WEB WRANGLERS

We start in Khan's dojo, where a bunch of Foot soldiers are sparring and such. Khan goes into his "communications room" and contacts the Shredder, saying that the Foot is reformed and they only need Shredder's presence to start wreaking havoc. Shredder says that won't be long, since he's made his own Cyber Portal. Before he tries it himself, however, he needs some test subjects... like a field mouse he pulls out of a picture.

In the sewers, the boys (sans Don) are riding around on their wheels. Dialogue reveals that Don's still doing the searching thing, and since the rest of the Turtles can't exactly help him with that they're just goofing around. Cue some one-up-man-ship that's guaranteed to drive the fangirls wild, ending with Mikey falling into an open sewage container. As he's climbing out though, he's attacked by what looks like a part mouse, part insect creature. Raph and Leo fight it off, and it flees into a subway train. The boys chase after and fight it again, this time knocking it onto the rails and electrocuting it.

They bring it back to Don, who determines that it's a digital creature brought into the Real World... most likely by the Shredder. Just as they discover this, Mikey points out on the news that there are more of these creatures running around Manhattan.

Cut to a giant ape thing running around on the rooftops, with the Turtles chasing after it. It disappears for a second, and then grabs Mikey ("Come on, I'm not even a blonde!"). Don responds by pulling out a gun and shooting it -- with a dart, which causes it to turn back into data and get whisped away. Mikey squees over the gun before realizing that he had one all along. Oops.

Meanwhile monsters are rampaging in the streets. The boys decide to just jump on in, since there are mutants everywhere anyway. They start shooting mutants and sending them back From Whence They Came, when Raph gets steamrollered by what looks like a three-armed homage to Tokka. Raph decides to take care of that one, while the other three go after a giant octopus. They all get rid of the mutants, and Leo wonders what the Shredder's planning.

Turns out, he's planning to send every creature in existence through his Cyber Portal. I'm not even kidding when I say that he's giggling to himself as he sends more creatures through. Khan calls him up and asks if it's really necessary, and Shredder explains that he wants to stop the mutations before going through himself. He does one final test -- sending a "Khan" through the portal. The Khan-clone has mere seconds to reflect on his existence before being shot in the back by the original. Shredder calls this a success and prepares to transport himself into reality.

Back on the rooftops, the Turtles are chasing another mutated creature, which eventually stops behind a dumpster. Mikey hangs back, that is until the creature is revealed to be a perfectly ordinary chipmunk. The other boys see this as a bad thing.

Back in Don's lab, he explains that the Shredder will attempt to come into reality himself now, and the animals were just for testing. If the Shredder comes through the portal now, their dart guns won't do anything to him. Just then, a surge of energy shows up downtown. The boys are stymied as to how to stop the Shredder, when Mikey comes up with the idea to just mess with the portal enough so that the guns will work, and send Shredder back that way. They split up -- Don and Mike in cyberspace to screw with the portal, and Leo and Raph in the Real World to stop the Shredder.

Leo and Raph show up at Khan's dojo, where the Shredder is taking his dang time going through the portal. They jump in, and Khan orders his Foot ninja to attack the Turtles.

In cyberspace, Don and Mikey arrive at the Shredder-Block, where they find Mr. Spikes himself apparently offline. The good news ends there, though -- they've got less than three minutes before the Shredder appears in reality!

Meanwhile, Leo and Raph are holding their own, but since they're literally in Foot HQ there seems to be no end to the Foot soldiers.

Back in cyberspace, Don attempts to start messing around with the portal, but in doing so activates some security. Mikey defends him with some neat new moves (looks like he's thinking like a cybernaut now!), and Don finishes up. They jump on their bikes and make good their escape.

In Khan's dojo, it looks like Leo and Raph have been defeated. The Shredder finishes going through the portal (and man is he huge), and is just about to kill the Turtles when something starts happening -- he starts getting stretched out. The plan worked! Shredder starts attacking anyway, hitting a lot of his own ninja in the process. The boys make a dash for their guns, but are knocked through a wall and onto the street. The Shredder follows them, full of Shredder Rage (TM), but the boys respond with a hail of data-making darts. And Shredder explodes!

Don and Mikey show up with the helicopter, and though the Shredder's defeated for now, Leo says that he'll most likely be back.

Back in cyberspace, the Shredder is definitely Pissed Off, and causes an explosion.

I liked this episode, it was a bunch of fun moments and kinda reminded me of the Mutant Outbreak episodes (in a good way). And FINALLY Leo and Raph prove that they don't have to fight and b***h at each other 24/7. biggrin
