This is a parallel I have only seen in one other place and that is the same forum I got the idea for the Hitler to Voldie thread from. As with that one, feel free to add any similarities that have been missed, comment, ect. and if this is a duplicated thread, I apologize in advance.
Romeo and Juliet:
1. These two lovers were star-crossed (to quote Shakespeare) from the very start. They were destined to die.
2. Their families had an ongoing feud.
3. They were not supposed to love.
4. Their deaths showed their parents that the feud was pointless.
5. Juliet wanted to run away with Romeo so she took a potion that temporarily made her dead.
6. Romeo, believing the love of his life was indeed dead, traveled to the burial place and drank a poison, killing himself.
7. Waking up to find Romeo dead Juliet took his blade and stabbed herself dieing next to him.
The Bloody Baron and The Gray Lady:
1. These two were both members of the upper class. The Baron loved her but the Gray Lady held no interest in him.
2. The Gray Lady’s mother made a diadem, which she went to steal.
3. The Baron killed her to keep her from gaining all the knowledge held in the diadem.
4. Seeing that his love was dead he slayed himself, much like Romeo did.
5. In his death he remained chained by the love he held for the Gray Lady.

I love discussing theories, though I have to admit that this one isn't as well-thought-out as your Hitler/Voldemort one. (Please, don't be offended; I'm trying to be honest, not insulting.) A man and a woman that love each other equally that are born from families that attack one another regularly don't have much in common with the Bloody Baron and Grey Lady situation. Basically, the only things they have in common is that they're all wealthy and the man involved committed suicide because the woman he wanted was gone. No offense, but there are quite a few stories of that nature. I'm sure it happened in real history, and I remember one novel I read (I don't remember what it was called since it wasn't good or worth remembering) where the main character was an orphaned because her mother had died and her father killed himself because he was brokenhearted after being widowed.

Again, this too was from my friend on fanfiction.net. Yeah, not as thought out as the Hitler/Voldie one, but I have always seen the Hitler/Voldie connection but this one takes some thinking for a good while before you can recognize it. I had to think about this one for a couple nights before I caught it. And I had to reread Romeo and Juliet. And I think it is the reason I've only seen it at that forum on ff.net. But I figured I would throw a couple things out there for people to think about. Maybe I should come up with another one....In fact, I do have one that might be really interesting....anyway, discuss this if you want, or don't.

Urgh, I would NOT want to reread Romeo and Juliet (only Shakespeare play I read that I hated.) though it's good that you wanted to understand the theory so much. If you have a theory of your own you should definitely share!

I LOVE Shakespear! I LOVE reading his plays, sonnets, and poems. Understanding the theory just gave me more reason to reread it. ^_^
