When Iofiel was finished with her training for the morning, she decided to take some personal and relaxing time for herself. Lately the trees and environment were changing around her, and she hadn't taken any time to admire it all! There had been so much going on in her life, with siblings and baby sitting to attend to. So for today she took to the forest, and followed a small trail that led her around and between tons of trees. The wind was constantly blowing more leaves around and on top of her, and she grinned as she shook her head to get them off. It really was beautiful around her, and she was having a great time overall. She noticed briefly that a winter coat was growing alongside her white fur, and she playfully puffed up at how comfy it felt. She'd never had a winter coat before, and she wondered if more hair would soon grow in. Her parents had always told her how much she'd love the fall and winter time. She was definitely a fan of bright colors and brisk waves of air, and she couldn't wait for the snow to arrive. "But for now, I've got lots of leaves to look at." With a bright smile on her face, she lowered her head and sniffed at three or four leaves. Each was a different color, and so far she had found red, orange, yellow, and brown. "What else can I find..." And with that, she stepped off the of the trail and continued forward and deeper into the forest. When her head was lifted again, she noticed she had made it to a small clearing. She wondered what else she could find!

Great, leathery wings fluttered faintly in the chilly breeze. The movement making them shimmer and sparkle as if carved out of diamonds. The wings were folded down against what appeared to be a massive mound of pure ice. A most bizarre sight in the autumn-hued clearing. The shimmering blue mass looked so completely out of place, as if some giant had frozen a pond, and then tipped the ice out like a cake mould, leaving it to lie around in the waning sunlight.
Yet, on closer inspection, the icy mass was.. moving. The faint raise and fall of regular breathing made the blue hide sparkle and shimmer. What had appeared to be frothy crystal growths shifted softly, curling round a pair of long saber-like backwards curved horns.
Suddenly the massive ice mound shivered and moved, rolling over onto its other side with a low snorted breath. A long fluffy-tipped tail curled into view, looping up against the creature's rear end. A long neck slid into view, arching round, the saber-fanged head settling once more, stretched out along the ground. With a snort of frozen breath the demonic stallion settled once more, deeply sleep in the pleasant chill of the evening, the first sharp tang of the oncoming winter just becoming noticeable in the air.

After moments of staring at leaves and colors, Iofiel saw a color that was not blending well with the atmosphere. An array of blue hues were sparkling rather brightly amongst the sandy colors. Her eyes tried hard to take in the apparent contrast, and after a moment of reflection she decided to move in closer to investigate. The second she realized what the creature ways, her expression changed and she arched her neck slowly. Her body was now in a defensive position, and her mouth held a frown of discomfort.
The stallion looked to be Kalona-ish, but Iofiel just couldn't tell. She also couldn't tell what he was doing, and she tried hard to remain silent while guarding her body. If necessary, she would defend herself as needed. But at the moment, it didn't look as though the stallion had noticed her. That was good at least, it gave her time to learn everything she could about him from her eyesight.
From her own perspective, she could tell he had long piercing fangs that hung from his jaw. They were most unique looking, and Iofiel took note of their capacity for damage. His wings and tail were also bulky and full of strength, and within moments she was starting to understand just where the stallion held all of his strength. His strength would be a tough call to make, since she hadn't seen a true reaction or emotion from him yet. But she was ready for anything, and her eyes were watching with a fierceness she always felt before a problematic scene might arise.

The snoring demon was quite oblivious to the sudden lack of solitude he had assumed would be lent him in this place. It was only gradually, as the high tension of the mare slowly tainted the air of the glade, that he was stirred from his deep slumber.
A low rumbling snort escaped with a puff of vapour crystals from the icy muzzle. Long, ice-tipped ears flickered lazily, only half aware of the sounds that slowly filtered into the stallion's brain. Nostrils flared as he sniffed before jaws opened wide in a massive yawn, revealing the rather wicked looking fangs that decorated his mouth. Rather more like a skinwalker than anything else. Though he clearly wasn't of that particular race.
Lifting his head he shook it, long frozen strands of his mane whipping against his sparkling blue hide and tangling with his wickedly curving horns. Finally, the stallion opened his eyes, revealing a shimmering pale glow, an icy abyss. That eerie gaze slowly swung round to settle on the mare, its weight carrying a tangible chill. Dark brows drew down, shadowing the freakish glow. With a sudden heave, the massive stallion launched himself to his feet, cloven hooves leaving instantly frozen scars in the dry autumn grass underfoot.
"Hello... what do we have here?" He pulled his head up, tilting it as he stared down at the mare, a slow, lazy smirk curling his frosty muzzle. The dual-demon wings upon his back flared up then settled at his sides, his thick, muscular tail gliding back and forth across the ground, leaving a sparkling dusting of frost behind on the grass tips.

And alas, he had awoken.
Iofiel watched as he raised himself up to his hooves, and she examined his height in comparison to her own. Luckily he was only a tad taller, and her posture made her seem much taller then what she really was. But she worked hard to never seem intimidated. She could handle herself just fine in any situation, and she'd show any creature that. It did amuse her when he finally spoke out. From his initial words, it didn't seem as though he had any reason to attack. If anything, he only seemed confused as to what she was, when really, she was just as confused as to what he was! So apparently they needed some kind of conversation about that.
"I was just thinking the same thing when I found you here." her voice was steady, and she loosened her neck a bit so she wasn't straining it anymore. She lowered her eyes then at the ground around the stallion, and she was baffled to see ice so openly displayed. "What.. what are you?" she then said, while inching her eyes on the male's again. She didn't know if she should be impressed or concerned with his breed. So instead, she decided to see what the stallion would say back to her. That was the best strategy when the opportunity allowed it.
"Forgive me if I awoke you from your slumber, that was not my intention, and I am truly sorry. If you require more sleep then I will happily leave you to do what is needed." It was always a pain to be disturbed somehow, and she felt sort of foolish for drawing so near to him. She'd have to be more careful next time, though the stallion noticing her meant he had some great senses overall. She was as silent as she could be around him!

His frozen, hellish gaze settled on the mare's own void one. He let her speak as he studied her. Lazy, glowing gaze drifting over her, leaving a tangible chill behind. She appeared to be one of those angeni... yet her eyes, they reminded him strongly of someone else. Maybe she was fallen, or cursed? If that was the case, she was worth leaving alive. He liked to watch the pure bred angeni shrink and cower with disgust or unease from those who had once been among them. It was a peculiar type of hatred they held and it fascinated Sutekh when he saw it. A mix of prejudice, disappointment, and sometimes envy.. At least, that’s what he thought.
Reminding himself she had spoken he finally returned his gaze to her own, fangs gleaming coldly as he grinned. "I am a demon, Fourth ring of the Ninth Circle." Suddenly he bowed low, but it was mocking. "The name is Sutekh, pleased to meet you." His soft-looking tail curled lazily over his rump, the fur sparkling just like his frozen coat. "Sleep? I am awake now, why would I wish to go back to sleep.. Besides...... " Stepping forwards he paced a short distance round her, muzzle stretching out to snort chilled breath over her wing, his tail flicking under her muzzle, close enough that she could feel the bone deep cold that emanated from him.
"Why would I miss such an opportunity.. it is not often I see your kind around here....

No matter the size of a foe or opponent, Iofiel was never intimidated. She was trained by the most fierce creature she could imagine, and it was from his guidance that she learned everything important. So even now in front of the ice demon, she held her gaze and left her shoulders strong and firm. She may have been a mare, but she was a mare with potential. Reaper had discovered that in her, and shortly after she had discovered that in herself. It was better to be strong, and she loved her life for that reason. But for now, she had quite the stallion to deal with.
"Pleased to meet you, too." she then said while flicking her bangs out of her eyes. She could feel his chilly presence, and it was a weird phenomenon to be around. Though, what bothered her most was his comment. What was it about her kind that was so appealing to him? "My kind?" she then said, while raising a small brow. "What exactly do you mean by that?" Yes, she was an angeni. But usually others weren't concerned with that sort of detail. "If anything you should be more concerned with other creatures and kinds out there. I'm sure you can find some Kalonas to befriend and trust." She snorted at the end of her sentence, and watched him even more cautiously.
"Tell me stallion, what are you're intentions or desires in this world?" Her question was asked with a rigid stare, and she wondered what the hell the stallion wanted from her especially. There was something uncomfortable from the way he was watching her, and she was starting to get concerned with his changing movements.
