Iofiel was somewhat glad to have solitude in her life again. As she walked through the piles of leaves in the forest, she smiled at the constant silence that surrounded her. Just recently her family had expanded in size, but now that her newest siblings were grown, she was heading back to her silenced state of training. She was a committed mare, and she refused to do anything otherwise. Her goal was simple, and it was complete and total self domination. This was her next step in training since she had overcome all of the physical aspects. Just as her brother had predicted, her legs and muscles had grown firmer and stronger. Her neck was much straighter and leaner. Her wings were also more shapely and curved. Just days ago she left her family's comfort and support, but she was overjoyed to hear how proud her father was of her new sense of identity. She would prove to him of her strength, and that her gender was no obstacle towards her continuous fight.

Sometimes it was strange for her to realize that such a transformation was possible. It was why she loved pushing herself so much, and to become the strongest amongst many was most definitely a huge goal. She would be prepared for the next time she saw her brother and father, though. They was always training to, and she would refuse to be steps behind them in strength.

Silence may have been around the crimson and white mare, but Temptation was most definitely following her. Just seconds ago he caught a glimpse of her coloring, and after such a catch he decided to follow from a parallel distance. He was wonderfully sneaky when he followed mares, and he was perfectly in sync with the quietness around him. The mare was definitely a strong catch, she had unique features and also carried a sort of glow around her. Her hair was brightly red and her wings were the color of his own body. She had such a mix of contrasts that he couldn't help being attracted. Then again, he was ALWAYS attracted. That was just his thing, his code. Mares made life fun for him, and he'd continue his ways with no barriers or distresses.

Soon though, he would switch the attraction and get the mare's attention. He'd make sure to have some fun with her, and he'd woo her as he always did so easily. Soon she would be swooning for him, and his favorite game would come to the situation.

He did wonder about all of the scars and bruises she carried. Ah well, maybe she was a tough one?

Iofiel halted suddenly and realized there was someone around her. She gritted her teeth while scoping her eyes around the area, though unfortunately nothing was found from plain sight. She was glad that at least that her senses were on par and ready for this sort of situation, but the creature around her was, from her predictions and observations, a threat. She SO wasn't in the mood for a fight! Ah well, she'd do what she needed to keep herself safe.

She could tell it was a stallion, and his stench was overwhelming and deceiving. She wondered what he was thinking, since he was in a close range to her actual distance. If he was hiding, then she would find him, and quickly. She didn't like games. She liked straightforward meetings, and would rather a threat come barreling in to her proximity so the actual fight could be over soon.

Unfortunately, what she had around her was obviously a more silent and deadly type. Well, he probably 'thought' he was deadly. But she'd change that confidence. "If you don't make yourself known in two minutes, then I will force you to come out and to the open. If you don't believe me, then suit yourself and wait."

Feisty was she?

Temptation would never leave a female waiting, and with slow steps forward he made himself known and out in the open. His wings curled back as he approached the brighter mare, and his jaw gleamed with a smile as he witnessed her face from head-on. She was much prettier up close then from a distance. He always hated when it was the opposite, and when a mare was actually ugly in disguise.

He was amused also at her guarded position. The second she noticed him, her body changed completely. She went from timid eyes to hateful ones, and her back arched as if ready to attack the attacker. "Yes yes, I am a Kalona. But no, I am not attacking, just admiring." And with that, he stopped his walking and swayed his tail around rather comfortably.

"I hope you believe me so we can have a pleasant conversation. I'm just lonely and was wandering on my own, and when I saw a kind face I had to oblige..." His stayed glued to the mare's darker ones, and a strange connection felt almost too obvious as he watched her.

When his voice and facial expressions were so openly displayed, Iofiel for once in her life eased up on the defense. Her mouth was now cracked open, and her eyes were even wider then before. She was staring at a Kalona stallion, but her immense shock was only because of one thing. She couldn't believe she was seeing him again. He was all grown up, and it felt like just yesterday when they made their childhood pact together. The question was, did he remember her?

"Temp-Temptation?"

My had he grown. He was even scarier looking then she remembered! But it was his eyes and his markings that made him so memorable. And his horns were much bigger now that he was grown. "My, it has been ages, hasn't it?" She walked a few steps forward, and realized she was looking up towards him ever so slightly. "I wonder if you remember me?"

She looked down at his chains, and then proceeded to notice all of the scars and pains that they left around his legs. She wondered then, what had he been up to all of this time? Had it been wrong of her to not try and search for him? She had bonded with this stallion so long ago, and now he was back in her life again.

"Where has time gone..."

His plan was interrupted and halted for the moment, and that had never happened before. He never stopped acting, he was a great artist in his own line of work. A grim look placed itself on his face since he was uninterested with the mare's initial shock, though his look was soon replaced the second the mare said his name. What? How did she.....

As he stared and listened to her quiet speech, he himself was shocked in full expression. He had forgotten her, hadn't he? But no, that was wrong too. He knew who she was, he was only shocked at her grown appearance. Though, she must have been too, since it had been many seasons since their interaction as kids. He'd always remembered that filly on that day. He and Iofiel had made a pact, and he wondered, did that pact ever truly work out?

All bullshit aside, Temptation then truly grinned at the mare, and his voice came out plain and simply. Acting wouldn't be necessary right now. This mare was different, and she'd see right through him anyways.

"I remember you, Iofiel. You look incredibly different, and your strength and charm is eminent in the changes I see." All of the fears she stated on that day were clearly demolished, and Temptation was glad to see she was a fine mare.

"I'm afraid time greedy, though I am glad to finally see you again in full growth. And in truth, if we were to meet again, its better to discuss our progress, don't you think?" This was his first friend he was talking to. No one knew he had such an experience in his life. But it was Iofiel who calmed him down that day, and it was he who riled her up about her own life. But they both needed it, and it was a perfect union of friendship.

"I demand you start talking first, and tell me, why is it that you look stronger then even me?!" A hearty laugh then left his fanged mouth, though the laugh was much needed. After so much fake laughing, he had forgotten how comfortable a natural one felt when released.

There was relief on her end, and she smiled finally as he finished his words. "Trust me, I am overjoyed and a bit overwhelmed to see you again. So much has happened in both of our lives, so to start in one place seems impossible." But still, she'd happily rant any day. And if he didn't mind listening...

"After we met so long ago, I went and spoke to that family member I feared. He changed my entire way of thinking, and he took me under his wing and trained me completely. He taught me everything. I couldn't have asked for better circumstances, I'm stronger, more confident, and a better individual from it." She nodded then, and felt sort of weird for getting so emotional. "I don't know what I was so afraid of back then, but I guess we all need something to make us look further ahead."

She then paused, and straightened her positioning out a bit. "My family has grown since then, I have five other siblings now. But I'm usually on my own and training, and helping others when they need it. Unfortunately, my life is very quiet compared to what I've said. I have chosen a life that consists mostly of silence and solitude, but I come back to reality when I see my family or friends." Heh, now that she thought about it, her life was pretty boring!

"So, what about you? Did you discover your name, and find your true calling and meaning?" She was definitely interested to hear!

"Even if you say you haven't been busy, I beg to differ. Training still takes up a ton of time, I can tell you've trained a lot." Not to say he was intimidated, but compared to most mares, Iofiel was rather muscular in appearance. "Ah, so you are following your family's way and helping others? Can't say I am surprised. That is a good thing, though." he waved his eyebrows at his own response in a playful manner.

"Well yeah, my name is nice and clear now..." Wow, what COULD he tell her towards that? That he had been scamming mares since the last time they talked? That he and his brother took advantage of as many victims as they could? But it wasn't all as bad as it sounded. He would only flatter mares, and make them want him. He didn't come from a family that killed lessors or anything. So how mad could Iofiel get?

"To tell you the truth, I kind of flirt all of the time, since I know mare's can't handle my attention." he paused then, and expected her to make a face. But as usual, Iofiel was only staring and nodding, and never judging. "My brother is much darker and harsher then I am, and although I have my own destructive path, I enjoy, well, making mares want me." He was, in fact, rather tempting for all of them.

"I bet you think that sounds pretty ridiculous? But yeah, I enjoy my life and all its perks. I still never thanked you for calming me down so long ago, so thank you again." He wasn't as angry anymore as he used to be, since he had gained a sense of identity.

Well, everyone had their own paths in life, and Iofiel could respect that. "You don't hurt mares, do you?" Because then, they would have a problem. "I don't think flirting is a bad thing, I mean even if I don't really enjoy the subject, I think its something that other creatures have fun with themselves." She nodded then, and awaited his response on the 'hurting' part. She was expecting it to be a no, since he wasn't hurting her at the moment. Or in this case, trying.

"And its no problem, you also guided me through a rough time." she was then curious about his brother, since she remembered him speaking about a twin brother so long ago. "Is there a reason you're brother is like that?" she then asked, while getting a bit personal with his life. "Its just surprising, that is all. I remember you telling me that you don't come from a traditional Kalona family, and that you're mother and father preach for you all to do what you'd like. Is that the path you're brother has chosen?"

If it was, then that was a sad thing for Temptation to watch. Or maybe, it just didn't bother him? They were Kalonas afterall. Being destructive and angry was, well, normal!

He expected her question, and he was glad to reply with a no. At least there was one thing he was doing right. "I don't harm mares. If anything I please them with my presence, and I doubt any detail beyond that is necessary." He rolled his eyes playfully while shaking his chains off of his legs. "Why is it you don't enjoy flirting yourself? You are a young mare, and you have lots of time to enjoy you're life. It'd be a pity if you only trained all of the time."

He'd dealt with mares like Iofiel before. They were much too preoccupied with themselves to truly experience what another could give. He'd never understood why such mares could live their lives like that, but he supposed everyone had their ways.

"Oh, and my brother?" he then said, while adjusting his jaw a bit. "Well I mean, Damnation just does what he wants I guess. Just like I do what I want. Our parents always taught us to choose a path that would lead us to accomplish things. So maybe he accomplishes things in his own way? I know he has his reasons, so I'm ok as long as he has that." It was all so that he and his siblings would remain strong and give their family a brilliant name. Weaknesses would never be tolerated.

"I'd say you have about the same amount of siblings as I do now." which, was of course humorous to him.

Her own methods were strange for a mare, and she could honestly admit to that. But she loved how simple her life was in comparison to others. It fit her just right, and she knew that was a hard thing to explain to others. "See but I love training, and I can't see myself loving flirting. I think we all have our own methods that keep us happy, so I just try and remember that when I am doing my own thing." she bobbed her head kindly while smiling at her long lost pal.

"I think I am beginning to understand you're family lifestyle even more, and I respect it. I think strength is a very important thing, and I try to preach it on others myself." She truly wished more mares were concerned with strength, and it was a pity that some just didn't care to defend themselves. She refused to believe that only males could obtain strength. So far she had kicked the butts of plenty of males!

"Well I like having the amount of siblings I have. What about you? Does it bother you or anything?" She couldn't tell from his statement, and she wanted to intrude further on the information. "I think big families are nice, and mine is already huge in the extended family part. But I guess I enjoy being on my own a lot, which may be why I don't see them as much as I should."

She then paused then, and wondered what she truly liked, then. "Hm. Family is a difficult concept, especially when the lineage is unknown. I have yet to meet those I have heard about, and I have yet to search for those I haven't. Ack, see, now I'm getting all deep and philosophical." she giggled then, and swept some hair out of her eyes. "So yeah, family is something alright."
