Okay, so we ALL are here for one reason or another though with the same overall goals of the guild. But I've noticed recently that the amount of work being done to reach those goals have been, well.... Zero. All top threads are 'nearly' irrelevent to the growth of the guild. The chatterbox thread for example is one of the threads most posted in. Shouldn't we be working towards our goals instead of constantly goofing around not getting anything accomplished? I'm not saying that we should get rid of all that and be too serious, I'm just saying that we need a balance between the two if you get at all what I'm saying. This is just a little concern of mine that has risen as of late and I felt it had to be addressed.
Thoughts? Opinions? I'd like to know...

Well for the most part I agree with you, I do feel that all I'm posting right now is about throwing things at the next poster or some really crazy stuff at the lab. There is no plot update yet so things are getting quite but I dont see why we dont still take on projects ect. Right now the only real thing we are looking at is the Scouting Mission and thats been there for a while with no start in sight confused . So I must say we do need to organize some progects to help the guild. and woot first post whee

lol yeah. Well I've actually just thought of an interesting project something that everyone can contribute to in their own unique manner and unlike things like banners and contests, this project requires everyone to work together, something we've been lacking lately.

Exactly, but my idea is something that can have any skill. My idea is along the lines of a guild zine or something. We could use peoples artistic abilities for the design and layout, others skills with programs like flash (if it were a flash zine or something, it'd be neat) people with writing skills, organizational skills, or people with certain expertise's that could make for articles, etc. It's a nice healthy project that everyone can do.

I've noticed that we don't seem to be doing much, but when we say, make a cycon recruting thread in the chatterbox. You don't post in the guild that "I'm posting recruting threads, give me a prize."

I'm not talking about prizes, I'm talking about how we don't do as much work as we could be and the work that IS being done is almost never a group effort. I mean, why should we rely on one person to make a recruitment thread, or another example are the banners, one person makes a banner and another person makes completely different banners and usually one is chosen or something. We're not really working together like we should be and because of that, it's almost impossible for the guild to grow as a whole.

i don't know where we've fallen but kaoru has a point even if we are unable to meet each other at the right time we still need to bring in more people to expand this guild all we've been doing is lowering in our corner waiting for one of us to strike at the perfect moment and then hope others will come we need to be out there working our butts off recreuting people for the stake of our guild

i agree with you kaoru, we need to get more organized unfortunately many of us are busy with other stuff. It was mentioned that we were going to make a council and everyone could vote ((on something, sorry can't remember the details sweatdrop )). Hopefully sometime soon we can start shifting back into gear

A lot of ideas were postponed for Cycon's involvement...but it seems he won't be coming back for quite a while.
If anyone want's to start something up, start it up. There's no problem with that. Just let us know what's going on. There's nothing harmful with letting you guys lead your own projects to spread the message.
We keep talking about unity, how we have to come and work together, but in actuality, that's never going to be very possible. We all lead busy lives, and there's no reason to blame anyone for that. What we really need to do is branch out, make connections with people. We are already unified under a common goal, we are unified as friends, we can't get much more unified then we already are.
I'm sorry if you all have felt like nothings being accomplished, it's been a bit difficult for me to keep things going at the pace that we were going during Summer. I was actually glad to see that we were able to return to a more relaxed atmosphere instead of being so business-like all the time.
It's occured to me that what we are doing here, having fun, being silly, making new friends, is what we've been trying to spread all along. We are accomplishing our goals just by being who we are.
So in essence, I'm saying that if anyone has ideas, go for it. I trust you all and know you well enough that you aren't going to do anything that goes against the guilds goals. Cycon is not here to help us, he's got his own busy schedule. I'll try to get things moving when I can, but for now it's up to all of us, we all have to do what we can, when we can. No one person can do it on their own, and none of us can all work together because of our own busy lives. That is just how it is.
