The two were in Eve's car, driving to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries and prescriptions. The car slowed to a halt as Eve pulled it into a parking space.
"Now, Ty, be on your best behavior when we go in..!" Eve got out of the driver's seat.
Tykier opened the door on his side, and stood up. "Okay, Mom!"
They both went into the big store, and got a shopping cart.

Bailey was walking around, on that day, with Ebony in the cart in front of him. The little girl was wearing a pair of bright green boy's shorts under her pretty little green dress and quite enjoying being able to ride around and see everything. They were at the Walmart to pick up a few new outfits for the girl - since Dartie wasn't a shopping type, and Charlie barely even shopped for himself. It was also since Ebony was the only one in the house who wore girly clothes and Bailey was trying to find some for her.
As they were riding by some other people entering the building, Ebby spotted what looked like a boy with one eye and wing arms!
"OOH! OOH! YOU HAVE WINGS ON YOUR ARMS! PURTY!" the toddler called out to Ty as they went by him, causing Bailey to raise his eyebrows and turn, hoping she hadn't upset anyone.

Surprised, Tykier spun around, and saw a little girl who was purple skinned, and had beautiful white wings. "Um... Hi..?"
Eve also turned around at the yell, thinking that Tykier got in trouble. When she saw the little girl, she then sighed with relief.

Bailey reached in and took Ebony out of the cart for a moment so that the girl could rush over and investigate Tykier. So far he didn't seem dangerous so the boy didn't have a problem with letting his sister see him.
"Your arms are pretty!" she squeaked when the got over towards the boy. "And you've got such a nice eye!" Yep, natural charmer, this one. XD

Tykier was embarrassed, and flushed a brilliant red, at the weird complements. "Uhmm... Thank you..?"
Eve bent down, hands on her knees, and said, "Hello, and what's your name," she smiled.

"You're welcome." she told him with a grin, before turning to Eve, "I'm Ebony. What're your names?"

"We're just here to get some groceries," Eve answered.
"That's right! Speaking of which," Tykier squinted towards a pyramid of chocolates, "aren't we supposed to get those Mom..? For her..!?"
"Tykier, can you see alright, honey..? You're squinting..."

Eve sighed, "Okay..."

Ebony didn't understand the significance of squinting as much as Eve did, particularly since she seemed to be in a perpetual state of squint. However, it was kind of obvious when the boy was doing it, being as he only had one eye and it was rather large so movements in it were kinda easy to notice. Plus, it looked odd for him to be doing it.
"Is squinting bad? I do it and I'm fine..." she asked, cocking her head to the side.

"Well, when a person squints for almost the whole day, while looking at something, it means that your vision is getting blurry and you have to see the eye doctor..."
Tykier sighed, "Okay, fine! My vision is getting blurry! But I don't want to see the eye doc..!"
