping off through the sliding doors out of the deck*
*She had to bite her tongue not to yell out, SUCCESS!!! As he stormed away. She hoped he wasn’t too mad at her… She looked around a bit before getting up and stretching.* Mmm! That was a good nap! Except my back kinda hurts now…* she rubbed her lower back before yelling* Oh, joy! More pain for me! Whoopee…* She groaned and looked over at Tails in fascination.* Oi, Miles-chan, do you fly this ship 24/7? *Tails nodded and Lindsey ohh-ed.* Well, I think you’re a great pilot!* she said.*
*Tails looked over at her, confused by the random compliment, but he smiled and said,* Thanks!
*Lindsey did a fangirl squeal on the inside and she just smiled.* Yup. Hey, should I go to the spare bedrooms, or the Medic Ward again?
*Tails shrugged.* The medic ward is there if you ever feel bad, but other than that, I recommend the spare bedrooms.
*She said, Cool, before trotting down the stairs to Sonic.* Can you take me there, Sonic?* He nodded and led her there. When they got there, Sonic said goodnight to her, but she just flopped onto the bed to the right and mumbled something.*

 Chapter 7
Never Try to Outsmart a Hedgehog
*~fast forward to 4:00am~*
*Heather’s eyes fluttered open as she woke from her slumber. She normally would never wake up so early or at all at time, but something in her dreams must have startled her awake. Plus she felt a bit cold since she had fallen asleep without pulling out the blanket. She looked around, almost forgetting where she was. Until she remembered the events of the day before.* mmm… *She rubbed her eyes, not really wanting to fall back asleep, or rather felt a bit afraid to from the dream of what she could remember. But would it be alright to walk around at this hour? She stood out of bed and walked out of her room, looking up and down the halls. No one was around. To be expected of course. Quietly, she began to walk down the hall.*
*Sonic sat back with his feet up on the chair. He listened to the snores of his sleeping friend. He was glad he was finally able to get Tails to take a break from driving the ship. Autopilot was easier than he expected it to be. He just had to make sure that there were no malfunctions in case of an emergency situation. But for now, he just sat, relaxed, and starred out at the endless mounds of stars that were impossible to count. Everything was so peaceful, it was a wonder how Tails ever stayed awake when he drove.*
*One of the sliding doors to the deck opened with a silent hum as the brown hair girl walked in. She only stopped in front of the door and looked out at all the stars. She really was in space. Everything seemed so still out here. She was unaware of the two little heroes who were sitting in that room already. She walked into the room a little more, just looking ahead and looking at everything. It just seemed so amazing.*
*Sonic’s ear twitched in reason to the gentle sound of the door opening. Someone was up? He saw the brown haired girl, Heather walk out and stare at all the stars. What else was there to do around here anyways?* Nice view, Huh? *he said quietly.*
*Heather had jumped a little, startled from hearing a voice break the silence. She turned and looked up at where the blue hedgehog was sitting.* Oh… Hi Sonic. Sorry, I didn’t know anyone else was up here. *She hoped she didn’t wake him if he was asleep.*
*Sonic grunted.* I forced Tails to get some sleep. He’s always staying up and doing things. He just needs a break sometimes...* he put his hands behind his head and he gave her a small smile.* I guess we all do.
Heh… Yeah. *She said, laughing a little. It almost felt like the day had gone on forever; yet so fast with all that had happened. She turned back around and looked out into space again. It almost reminded her of something else she was a fan of.* Have you gotten any rest? *She asked the hedgehog look back at him again. Last she had seen him he had been awake. Has he been up all night trying to get Tails to at least sleep?*
*Sonic smiled at her and chuckled.* I’ll be fine.* He hrugged.* A guys gotta do what a guys gotta do!
*Heather tilted her head and put her arms akimbo while looking at him a bit of a concern in her eyes.* Maybe, but you also did a lot today. *She said, remembering how he had defended her against Eggman. Who knows what he was doing before hand? He might not have even slept for more than one day.* Shouldn’t you try to get some sleep?
*Sonic gave a dismissive geasture.* Nah. I can always sleep later. I’m not that tired anyways…
*Heather sighed. She sometimes use to wonder if Sonic ever slept enough. He was always doing so much. But she didn’t pry on the subject more. She sat on the ground and faced the window, letting herself just relaxes a bit to stare at the stars.* …I never knew there could be so many. *She said randomly. Where she lived you could not always see them clearly.*
*Sonic chuckled at her random fact.* Yeah, here are sometimes stars in space…* he looked at her back.* What about you? The beds not comfy enough for ya? I didn’t take you to be a picky one…
*She looked up at him and frowned a bit; crossing her arms and closing her eyes,* I never said anything like that, did I? *She wasn’t angry or annoyed, just was going along if Sonic was messing with her again. Or showing how stubborn she could be in a way.* I just had a weird dream, that’s all.
*Sonic didn’t keep on the subject. Je just closed his eyes and relaxed. There was never anything to do on deck, unless they had spotted a chaos emerald. It was usually quiet.*
*There seemed to be a long silence, no one speaking. Heather felt it a bit awkward in a way. She opened her mouth, trying to think of a conversation, but nothing really came to mind. She rested her chin on her arms which rested on her knees.* …Sonic? Do you know if… if Stars are actually different worlds? *Another random question it seemed.*
*Sonic considered her question.* I wouldn’t really know… It’s possible, but I wouldn’t go so far to say that… but if it were true, then we’ve got a lot more exploring to do than this!
*She nodded slowly, as if her mind were also elsewhere* Do you BELIEVE they are?
*Sonic closed his eyes, then paused.* Yeah, I do. Think of all the exciting places, all the creatures out there…* he opened his eyes and looked out at the stars.* Imagine if human had never met Mobians, and if Mobians had never met the Meterex…* he trailed off, lost in thought.* There are a lot of things out there that haven’t been found. But you’d never know about it your whole life and you wouldn’t be any wiser!* he paused and chuckled.* I’m not sure where I’m going with this…Eh heh…* he scratched his head awkwardly.*
I know what you mean… *She said a bit quietly. Those were things she was hoping he would say.* … * It seems this meant many of her theories were true. Sonic was here after all. She stood up and walked up the way to where Sonic sat. She stopped right next to him and stared at him a moment. An expression that seemed of only curiosity.* …Sonic, why did you let me and Lindsey come along? *She seemed to have many out of the blue subject changing questions*
*He shrugged.* I thought it would be… fun to finally get some new friends.
…Friends? *She felt a little wowed that Sonic thought of them as friends already, even though so far they might have just bugged them. And what did it really have to do with letting them coming along?* …Do you really think of us as friends?
*Sonic gave her a big smile and nodded positively.* Not until you prove to be an enemy!* he said. Why did she doubt that?*
*Heather tilted her head a little. As if fascinated by his answers to any question she asked. She just… couldn’t help but feel amazed that Sonic actually thought of her as a friend. Something she always hoped for.* …
*Sonic tilted his head at her, confused.* What? *Why was she just staring at him? He shifted in the seat and he slowly started to glare a her.* Stop starring at me, girlie!
*Heather smiled* Touché, aren’t we? *She laughed a little. Her eyes never left him though.* … *She then leaned over and pulled the hedgehog into a small hug.* Thanks, Sonic.
*Sonic blinked and blushed lightly. He patted her head with a small smile.* Hey. * He looked at her with a smug smile, even though he was confused.* You’re welcome, Heather. *He winked at her and flicked her nose.* Isn’t it past your bedtime?
*She blinked and put her hand to her nose, blushing a bit at first. Then she gave him an “Oh Yeah?” look, putting her hands on her hips.* If it is, then it’s WAAAAAAAAY past yours, kid. Maybe you are unaware that I am older then you? *That felt weird to say but felt fun at the same time.*
*Sonic frowned at her.* Older you might be, but whose the stronger one here? *He grinned smugly and pointed at himself.* Sorry, kiddo. That would be my position to fill. Plus, do YOU want to stay up all night flying a ship? I didn’t think so.* he said matter-of-factly.* And since I’m in charge, I say that all Blue Typhoon staff, except for me, go and get rest. So, adios, before I kick you into space!
*She frowned a bit. Strength wasn’t fair play. Plus hearing him call her “kiddo” felt kind of weird. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes when he said he was flying the ship. She could see it was on autopilot. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow when Sonic said he was in charge and everything after those words. She couldn’t help but laugh. Mostly finding it funny.* Since when were you in charge? Last I heard Tails was the captain of the ship. *She turned away, her arms still crossed as she added,* Besides, you can’t make me go back, or make me sleep! *She sounded like a stubborn child refusing to go to bed, in a matter of speaking. But she was holding in a smile of laughter, finding it funny that she was arguing with Sonic about rest.*
*Sonic chuckled, but not in a good way* I’m sorry, did you just say that I couldn’t MAKE you? *he laughed again and stood up from the chair.* C’mon now. Don’t make me do this, Heather…
*Heather looked back at him, confused. What did he mean?* …Do what…? *She asked slowly, almost afraid to find out.*
*Sonic grinned cockily.* Glad you asked. *With that he came up behind her and took her in his arms and he ran as fast as he could through the Blue Typhoon, at the speed of light and it only took 2 seconds before he stopped in front of the spare bedrooms. He looked down at Heather with a satisfied smirk on his face. The door slid open and he pushed her inside.* That’s what I’d do.
*Surprisingly, Heather had not expected that. That just wasn’t fair play! She almost stumbled inside when he pushed her before she turned around and glared at him* Sonic! *She slightly stomped her foot, like a “how rude” kind of gesture* That still won’t make me sleep. And I could just walk out again!
*Sonic made a pfft sound.* Yeah, so? You really wanna go again, than step right up! I’m up for running…* he said evilly. (LOL Sonic’s being a bully!!! XD)*
*Heather just frowned, her mouth slightly open.* You--! And--! Just--! AGH! *She couldn’t word a sentence* That’s just unfair!
*Sonic gave her a smirk.* Heather, remind me why age matters? *He laughed a bit. He thought it was cute how she argued a pointless topic. He smiled at her sweetly.* You have two choices here, kiddo. You can either stay here and sleep, or you can admit I’m right and then you can do whatever you want.
’Right about what?’ *She wondered confused, probably forgetting if he had mentioned something, but shook her head.* Whatever. I still don’t have to sleep. Even if I’m in here I’ll just stand here. *She said, crossing her arms and turning her back to him, stubbornly. If she stood around, she wouldn’t get sleepy.*
*Sonic shook his head and sighed.* Heather, Heather, Heather… * He ran his hand over his quills.* Don’t be so unreasonable. I did you the courtesy of walking you back to your room, and you didn’t even say thank you!! Well, I guess I can forgive you for that, but that gives you no excuse to go over-board and not sleep. So, you stay here and sleep, I will be on deck if you need me. *With that, he gave her a small wave and said,* Sweet dreams! *Before running off.*
*Heather stood there, mouth wide open, speechless. The only words that went through her mind were “Oh no he didn’t!”* Why that… Egotistic… Little blue… ARGH! *She couldn’t believe he just did that!* You know what? Just to annoy him, I’ll keep going back! *She said out loud to herself, walking out the door*
*Sonic put up his feet and lay back. Maybe he would take up on her advice and sleep after all. The gentle hum of the engine lulled him into a blankness, but he jolted at the suddenly loud sound of the sliding door being slid open. He looked down and growled. She was back.* Are you trying to make me mad, girlie? *He stood up and crossed his arms with a small smile.* Or did you come back to apologize?
*She frowned in dislike of his attitude. Was HE the one just trying to make HER mad? She came back to do something alright.* … *They seemed to have a small stare off for a few seconds, Sonic’s smug look remaining plastered on his face. The girl, having had her hands behind her back the whole time since she came in, suddenly threw a small square pillow at Sonic. Due to her annoyed frustration, she threw that thing hard*
*Sonic had to admit, he was surprised she’d gone so far to hit him. The pillow impacted with his face and he fell back and tripped over the seat and landed with an “oof!” on the floor. He felt annoyance stab as he removed the pillow from his face, and he was going to be mad, but decided against it. Instead he put the pillow behind his head and he closed his eyes.* Wow, thanks! How did you know I wanted a pillow? Is this your way of saying you’re sorry? Well then, I completely accept. *He looked at her out of one eye and smiled.*
…*She only continued to frown. She should of known he’d act like he was okay with It.* Then how about you sleep, and I stay up? *She was trying to flip it around, ignoring the other thing he had said.*
*Sonic considered it for a minute.* Really? *He sat up and looked at her, but she wasn’t smiling.* Could you handle that? It’s a pretty hard job, considering you’ve got nothing to do, AT ALL and it’s very easy to fall asleep.* He smiled at her.* That’s very…Nice of you, Heather. You’re being so much nicer than you were about 5 minutes ago. I’m thinking something’s up…
You were the one making me yell. *She muttered looking at the ground.* And its nothing more than how I spent every day at home. *She usually did nothing* You’d be surprised at how I can occupy myself.
*Sonic felt like he wanted to ask about it, but shrugged it off.* Alright, if you really want to. All you do is sit there and watch out for anything unusual, like a flashing light, okay? Then you can wake either me or Tails up.*He said. He jumped down to one of the seats and put the pillow behind his head and he was asleep in a minute.*
*Heather watched as the hedgehog fell asleep in an instant.* And he thought I needed rest? *She walked up to the seat he had been sitting in before and looked at all the controls inside. Mostly a radar. She sat in the seat and watched it a moment. She doubt anything would come up. There was nothing, not even a planet for miles. She looked up at all the stars and simply began to daydream.*

Chapter 8
Lindsey’s Couple Fantasy
*~FAST FORWARD TO THE MORNING IN 9:00!!!~*
*Lindsey woke up in the dark. She tried to move, but found it impossible. She sighed and starred up at the ceiling. She didn’t feel like getting up yet… She looked around and she rocked up onto her feet. But what else did she have to do? The world spun for a second and she closed her eyes. Blech. She got up to fast. Once that subsided, she walked out into the lights of the hallway. She stretched and followed handy signs that pointed the way to places. They weren’t there before, were they? She followed the arrows to the kitchen and she made herself comfortable making eggs and toast with OJ. Once she ate, she went to the deck. Everyone else was up already. She went over to an unoccupied chair, making sure that there was no Knuckles in the chair, before jumping over the railing and flopping into the seat. She out her feet up and crossed her arms. She sighed softly.* Good morning everyone. * She smiled over her shoulder up to where Tails was supposed to be and she gasped as she noticed her friend close by It.* Heather?! What are you doing?
*Heather slowly looked at her friend* Hey Lindsey. *She said plainly before looking back at the controls.* I switched with Sonic to watch the radar while he got some sleep.
*Lindsey said,* Oh. Gotcha… Are you really flying the ship? Or is it just on Auto?
Auto. *She answered simply* I wouldn’t know how to turn it off anyway. *She shrugged.* I’m just waiting for Tails to get back to know if it’s alright for me to leave this spot.
*Lindsey nodded and looked around. She saw Vector starring at her and she gave him a smile.* Good morning, Vector.
*He had a confused expression on hi face.* Uh… Are you just a completely different person than yesterday, or is that just me?
*Lindsey laughed and blushed.* Yeah, um, that was just the medicine getting to me. I’m not like that all the time…Why? *she asked, with a big grin.* Don’t tell me you miss the hyper me?
*Vector shook his head and out his hands out in front of him, like he was fending her off him.* No! No! It’s not like that!!
*Lindsey laughed.*
*Heather smiled, a bit drowsy. She looked down where Sonic was still asleep in his chair and smiled towards him, glad he took some advice and got some sleep. Her annoying him probably made him more tired. She heard the sliding door open again and saw Tails walking in stretching.* Hi there Tails. *She greeted*
Hi there, Heather.* He flew up to the chair and stood next to her.* Thank you for watching over the ship, but I can take it from here.
*Heather smiled and nodded* Okay. *She got out of the chair and walked down towards the lower chairs. She was feeling really tired from the night watch, she didn’t even pay attention to where she was about to sit. She sat on the wall railing of where Sonic was sleeping in the chair, and her eyes just seemed to close on their own and she fell backwards into the seat on Sonic’s lap. Almost instantly asleep*
*Sonic jolted awake at the girl that fell on him. He blinked and realized he was asleep. She must’ve really stayed up all night like she said. He smiled at her, but that didn’t stop it from being awkward. He poked her.* Hey. Heather. Wake up.* he whispered.*
*She closed her eyes tighter and shifted a little, feeling a small tickle vibe from him poking her. She turned slightly, making her head rest on his chest.* ...noooo… *She grumbled in a low voice as she was half awake. Not at all aware of where she was now laying or anything.*
*Sonic starred at her, not sure what to do. He tried not to pay much attention to her and just let her sleep since he kind of owed it to her since she took his shift. But it proved to be a bit hard since there had never been a situation like this before… He felt himself get drowsy. She was like a blanket in a weird way; having her there made him feel warm. He closed his eyes and soon, he too was fast asleep.*
*Lindsey sighed and looked around, her eyes landing on Heather and Sonic. Her eyes widened and she gasped. No way!!! With a small squeal, she jumped up and ran from the deck out into the hall, where she ran smack into Knuckles. He looked annoyed at her and she smiled at him.* Knuckles! Heather and Sonic are sleeping together!!!* She yelled.* IT’S SO FREKIN CUTEEEEE!!!!!!! *She laughed and did a little gig.* I soooo knew that this was going to happen!! They have destines carved in stone, Knuckles!* she smiled at him and repeated it, loudly.* CARVED IN STONE!!!!
…………………………………………………………Huh? *The red echidna looked at her in confusion. Not understanding what she was talking about.*
*She rolled her eyes at him, sensing his feelings of confusion. Well, when she ranted like that, no one could really understand her.* I’ll show you.*she took him by the hand and led him onto the deck. Once they were o in the middle of the deck, she turned his head for him towards the sleeping pair.* SEE?!?!?!?!??!
*Knux blinked staring with wide eyes at Sonic and the girl napping together.* …I don’t believe it… *He said in amazement*
*Lindsey folded her arms and hurumphed.* Yeah, it is weird, huh? *Why would Sonic and Heather get together so fast? It had only been a day. She smiled evilly. Man, did she have some great fuel for fun when Heather woke up.*
*Suddenly Vector burst out* I never thought I’d see the day! This is my big chance! There’s no way I can possibly fail! I mean, look Espio! They’re already so deep into a relationship, they barely need my help!!! Maybe it’s because I’m here that they got together! I must have the magic touch!* Vector declared proudly.*
*Lindsey turned to him.* You didn’t even do anything!
*Vector smiled.* Exactly!
*Lindsey looked at him with confusion.*
*Espio’s eyelids were half closed with the dreaded feeling of Da-ja-vu* All I see was an over exhausted girl who couldn’t make it to the room and passed out in the wrong spot. *He said in an annoyed voice.*
*Lindsey jumped, and then turned to glare at him. * Hey. You have no idea what you’re talking about, okay? Don’t go nosing around in other people’s business!* she said angrily.* And the only reason I’m aloud to is because… *she out her hand over her heart in salute* I own all rights to SonHeath!!!
*Vector blinked and said,* What?
…Why am I always surrounded by these kinds of people…? *Espio grumbled in a low sigh as he walked out of the deck, not wanting to be involved.*
*Lindsey frowned at him.* KILL JOY!!!! *She stuck her tongue out at the door. Then she turned back t the matter at hand.* Awww… If I only had a sketch book…
*Tails laughed and covererd his mouth.*
*Lindsey looked up at him confused.* What?
*He laughed more and he held his sides.* You-You mean you would….pffftt…DRAW them together?! *he burst out in laughter.*
*Lindsey frowned at him.* Why is that so strange? I do it a lot! *she quickly caught herself.* Drawing is a fun thing to do. Why do you find that funny?
*Tails whipped away an invisible tear and he sighed.* It’s not so much the drawing then it is the drawing of Sonic with Heather. That’s just so… Unthinkable! *he burst out laughing again*
*Lindsey put her hands on her hips.* I’ve got a newsflash for yah, Tails. Look over there. *she pointed at Sonic and Heather, sleeping peacefully. It was so cute! She wished she had a camera.*

Chapter 9
A Familiar World
*~fast-forward to 12pm~*
*Heather began to stir a little from her sleep. She felt very drowsy and groggy as she opened her eyes, her senses not fully aware of where she was. She only saw Sonic’s face from the position she was laying*
*Sonic looked down at her silently. How long was she planning on sleeping? He felt her stir and he smiled a bit. Finally.* Hey Heather.
…? *She was slowly regaining her senses and stared up at Sonic confused. Why was he right in front of her? She looked around and saw they were in one of the chairs at the deck. More than that, she was resting on Sonic’s lap.* …! *She gasped and sat up, bonking heads with the hedgehog*
*Sonic grunted at her reaction. He held fast to her.* Hey, take it easy.* he starred at her.* It’s not like I’m gonna bite you.
*Heather blushed deeply and covered her face to hide It.* Ahhhh… I’m sorry! I... I-I didn’t realize that I—and… *She felt very embarrassed*
*Sonic just starred at her before he smiled.* Ha ha, no need to worry about It.* he said. Then he looked her in the eyes* By the way, thanks for watching the ship for me. I guess I needed that sleep more than I realized.
*She looked at the ground, still embarrassed* …I… I told you, you needed rest… *She said in a low voice. She would have said it more playfully, but still felt a bit stupid for falling asleep on him. Speaking of which, she was still there. She quickly got out of the chair and just stood next to it, looking down.*
*Sonic was about to say something when the alarm sounded and the red lights flashed. Sonic rushed to Tails side, who was typing furiously. A huge screen replaced the vast of space and it showed a very oddly shaped world.* What is that place?*Sonic asked.*
*Lindsey jumped at the sound and her heart thudded hard against her chest. She thought she’s seen this world once before but…*
According to the scanner, the chaos emerald is right there!* he pinpointed the emerald at the middle of a forest.* If we jump into slipstream, we can get there in 5 minutes. Buckle up everyone!
*Lindsey buckled in and so did Knuckles, Tails, and Vector.*
*Sonic turned to Heather and commanded her to sit in the empty chair.*
*Heather looked at the world on the monitor. She knew that place* Wonderland… *She whispered in amazement. She looked back at Tails as Sonic told her to sit down. She hesitantly just into the seat they had been in and buckled up*

Chapter 10
Battle in Wonderland
*~Fast-forward to 5 minutes later~*
*Lindsey stared at the huge place open mouthed.* Wow…
*Tails did some more button stuff.* We need ground troopers. Sonic, and Knuckles should be the search team. Vector and Espio, you guys find out information about the world. And, move out!
*Lindsey stood up.* Hey! What about us?! We’re not just gonna stay here while you guys get all the action! We’re coming with the search team!
*Tails glanced at Lindsey, then at Sonic who nodded.* Alright, stick close with Sonic and Knuckles. If you guys need anything, take this communicator, okay? *Tails threw Knuckles a communicator disguised as a watch. He strapped it into his glove and grunted. Tails flew into the atmosphere and once they were close enough, He opened up the haul s they could leave.* Good luck you guys.
*Heather couldn’t help hope luck for Vector and Espio if they had to find information on Wonderland. This place was no ordinary world. Everything made no sense at all there. She got up and followed the other to where they had to go to exit the ship.* We may need more then luck… *She said a little worried about what they may run into in Wonderland.*
*Sonic glanced at Heather. Some kind of great team spirit…*
*Knuckles looked at the watch and it said how he was supposed to follow the emerald signal, so he started to run in that direction.*
Hey! Forgetting something aren’t you?
*Knuckles groaned. That’s right…*
*Sonic glanced at Heather again and picked her up.* Try and keep up, okay Knuckles? He jumped off the ship, Knuckles following with Lindsey and they landed safely on the forest floor. Someone was playing music really loudly. He followed the sound and came to clearing where there was a long table. He’s stopped and starred. There were two guys at the end of the table talking very loudly.*
It’s a bit funny for her to come all the way out here, isn’t it?!*said one with a big green hat.*
Yes!* said a bunny.* She wouldn’t normally care for a cup of tea, that queen.
*Heather had followed Sonic, peeking out from behind a large tree to see a clearing that was occupied by a giant table. Tea Pots all over It.* The Mad Hatter… And the March Hare…! *Heather whispered, unable to believe it was really them.* …Sonic if you’re thinking about walking out there, I would think twice about it. *She warned. Citizens of Wonderland where not always… well never normal.*
*Sonic glanced at Heather.* That might be, but they sound like they know something, and the chaos emerald passed through here not that long ago, so they probably know something. *He walked out before she could say anything else. They didn’t seem to notice him, not even when he was standing right next to them.*
*Lindsey didn’t want to go out there.* Can we just hide here?* she asked Heather as Knuckles went to join Sonic. Lindsey’s eyes widened and she sighed, realizing what was inevitable. * Knux! Hold on!* she said, trotting next to him. *I gotta warn you, these guys are veeeery random, so please try to keep calm…
*Heather ran out with them. She looked at the two characters who didn’t seem to take notice to the group and had begun singing their famous song. The “Unbirthday” Song.*
March Hare: “A~~ Very merry unbirthday~ To me!”
Mad Hatter: “To you?”
Hare: “Yes me!”
Hatter: “Oh you!”
Hare: “A~ Very merry unbirthday~ To you!”
Hatter: “To me?”
Hare: “Yes you!”
Hatter: “Oh me!”
Hare: “Yes now we congratulate us with another cup of tea! A Very merry unbirthday! ToOOOO~ YOU~!”
*Heather couldn’t help but smile and laugh at hearing the song in real life by the two first to sing it. She couldn’t help herself but to clap. When in Wonderland, do as the Alice did.*
*Lindsey stuck her tongue out, not wanting to be there right then. These guys were probably her least favorite characters in the whole movie. They’re mental! And Heather was clapping for them?! She rolled her eyes as Sonic clapped too, but she and Knuckles didn’t.*
Excuse me, guys.* Sonic began,* You wouldn’t have happen to see a big shiny gem about this size around lately, have you?
*Lindsey wanted to tell Sonic that he probably wasn’t going to get any helpful info from these two crazy fools.*
*The two characters jumped, seeming startled from the clapping as if just realizing the group was there. They didn’t even seem to hear Sonic’s question, as they jumped onto the table and began running towards them. Shaking their hands in a “don’t come over” way, yelling* NO ROOM! NO ROOM! NO VACANCY! NO ROOM!
*Heather blinked and looked around at all the chairs around the table.* But there’s no one else here. *She said tilting her head with a shrug of confusion.*
*Lindsey starred at them and she yelled out.* Hey, you guys, it looks like they don’t know anything and we shouldn’t wander around in places we’re not wanted, too bad, so sad, let’s GO!* she said and turned to leave the clearing, but the rabbit stopped her.*
NO! NO! Can’t go out there! No room for the likes of you!!* he shouted, waving his hands and making her walk backwards and bump into the table where the Mad Hatter shoved her back towards the forest, yelling*
NO ROOM! NO VACANCY!* she then got pushed back towards the Hare, who shoved her back over to the Mad hatter.* I told you there’s no room!!
*Lindsey got shoved back towards the Mad Hatter who shoved her away towards the Hare, who shoved back and Lindsey felt like a giant pin-ball machine.* Stop!! Stop it! I’m not going anywhere!!
*Heather grabbed onto Lindsey’s arm and pulled her away from the two mad characters.* Um… Sorry, we didn’t mean to barge in or anything. But we have something we need to ask you. *She tried thinking back to a movie. At least a way to catch their attention.* We also enjoyed your singing. Actually-- *She was cut off by the Hare appearing next to her, startling her a little.*
YOU enjoyed OUR singing? *He asked, flattered.*
Oh how delightful! *Said the Mad Hatter* Would you all want some tea?
*Sonic just starred as the two mad characters as they took hold of Heather and dragged her to the far end of the table and started pouring tea for her. Sonic yelled across the clearing t her.* It looks like you’re the only one who really gets these guys, Heather. Try and ask them if they’ve seen the chaos emerald!
*Heather groaned mentally, not wanting to have to deal with these guys alone. But might as well try.* uh, I was wondering if you guys knew anything about a—
Tea?! *The Mad Hatter Offered, holding it out to her. Heather sighed slightly. She honestly didn’t like tea, but to say that here would be suicide.* Thank you, but I really need to know if—
*Knuckles looked at Sonic* You think she’ll get anything? *He wasn’t sure if those two were capable of keeping a straight conversation.*
*Sonic shrugged his shoulders.* I’m not sure if they’ll be any help at all, but she apparently seems to know them…somehow..*He starred at them as she tried to ask again, and the duo kept on offering her tea, but then never wound up giving it to her.*
*After about a while of random conversations, or mostly subject changes. Moving down the table, and who knows what else, Heather finally had to get her question out.* LOOK! I’m looking for a large, shiny, emerald gem! About this big, maybe ‘causing some out of the ordinary changes?
Oh! Now why didn’t you say so?
The Queen has something like that, I believe. *The March Hare added.*
*Heather sighed in relief. Finally some kind of lead.*
*Sonic heard them. Just then, at that very moment, Dr. Eggman in his little floaty doohickey and Shadow revealed themselves.* Ah, The Queen you say? What a valuable speck of information that I have just over heard!
Eggman! *Heather exclaimed as she turned and faced evil doctor. She frowned*Just what are you doing here? *Dumb question. She knew. But how could he have gotten here? If he stayed then this world might take on serious damage from his attack. Plus she was still very angry with what he had done in her and Lindsey’s world.*
No ROOM! NO MORE GUEST! *The mad hatter and march hare yelled towards Eggman and Shadow’s direction, running across the table as they did previous*
*Eggman starred at the two raving creatures with mild amusement.* No need to worry about me. I’ll be leaving now.* He looked over at Sonic and smiled.* See you at the ball! *he flew away laughing like a loon. Shadow followed behind him.*
*Lindsey starred at Shadow who was not looking at her, put at the March Hare with the same look you would’ve given a barking puppy.*
*Heather clenched her fist. She ran over to the others.* Let’s not just stand here! Let’s go! *She said running in the direction Eggman and Shadow went*
*Lindsey ran after her, hoping they hadn’t gotten too far.*
*Sonic grabbed Heather and ran after them quickly, keeping quiet so they wouldn’t hear them. Knuckles had Lindsey and he followed close behind Sonic. They didn’t have much choice but to make sure Eggman wouldn’t get into too much trouble. And if he did, they were gonna be sure to step in and stop him!*
*Soon, they managed to find their way to a large maze garden. Where all trees had red roses growing on them* We’re getting close… *Heather remembered that this was before you reached the courtyard where the queen of Hearts lived. She wasn’t at all thrilled at the thought of having to meet her. That queen could be serious bad news if you crossed her the wrong way.*
*Lindsey felt tension grow inside her and she squeezed Knuckles arm.* We all have to be polite and bow when we see her. I’m really not sure how this is going to work out…* a loud shriek resounded from far away. They sped up and found themselves in the middle of a huge fight. Eggman was trying to grab he queens staff and she kept hitting him with it. His robots were fighting against the Cards and Lindsey squinted at the staff. On the tip of the staff was the red chaos emerald.* Sonic, the Queens staff! *She said pointing to it. Knuckles put her down, as did Sonic to Heather and they both Dashed to the Queens aid.*
*Heather watched the fight. It was amusing how the Queen was beating Eggman over the head. She was someone who should never be crossed. But that didn’t make her tough. She watched as Robots and Cards where latterly nearly slicing the other in half or flattening them. She didn’t really want to sit back as the others had to fight, but her and Lindsey wouldn’t stand much of a chance out there. But as she scanned the invasion she noticed someone was missing.*
Enjoy the show, are we? *Shadow, who was standing behind them, glaring at them with cold red eyes. Great…*
Unhand my staff, you over-sized egg of a tyrant! *The queen of Hearts shouted as she knocked the doctor over the head once again with her scepter. What had cause this man to suddenly attack her kingdom? And when she was in the middle of preparing for a trail! That really burned her up.*
*Lindsey stiffened and didn’t want to turn around, but she did anyway. She met his gaze and her throat tightened. She wanted to say Hi and smile, but they were on opposite sides here, and she had no choice. She couldn’t let her guard down around him. She turned to face him and she crossed her arms.* Yeah, pretty entertaining,* she said sarcastically,* but there’s something I find even more interesting then all this. Why do you always team up with Eggman to get what you want? You don’t have to be a bad guy to get what you want. There are ways of getting what you want without being… disagreeable.
*Heather frowned at Shadow.* I doubt it matters WHY he continues to be an idiot and chooses the wrong side. The fact is that he is on that side now. And you’ll never get the Chaos Emeralds.
*Shadow’s facial expression never changed, though it may have hardened.*
*Lindsey glanced at Heather and nodded, although she wasn’t exactly keen on fighting Shadow again. She was still recovering from all the bruises he gave her the first time they met. She looked back to Shadow, wondering what he would do now.*
*Meanwhile back at the epic battle between the Queen and Eggman. Knuckles had jumped in the middle of it* COMING THROUGH!! *He shouted as he punch Eggman’s ship away from where the Queen sat.*
*Eggman yelled angrily.* Darn it! Knuckles, stay out of this!! *He righted himself and pressed a button and all four mechanical arms flew out towards the Queen.* Just hand over your Scepter, your majesty, then all in your kingdom will be restored.
*It was a phony promise, Sonic knew. He joined Knuckles in defending the Queen.* Leave her alone, Eggman! *He said forcibly.*
*Eggman smirked widely.* Or what? You think you’re going to stop me? Not this time you won’t!!
*Back with the two girls and the dark hedgehog, things were… progressing well. The girls, refusing to let Shadow have a chance to go help Eggman, tried to fight him off. But all the hedgehog would do is simply pushing them aside. Not hurting them surprisingly. Heather sighed, taking in some breaths* Okay… This is not working.
*Lindsey was growing increasingly agitated. What could they do? Maybe if they kept him occupied long enough for Knuckles and Sonic to fight off Eggman and get the chaos emerald…She watched as Heather made another go at him and he pushed her aside and she suddenly remembered something. Shadow wasn’t hurting them because of the promise he had made her before. She couldn’t help but smile. Aw, how cute! Um, yo, earth to Lindsey. Think about that later when it’s not a life or death situation! But the point was, he wasn’t going to hurt Heather, and probably wouldn’t hurt Lindsey since he had already fought her two days ago, so why wasn’t he helping Eggman? He could if he wanted to, so why wasn’t he?*
Eggman wacked at knuckles who grabbed the arm and ripped it off, then he swung it around and used it to hit Eggman. Eggman flew out of his little ship and into a pack of cards who held their spears against him. He put up hi hands.* Alright, alright! I give! *Knuckles looked satisfied and Sonic gave him a high five.*
*The Queen, after smoothing out her dress and righting her crown took her seat in her chair and she pointed the scepter at Eggman.* Off with his head!
*Before the card guards could take the doctor away, a black flash of wind came rushing by, stopping quickly by the evil scientist. Shadow pulled an emerald, the blue emerald, he had from his quills,* Chaos Control! *And they were gone.*
*Heather and Lindsey can running to Sonic and Knuckles after the two villains had made their escape.* You guys alright? *Heather asked*
*Sonic nodded.* Yeah, we’re fine. But are you guys okay? We saw you fighting Shadow…*He paused and watched some of the Queens cards come back over to them. One of them brandished their spears wildly.*
State your name and your business with the Queen. *He order.*
*Lindsey nudged Heather.*
*Heather gave a nervous look to Lindsey, like a way of arguing “Why me?” She looked back at the hostile cards surrounding them and took a breath.* W-w-we’re Sonic, Knuckles, Lindsey, a-and Heather. *She said pointing at each of them of them individually. She felt like they were in a very tight space with how they were surrounded.* A-and we came here to ask a favor of the Queen.
*The Guards mumbled to each other and one to the Queen and told her.*
I know! I know! I heard them! *She sounded annoyed. Only because she was still miffed about the attack. But she had also witnessed these creatures protect her. So, even though it wasn’t something she would normally do, she would listen to their request.* Brave heroes. For your as thanks for your protection and rescue, I will hear you out. What is it you so desire? *The Queen of Hearts asked with dignity of a queen*
*They all exchanged glances then Sonic stepped forward, revealing some of that loveable hedgie charm. He bowed low to her.* Your Majesty, we require that gem on top of your staff. It’s important for us to get it.* he said, trying as hard as he could to talk formally.*
*The Queen of Hearts thought a moment and looked at her scepter. She had found this gem one a few days ago. It was rare but she did not expect anyone to ask for it. From her no less. But if an evil man was after it then there was more to this then she thought. It seemed familiar too; the situation.* Very well. *She removed the gem and handed it to the hedgehog.* Now go. I don’t want any more trouble in my kingdom! *She ordered*
*Sonic Thanked her and put the emerald in his quills before going over to Heather. He smiled at her.* Good job, Heather. *He said before he picked her up and dashed out of the garden before the Queen changed her mind. Knuckles followed with Lindsey. Soon, they were back on the Blue Typhoon.*
*Tails buzzed around them.* You actually got it?! And it’s not a fake? Wow! That was the quickest recovery mission we’ve ever done! *he said.*
*Heather had felt confused when Sonic said “Good Job” to her. What did she do? But she had dismissed it when they got back to the ship. She found that too easy. From what she could remember, the Queen of Hearts NEVER would agree to give anything up. Maybe they caught her on a good day. Or the universe has gone crazy.*
*Sonic stretched out on a seat and put his feet up.* That was one hard mission! I’m beat!
*Lindsey looked over at Sonic.* Are you kidding me? You hardly even did anything!
*Sonic huffed.* Nothing? Why don’t you try carrying around two girls on an important mission!
*Lindsey laughed.* What are you saying?! That we’re nuisances?! That’s not true! We helped you on the mission! You wouldn’t have been able to find the chaos emerald without us!!
But then maybe Eggman wouldn’t of found out so quickly, either. *He said crossing his arms. If they hadn’t stopped to play Tea Party, they could have searched sooner and probably found it quicker*
*Lindsey blew out air.* Well, that’s bitter-sweet. We’ll have to battle him again soon, huh? Since he does have a chaos emerald too if you didn’t notice. *she said.*
*Sonic grunted.* We usually leave kicking his butt and getting any emeralds he has once we only really have to.
*Heather sat in an empty chair and looked out at the stars while the others talked. She was in a bit of a surprised shock that they actually had been to wonderland. Did this mean, there were other worlds from movies they knew? But that was something that began to trouble her…*

Chapter 11
Unforeseen Darkness
*~Blue Typhoon – 5:00am~*
*Heather tossed and turned in her sleep, her face tight from fear as she dreamt. She suddenly jolted awake, breathing heavily, her face sweating a little.* …B…Bad dream… *She tried to reassure herself. In her dream, she saw a shadowy figure, holding someone hostage at gunpoint. Who this someone was, her or her friends or whoever, she couldn’t tell or remember now. In her dream, whoever it was didn’t seem to make it and was shot. Why, was something else she couldn’t recall. But it sent shivers down her spin just having to witness it. She was never good with thing like that. If anything else happened, she couldn’t remember It.* … *She felt uneasy. She knew it was only a dream, but her mind kept nagging at her to check on everyone. Make sure they were all there. She got out of bed, put her shoes on, and walked out of the room. The halls were dimly lit as usual when it was time to sleep. But the darkness of her dream made her a bit nervous to walk around alone in an almost dark place. She walked down the hall, first finding her way to the room Lindsey was sleeping. The door slid opened and Heather peeked inside to see her friend sound asleep. Heather let out a sigh of relief, glad to see she was still there. She walked away, letting the door close in its silent hum. She continued down the halls until she reached the engine room where also the Master Emerald was kept to power the ship. Normally, Knuckles was in there almost 24/7 watching over it or making sure the engines were alright. The door to the room silently opened and the brightness of the room almost blinded her from the change of light. She saw Knuckles, looking at some graphs and such on the control panels. Probably making sure the power levels were normal and not taking too much from the emerald. She also saw Espio and Vector in the room, working on the engine. It looked like they were fixing some loose bolts or something. None seemed to have heard the door, which was fine by her, just glad to know they were there. She walked away from the door, its sensors shutting it, and headed for the deck, hoping to find Tails and Sonic there.*
*Lindsey tossed in her sleep and her eyes snapped open at the sounds of footsteps. She squinted and saw a shadow of a body walk out the door before it closed again. She rubbed her eyes and slowly pulled the sheets off. She shuffled out the door and blinked in the bright lights of the hallways and she saw Heathers back.* What was she doing up?* she wondered, then decided to follow her.*
*As Heather continued further down the halls, she began to hear footsteps in the silence of the ship. Only they were not her footsteps... They were someone else’s. The girl quickly turned around and nearly screams as she nearly bumped into Lindsey* LINDSEY! *She let out a sigh* You scared me!
*Lindsey gasped and blinked.* Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you.* she said quietley.* Where are you going anyway?
I... I had a bad dream and... Well... *She wasn't sure how to explain her actions.* I guess I'm just a little shaken up. I feel like I just need to see that everyone is here on the ship safe and sound. *She felt a bit stupid. She then forced a smile and laughed, rubbing the back of her head* It’s really nothing though. Sorry if I woke you.
*Lindsey smiled and nodded.* I know exactly what you mean. I'll come with, if that’s cool with you. *she offered, going up to her and tucking her arms through hers.* I'll stay with you until you're done, okay? * she gave heather a goofy smile*
*Heather smiled at her friend and nodded and they walked down to the bridge to see if Sonic and Tails were there*
*They went through the sliding door together and she greeted sonic and tails with a wave before going over to a chair and sitting down.
*Heather looked at Sonic and Tails with relief and sat in a chair doubting she would be able to get to sleep after that dream*
*Lindsey sighed to herself and watched the stars fly by and somehow she thought she was being watched. Probably just sonic or something, but she had an uneasy feeling in her stomach that she couldn't quiet place. She shrugged it off and tried to focus on not dozing off.* Hey heather, we should make enchiladas sometime... *Lindsey mumbled over her shoulder.* I bet everyone would like them.
*Heather did not respond. She was looking at the ground as the dream rushed through her mind again. Was it a sign? It seemed so real she just couldn't shake it.* Huh? Oh... Yeah. *She replied in a mindless way. Not paying attention to her surroundings*
*Lindsey began nodding off and in a minute dozed off and had a dream that the ship was going to explode. She shuddered in her sleep and mumbled. Then she moaned and tried to run away from this huge purple thing that was trying to kill her and suddenly she screamed and woke up and hit the cold floor. She quickly jumped up." OMIGOD!! *She looked around and saw everyone starring and she smiled.* Scary dream! This ship blew up and I was being chased by this guy and it was so scary and I was like, omj! *she sighed trying to calm down.* Still scary though...
.... *The girl was staring at her friend, finding Lindsey's dream a bit freakier then hers. She looked up towards the blue hedgehog* ...Sonic? Ha-- *She was cut off as suddenly, the lights went out. And not just the lights on the bridge, all the power on the ship! The teen jump and squeaked a shriek and ducked under the chair place thing she was in as the ship seemed to die to a still silence in the dead of the darkness of space.*
Lindsey screamed and tripped over the chair and landed with a hard thump on the other side. The silence was only momentary when suddenly A huge crash! Came from the door and a light came as well.* Is everyone alright?! * came a loud voice. Knuckles. Lindsey let out a breath of relief, but groaned and rubbed her lower back which was smarting from her fall.* Ow, ow, ow!!! * She mumbled and light was shone on her.* Stop it! That light's not helping! *Knuckles looked around and Tails flew next to him.* Is there something wrong with the master emerald? *Knuckles shook his head.* No, it's in place. That was the first place I looked.* Tails hummed.* I bet the power cord snapped or maybe the system over-heated... Leave everything to me!
*Heather stood up and looked towards the others where the light was. She quickly ran over and grabbed onto the closes person in her direction, which happened to be Sonic. She hugged him from behind and just kept her face buried in his back out of little fear. She hated the dark, and felt a little scared, especially because of the dreams. She felt the hedgehog's hand touch one of hers and she fell still. Feeling a little safer*
*Sonic glanced over his shoulder at her and tried to sound soothing.* Don't worry, Heather. Tails will fix the problem. * Lindsey sat down in the chair and waited. What else could they do?*
*Heather wasn't sure whether to believe in Sonic’s words or not. She had a bad feeling about all of this.*
Hmm... We'll have to go to the power core of the ship. Beneath the Master Emerald... *The little fox thought aloud as he pulled out more flashlights from a box which was under one of the seats in case of such imergancy.* Knuckles and I will go see what the problem is. Sonic, you Heather and Lindsey go find the Chaotix and let them know what’s going on. *He said before he and the echidna left the bridge*
*Sonic grabbed the six flashlights and gave two to each of them.* Come on you guys. *Lindsey knew they’d be fine as long as Sonic was here. She turned on one of the flashlights and gripped the other as if it were a wepon.* Alright, let's go! We have no time to lose! * With that Lindsey jumped up and walked quickly to the hall. She doubted that the Chaotix had stayed in one place, so finding them might be kind of hard, especially in the dark. She hated how the shadows moved with her, as if they were going to catch her and suck her into darkenss.*
Heather walked behind both of her friends, feeling herself shiver with an anxious feeling in the pit of her stomach.* How are we going to find them like this...? They could be anywhere.
*Lindsey smiled.* I think that we should split up! We'll never find them like this, and they've got to be twice as scared as we are, all alone in the dark!! *She imagine the two lizards hugging each other as mysterious monsters surrounded them.* No! I've got to save them!! * She declared. She looked at Sonic.* I'll be fine, and we'll meet back at the deck in an hour, or so, okay? If I’m not there, then... you know something has happened to me!* she declared with a smile.
*Heather looked at her friend with surprise* Split up?! That never ends well! What if something DOES happen to you?!
*Lindsey paused and glared at heather angrily before stomping up to her and smacking her hand.* Have some faith, woman! *Then she went off alone into the darkness. She was determined to find her poor, vulnerable lizard pals, or else she would never forgive herself! *She knew she wouldn't want to be left alone in a dark room.*
OW! HEY! *She yelled after her friend but didn't chase after her after seeing that she had disappeared down the dark hall.* ....... *She sighed. It was so hard to get through Lindsey's head once she was determined to do something*

Chapter 12
Bean the Dynamite
*Lindsey had to admit, she did feel a bit stupid for being so rash, but she wanted to help. She turned on both flashlights so the whole hall was lit up in front of her. There. All light. Nothing to be afraid of...unless there was something behind her. She spun and flashed her light behind her. Nothing there either. So why did she have this knot in her throat, and why were her hands so numb? She gulped. She had to keep going! Espio and Vector could be anywhere...!*
*But... Unexpecting to the poor little girl, there was someone there. Watching. Not from behind, but from above. In the vents a Shadow moved so swiftly, so lightly to not make a sound. Finally, one of Sonic's little friends was alone, and was one of the friends who would be a piece of cake to take. The shadowy figure grinned as he followed and waited for the right time to strike..... Unfortunately, a ninja this guy was not, and he ended up falling from one of the vent openings and falling on top of the human girl, reveling a strange, green bird with a red bandana around his neck.*
*Lindsey screamed when she felt something tackle her. She felt panic over take her and she slammed the butt of the flashlight on the thing that attacked her. It squawked in protest and a green feather was caught between her fingers. Green-?!*
OW!! Stop that you little pest! *Bean squawked as he jumped to his feet, rubbing his head. This was not going the way he had planned.*
*Lindsey shinned both lights at the voice and found a giant talking ruffled parrot. A mobian. She had never seen this one often, but she felt she'd seen him before.* Who's calling who a pest, you over-sized chicken! *Lindsey snapped, quickly getting to her feet and getting ready. She could handle shadow this guy was nothing. She smirked a bit at the thought of the memory of how strong she had been.* You're the one who caused the power outage, aren't you?*
*Bean acted taken aback* WHAT?! ME?! Cause a power outage? Oh no, no, no, no. You got it all wrong, girly. *He began to walk in a circle around her as she followed with her gaze* What would I have to gain from taking out some lights? Please, that's not my style. *He eyed her, seeing that she looked ready to fight. Oh the poor misguided girl had no idea what she was dealing with. This bird never fought with his own hands. No, he had a different method.*
*Lindsey licked her lips nervously and glared at him, her throat constricting.* ...It wasn't you...?* she gulped a bit. He was circling her like a lion about to pounce.*
Of course not! *He said, acting like this was a normal conversation.* If I had it my way, I'd say screw the lights and just plow my way through this place! *He raised his arms* Frankly, I don't like the stealth method. I find it more entertaining to make things.... A blast. *He said the last word in a bit more of a longing, cunning, and yet crazy evil way. The next second, the bird was holding a bomb fuse lit, in his hand*
*Lindsey's mouth dropped, as did her defenses.* Now that's just not fair! *She complained. She gulped nervously and watched him circle around her. Why did she always manage to get herself into these crazy bad fights and situations?! But there was really no fight here if he just blew her up... then again this hallway was too narrow, and he would get himself blown up too. She hoped he wasn't stupid enough to do that.* ...What do you want, Bean? *Lindsey said calmly, wanting to see his expression. She did have this advantage...*
Oh, nothing really. *He said with a goofy grin* I just want you to have a BLAST! *he tossed her the bomb*
*Lindsey gasped and reflexively hit the bomb back towards him with the flashlight.* What's the big idea?!
*Bean caught the bomb and his grin got bigger* I have an idea! Let's play hot potato bomb! *He cheered as he pulled out a bunch of other bombs and began to toss them around like a party*
Lindsey’s eyes widened and she screamed and ran away.* WHAT THE HECK YOU MANIAC!!! *She ran as fast as she could, explosions sounding behind her, too close for comfort.* OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD!! KNOCK IT OFF!!! This is not FUNNY! Are you trying to kill me?!
*Bean giggled like a maniac, having fun throwing one of the love of his live, BOMBS, all around as they exploded, 'cause dust and debre to fly everywhere creating some holes in the walls and smoke and dust everywhere. Little did Lindsey know, he was running up behind her!* Kill you?! I'm offended! You don't want to play? Alright, how about some bomber tag!
*She got an idea of how he was able to stay with her and she turned off her flashlights and ran with her hand along the wall and eventually, she came to a corner and she hid behind it, panting. Everything got quiet and she held in her breath, using it sparingly, not wanting to make a single sound. Had she lost him?*
*in the shadows next to the young girl, Bean was hiding next to her as if he had been running from something to* ...This game doesn't seem very fun. *He whispered bluntly*
Lindsey screamed and hit bean over the head. But she didn't run. She sat there and watched him intently as he rubbed his head.* What's with you? *She asked in return. She grinned a bit, feeling a random rush of fangirldom.* You're pretty crazy, Bean, you know that? You remind me of someone... He likes bombs just as much as you do!* She was referring to Deidara from Naruto and she grinned at the thought of them meeting.*
Crazy is such a harsh word. I like to think insane *He grinned*
*Lindsey felt her panic ebb away and she slipped into a casual conversation with a guy who had mounds of C-4 on him. She laughed a bit and rested against the wall.* Perhaps psychopathic would be more appropriate...?* she suggested, but saying psychopath reminded her of Silence of the Lambs. She starred at Bean through the darkness for awhile, not saying anything... Well, now what? She thought.*
Why thank you! *He cheered proudly* Now than I believe I had a job to do. *He pulled out a small bomb, with a very short fuse, holding it up to Lindsey's face. Before she could react, it blew up in her face. But not with the explosives you'd think. It was sleeping gas*
*Lindsey gasped, but that was the wrong thing to do. Clouds seemed to roll over her and she fell to the ground, dead asleep.*
*Bean had put his bandana over his face to protect him and he chuckled like a maniac again.* SUCCESS!! *He cheered and grabbed the girl to drag her off. Though... Bean was not the most physically strong and literally dragged her*
*Lindsey felt herself being dragged but she couldn't open her eyes. She looked up and saw Shadow.* What are you doing here? *She asked but he didn't respond. She watched him sleepily and drifted in and out of the real world and the dream world. She could hear something of a conversation here, and then Sonic was there, stacking cards. She heard laughter from that parrot, and suddenly Knuckles was chasing after her for some reason. Lindsey couldn't figure out reality between truth having messed up dreams from sleeping gas*

Chapter 13
Sniper in the Dark
*Meanwhile Heather was being super clingy to Sonic* Have we found them y-yet? *She had her eyes closed, one of her hands gripping Sonic’s arms as he led her*
*Sonic rolled his eyes. What was wrong with this chick?* Heather, you have a flashlight, calm down.* he grumbled looking this way and that. Who knows where they were? He sighed and turned a corner into a room. The door slid open and he shined the light inside but there was no one there, so he tried the next door, then the next door… He wondered where they could be. This was taking far too long. Had it even been an hour yet? They were supposed to meet back there in an hour, so he turned on his heel and started going back.* We’re gonna go back to the deck, okay? Then you can see Lindsey, so don’t worry.
I am worried, and I doubt anything you say can change that. *She said, staying close to the hedgehog and looking around* It just does make sense that the power would just go out like this. Tails’ machines are too good for that… *She jumped with an “EEP!” as she heard a loud bang and she practically tackled the hedgehog*
*Sonic went on defense mode and ignored Heather’s over powerful hug. He grumbled something about explosions and the air ducts, then he turned to Heather.* Did you hear that, or was it just me?* he asked. Again, he heard it, but this time farther off. He wanted soooooo badly to run down the hall and find the source, but sadly… He glanced back at Heather and decided they would still go to the deck. Together. For now at least. He patted her head to get her attention and he grinned at her. Without saying much, he took her hand in his and gave it a reassuring squeeze.* You’re scared, aren’t you? Don’t be. I’m right here. I’ll protect you, no matter what.
*Heather looked at the hedgehog with round eyes, trying to see through the darkness. She felt her heart pound to his words, and her face blushed slightly. She felt a little calmer now… Something in Sonic’s voice making her trust that she was safe.* O…o-okay… *She stuttered a little and squeezed his hand, not wanting to lose him once they started walking. When suddenly…*
BOOOO!!!
*A figure under a white sheet had popped out of nowhere behind the two with a booming voice that announced it presence* AHHH!!! *Heather screamed, tackling Sonic again, only he had been off guard and they both fell over.*
*Sonic went down to hard floor with a grunt. GAWD!!! He instinctively held her and looked over her shoulder. There was Vector- Could he be any more obvious? The sheet he wore only covered his head. Sonic glared at the crocodile as he took off the sheet. Vector grinned at him.* Hi, found you!! * He boomed. Sonic began to sit up but Heather was still clinging to him. He looked back to Vector.* GREAT!!! I just got done calming her down!!! Now I have to do it all over again! Thanks a lot! *He complained, sounding like a child who wanted a certain ice cream and didn’t get it. He poked Heather in the ribs repeatedly….(mwah ah hahahahahahha….)*
O….M….Gness…. *She mentally breathed in her head, feeling like she could have a heart attack from that sudden surprise. She was hugging Sonic as she was mentally freaking out. She heard Vectors voice, but she was still getting over the shock. Then suddenly… she felt a poke vibration in her side. A VERY TICKILISH vibration* ….ptffffffffffffffff HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! *Heather laughed, even squeaked a tiny second, letting go of Sonic and holding her sides as she fell to the ground* N-No! HAHAH! D-d-don’t poke me! HAHAHAH!! *She said between outburst of giggles*
*Sonic starred at her as she rolled on the floor. He looked from his finger to her, and back again.* Wow… Ticklish much…?* he laughed a bit and got up, watching her recover. She sure was entertaining.* Ready to go yet? Or would you rather wait here for someone else to scare you?
Ahahehahehehe…ehe….. *The girl caught her breath, but still giggled a little as she sat up. Heather was very, VERY ticklish. She always tried to hide that fact because once friends found out about it they would always tickle her for no reason. She stood up and cleared her throat* Eh… N-no. I’m good. *She said, smiling sheepishly.*
*Sonic laughed at her.* Whatever you say Heather, whatever you say…* He turned to Vector.* Let’s go.* So they started towards the deck. Once they reached the door, sonic forced it open and they were on deck. It was empty. Maybe she just lost track of time.* You in here, Lindsey?* he called out, his voice ringing in the darkness. Guess not. He thought to himself.* She’s proably on her way right now.* he mused as he sat on a chair. He put his legs up and swung around and faced the two.* So, how about in the mean-time, we tell stories?* Vector nodded excitedly.* Yes!!! I have one to tell! Heather!* he flopped onto the floor then patted next to him,*You have to hear this one!!
Um… Okay.. *The girl had been looking towards the door they had come in from, wondering what could be keeping Lindsey. She walked next to Vector and sat down, her thoughts still a little distracted, but she was listening*
*Vector held the flashlight below his chin, making him look spooky. He held up his hand and said in a dramatic voice…* Once upon a time, on a night very much like this one, the power went off. Four friends had been having a sleepover when it happened. One of the friends disappeared. The three remaining kids went to the kitchen to eat something…* he glanced around for a dramatic effect.* They entered the kitchen and heard something ticking. Very quietly. Tick. Tick. Tick…. One boy inched closer to see what it was…* he glanced at sonic before turned on heather.*it was only a matter of time until something “came up” * vector said quietly. *Tick…tick…tick…Then suddenly…….* he stayed absolutely silent and watched heathers face. Then he turned out his light and disappeared. He moved swiftly behind her and said, * DIIIIIIINNNGGG!!!!! The toast was DONE!!!!
*On the DIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGGG!!!!! Heather had jumped and fallen over* AHHH!!! *She inhaled and exhaled* That wasn’t funny! *She had also jumped away from the source of the voice, now hiding behind one of the chairs. First Sonic had been messing with her mind, now people trying to scare her? What next?*
*Sonic was on the other side of the chair laughing. She was so easily scared!!! He held his sides to keep them from bursting with laughter.* Vector…! Vector, that was great!!* He said between laughs.*
*Heather frowned, now feeling embarrassed and a little upset. She stood up, facing the two, though they were hard to see in the dark* It wasn’t funny! *She stomped her foot, feeling her face get hot as she blushed, feeling stupid for even walking into that! But they both just kept laughing* ….You guys are horrible! *She said a little shaky before running through the door and out of the deck. She didn’t care that everyone liked to mess with her, but right now with how scared she was feeling and worried, she wasn’t in the mood to be picked on. How they could even take advantage of that kind of hurt her in a way, too.*
*Sonic finally got control over himself, but instantly thought of the face she had made, and she was off again. Vector chuckled and watched Heather walked out.* Awww…. I think I really scared her. Poor girl. *Sonic whipped his eye and sniffed.* Ah,* he said with a wave of his hand,* She’s fine, don’t worry about her. She’ll get over it eventually!* Vector harrumphed and went after her. He told her that awful story about toast and she got so frightened, that she ran off in cold fear. What would SHE think? He blushed a bit.* Why would you tell that frightening story to such a little child…?* He shook his head. * NNOOOOOO!!!! I will right my wrongs!!!* he yelled it like a war cry before he crashed down the hall at full speed.*
*Heather was sitting behind a corner, her face buried in her knees as she tried to calm herself. She was shaking a little, for some reason crying a tiny bit. She just felt so scared inside and worried. She had a very bad feeling that something might have happened to Lindsey, and all Sonic and vector wanted to do was LAUGH at her!* Lindsey… Where are you…? *Those explosions had meant something, and she was hoping it did not involve her friend. Vector had run right past the hall she was sitting in, but the girl didn’t take notice to the reptiles flailing. What was she doing? She shouldn’t just sit here like a little girl. She should go look for Lindsey herself! But… Heather has always had a hard time facing her fears. Especially being alone in the dark…*
*Lindsey felt awareness ebb and she groaned. She felt cold metal and her back was sore. She sat up and suddenly loud music pierced her ears.* EYE, EYE, EYE!! IM UR LITTLE BUTTERFLY! GREEN BLCK AND BLUE MAKE THE COOLORS IN DAH SKY!!!!* Who the heck was slaughtering Butterfly?! She yelled,* HEY!!! Knock it off, whoever you are! You sound worse than a constipated giraffe, giving birth for god’s sake!!! My ears are bleeding!!* She heard something rustle and the voice stopped, unveiling a familiar song. And before she heard thumps… Was someone playing DDR?!* Are you playing DDR, Ben?* she asked. She didn’t know how she knew it was him, she just did.*
Its BEAN bird brain! *The green bird squawked as he turned to face the blindfolded hostage.* And I miiiiiiiight be… It depends.. Can you play?
Lindsey ‘pffft’ed.* Can I play? Are you kidding? I OWN on DDR. Why? You got any game, Fluffy? *she challenged.* I could beat you blindfolded!!!
…………YOU’RE ON GIRLY!! *Bean cheered excitedly. Finally someone he could play this game with! He untied the girl and un blindfolded her to revile to her eyes a DDR game platform that you would see in arcades* LET’S PLAY!!
*Lindsey laughed.* Aw, sweet! Promise me something though, Bean.* she said seriously and loked at him dead in the eyes.*
And what’s that? *He asked, his arms akimbo*
*Lindsey was quiet for a second, then she said, patting his feathery head,* Promise not to cry when you LOSE to a girl!!!!* she laughed and quickly chose a familiar song.* Let’s go Heavy!!
*And so their little DDR battle began its epicness!*
*Meanwhile, back in the dark halls, Heather still sat where she was. She was looking at the ground, now not feeling as upset anymore, but now was too afraid to walk back to the deck by herself.* …. I’m pathetic…. *She sighed*
Well, well, well. Whut do we ‘ave ‘ere?
*Heather gasped, startled at first and looked around. This voice was not familiar to her* …w-w-whose there?
Now that aint good manners, Sheila. *The voice got closer* You outta introduce yourself first, oright? *There was an Australian/British accent tone to his voice. He stepped from the Shadows and stopped next to the girl. A large satisfied grin on his face, a large sharp fan sticking out of the side of his toothy smirk.* But you can call me, Fang.
*He starred at her letting his presentation sink in. Even after, she just gaped at him speechless.* Well, is nice to meet you to.* he mumbled, his smile turned to a bit of a pout.* What’s your ostrige’s egg then? Ko-koo stolen yur tongue, eh?
………………………..Huh? *She barely had an idea of what he had said but shook her head while jumping to her feet, taking a step back.* Just what do you want? *She acted brave. She remembered this character, but didn’t know very much about him. Only that he was bad news and really good guns men. But what was he doing on this ship? Wasn’t he enemies with Sonic?*
*Fang tipped his hat over his face a bit.* Nothing much, nope. I’m more a…a simple fella. Travlin where I please, goin here or there… Don’t like bossy people.* he stuck her with a glare.* And you demandin of my personal operations an such without even a ‘please’?* he shook his head and tutted.* Why don we start over. My names Fang.* He stepped towards her, hand outstretched in a friendly manner.*
…. *Heather looked nervously at him. The way he smooth talked made her a little suspicious. She stepped back again as he came towards her. She hesitated before slowly moving to shake his hand* …I’m… Heather.
*His sly smile widened as he shook her hand firmly.* Thas more like it! Now~* his grip tightened on her hand and he yanked her towards him.* Be real quiet like and I won’t have to hurt you.* he said as if they were still having a friendly chat.*
Whaa! *She squeaked as he yanked her forwards. She fell on her knees and when she looked up, they were face to face, and his eyes seemed to pierce through her. Her eyes widened* …I knew I couldn’t trust you… *She muttered subconsciously*
*Fang tilted his head.* So sorry ‘bout this, love. Take no personal offense. Were I not under current circumstances, I would treat you much more…* he trailed off.*Well too bad that’s not the case here, hm? Now come along. * He said leading her down the hall.*
*Heather stared at him with a little bit of fear. What circumstances? As he began to drag her on her knees, she stumbled to her feet and tried to plant them into the ground so he couldn’t pull her any further, trying to pull her hand out of his. Refusing to just go along with him* What are you doing?! Where are you taking me?!
Just takin a little stroll, Sheila, relax and enjoy it. It might be your last.* he added with a sneer.*
*Heather looked at the weasel in shock, feeling herself freeze for a second, but that also caused her to stumble a little. She regained her balance again and she tried to pull away from his grip again* N-no! Let me go! *She struggled but he had a tight grip on her hand. Just what was he trying to do? Was he kidnapping her? What for?! What good would it do? And by his last remark, it almost sounded like she might not ever see light again.*

Chapter 14
Attempt of Escape
*Vector had lost Heather in the dark halls, guilt was pulsing through him. What kind of evil being was he to scare an innocent child?! He stopped running. What was that? He heard a murmur of talk and he snuck to the left defty and he heard it again.*...be your last.* was all he caught but he knew that Australian accent anywhere. It was Fang!*
What do you want from me? *Heather asked through slightly gritted teeth as she tried to pull away from Fang again. This was getting her nowhere*
*Fang didn't answer the loud and obnoxious female. By the looks of it, Sonic liked her and if this didn't grab his attention, nothing would.* Quit asking so many questions!* Fang growled at her, tightening his grip for emphasis. Then he just faced forward, round the corner to the room that Bean was supposed to be in. It was at the end of the hallway and there was a pounding bass below him. Was there music playing? He let out a small growl of irritation. Bean was no doubt acting much too hyper again and if he didn't quit it, they would discover them much quicker and they would lose their element of surprise.*
*Heather pouted, wincing from him tightening his grip on her wrist.* I'll stop asking... arugh... once you. let. me. go! *Without thinking, she kicked her leg at Fang, making him yelp and let her go. She quickly turned and began to run from the weasel. She had to get Sonic. Or someone!*
*Fang rubbed his ribs and watched her run wildly.* Bugger!* he muttered as he dashed after her.* shouldn't ‘ave let my guard down... *He caught up with her quickly and this time he jumped on her. Once she was on the ground he took both her hands and forced them behind her back and swiftly tied a rope around them tightly. Hog tied. When that business was done, he sat on her back and crossed his legs casually.* Now what was the point 'o all that nonsense!* he asked in a scolding tone.* I do so hate mistreating ladies...But then again...* he said as a sneer spread across his face* You'd hardly qualify as a lady anyways! * Without waiting for her to respond, he hoped off her and pulled her to her feet, retreating back down the hall. He was leading her pretty much backwards. By his 'handcuffs' and your kind of being dragged along, but you have to keep walking backwards or else you'll be in danger of dislocating both your shoulders. U catch my drift? I aint playin around, ere!*
*Heather glared at Fang as she looked over her shoulder. She tried to pull away but it was working less than before. * You think you can take me so easily? *She growled under her breath. She planted her feet, pushing herself in the opposite way, or trying to, making them come to a small stop. Heather then began to spin around, and being taller than fang, made him lift off the ground slightly, spinning around with her. She then rammed into the wall, Fang the one to first hit the wall, squishing him. He let go again and slid to the ground once she moved away. Her hands were still tied, but she could still run, and she did*
*This girl was really testing his patience...* Do you WANT a bullet through your sodding head?!* he snapped and he rushed after her and found her quicker then before.* It's useless!* He jumped on her again; they even slid a few inches on the metal floor. Just as quickly as he tied her hands, he did her feet as well and without another word, stomped back down the hall, dragging her along by the legs, keeping on a good grip. She wouldn't escape again. He could feel her wiggling her body, trying to break from his iron grasp, but he never let go. He headed down the bass trembling hall with purpose. All he needed to do was get this girl to Bean then he could go on with his plan...*

Chapter 15
A Small Plan
Hey! You're good, girly! *Bean complimented as he and Lindsey still continued their DDR epic dance battle of DOOM, both on hard mode and on their, maybe 26th song*
*Lindsey smiled at him as her feet moved faster to match the arrows flying on the screen.* You're not to bad yourself , Bean! But here comes the hard part! Oh no! Can you keep up?!* She teased as the arrows came faster and in complicated bunches. She was so good at these parts... Her combo was reaching higher than his... yes! * Ha ha! I'm beating you~* She was cut off when the door flew open and she leaped from surprise with a shriek.* Omigod! What the heck?!* she yelled.* I just started to beat him and~* She stopped short seeing who had knocked in the door. She pointed a finger at him.* NO WAY!!!* she yelled.* YOU! *Elation washed through her at the sight of a new character. It was Fang! In the flesh!*
*Fang was a bit miffed at how his partner was behaving. He tossed the girl into the room and hung casually around the door frame.* Really, Bean? She's supposed to be a hostage, not a team mate! *Fang scolded. He found it pretty easy to ignore the other girls odd behavior and Beans as well. Mostly. As long as what he did didn't jeopardize his plan, it was fine by him. He nodded at his hostage.* Make sure neither of them leave this room, roger?* he said before turned and closing the door behind him. He only needed to do a few things to get the irate hedgies attention...*
OW!! *Heather exclaimed as she was thrown into the room. She managed to sit up since she had landed on her side and shot another glare at Fang before he left* ...Why that low down... little... *She mumbled, feeling frustrated at how he captured her. So easily too! Just great. The girl finally looked over and noticed....* LINDSEY?! O_______O
*Lindsey gasped.* HEATHER?! :O omj!* she quickly went over and untied her friends bindings. She gave her a sympathetic look.* Fang really did treat you badly, huh?* she asked.* Don't worry! Next time I see that good for nothing ferret, he'll be looking at the ground through a straw!* she half threatened, half joked. She hugged Heather tightly.* Are you okay?* she asked before letting go.* I guess splitting up really isn't a good idea as I thought it was...* Lindsey laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of her head.*
I tried to tell you. *She sighed and stood up. When Fang would get back she really wanted to teach him a lesion. How, not sure, but somehow! She then noticed Bean and thought a moment. The explosions...* Wait... Lindsey, you were kidnapped too?! *She pointed at mean, an unspoken way of asking if he was the one who got a hold of her*
Hey, don't go pointed fingers now, sweetie. I was just following orders! *Bean said casually. Heck, he didn't have Lindsey died up and dragged here in such a way. At least she had been asleep.*
*Lindsey felt a bit guilty. She had gotten the awesomely crazy kidnappers, and Heather got the seriously evil one. Lindsey smiled and blushed.* Ummmmm.... Actually...* she looked at Heather with a small smile and said in a whisper,* He's as cool as he is in the... you know....* She shrugged her shoulders before laughing again. It was embarrassing. Here Heather was bound and gagged and here she was having fun on DDR.*
*Heather's head dropped as she sighed again* Any chance of us getting out of here? *She asked, changing the subject*
*Lindsey's smiled faded a bi and she glanced at Beans then back at Heather.* Nope!* she said cheerfully but she was a bit worried of how this would all turn out.*
*Heather frowned and sat down again, sitting criss-cross, her elbows on her knees and her chin on her palms* Then what are we suppose to do?
*Lindsey groaned and crossed her arms.* We're basically sitting ducks right now...* she grumbled. She didn't like feeling helpless. Of course they could get away easily from Bean since there were two of them, but what if they came across Fang? That would be a real problem. Lindsey watched Bean playing DDR more and she suddenly sprang an idea, though she doubted highly that it would work.* Heather.* she whispered, although she hardly needed to since Bean had the music really loud,* I was sleeping and woke up here, but you remember where you came from right?* she asked hopefully.* If you do, I can distract Bean while you slip out of the room. The doors unlocked, so you should be able to get out without being noticed.
*Heather thought a moment. She did kind of remember the way. It was dark but she could probably find her sense of direction* I don't know... You think it could work?
*Lindsey smiled and nodded.* When his attention on me, leave, okay?* she whispered, then focused back on Bean who was nearing the end of the song with a high score. A REALLY high score. She jumped up when there were only about five seconds of the song left and she shoved Bean of the mat.* Ooohhhhh, so close!* she taunted. This was actually pretty dangerous ground, but she sure had his attnetion.*
HEY!! *Bean exclaimed as he got back to his feet and frowned at Lindsey. Just what was THAT for?!* What'd you do that for?! Oh I get it! You’re mad because I beat you last round! *He said smugly, his arms akimbo with a sly grin of triumph on his face*
*While Lindsey had Bean’s attention, Heather stood up and as quietly as she could to the door. She opened it slowly while they talked and looked back towards Lindsey.* ‘Please be careful Lindsey…’ *Heather thought, nodding towards her friend since Bean’s back was to the door. She quickly stepped out of the room, closed the door quietly, and ran down the hall as fast as she could. She was hoping not to run into Fang as she made her way through the darkness. Maybe she’d find the others and could warn them! Hopefully… She was without a weapon or anything to really defend herself besides her own wits.* Sonic… Where are you…
*Lindsey biffed him on the head.* You're so on, yah chicken!! *she declared and chose a song- any song! Luckily it was a super fast one that required lots of attention. As they danced along, Lindsey made sure to make Bean focus on only her.* The only reason you won last time was because you're buddy, the possum, decided to barge in!* she accused, keeping pace with the music. Her heart was beating so quickly and not only because of the game. She really hoped that Heather found Sonic soon! She also hoped that Bean wouldn't notice-* Aw crap!* she yelled. She hadn't been paying attention and Bean was winning. She tried to get her combo back but failed before the song ended. She got a B and Bean had an AA.*
HA! *Bean yelled in triumph. Arms in the air* You were saying? *He grinned, teasing her now*
*Lindsey did feel a bit miffed she had lost so easily, but when he turned a bit to look at her, she panicked.* Uh, O-Oh yeah?!* she shot back,* That’s what you think! I'd like to see you try that again, Beans!* she said, picking the same song. She had no idea how long she could keep this up.* Heather, please hurry!* she thought as the next round began.
