[This in an RP between Seaki and Randy2Love playing Janja(#9C5209) and Adetokunbo(#38BBFB), respectivly]

Randy2Love:
Adetokunbo prowled his territory with keen eyes. It was well on its way to becoming night and a gentle fog rose up without fail. He liked the fog as it easily concealed him and his lake, protecting it from those around him.

His ears lifted as he listened to the steady rush of the water lapping against the shore. Something was amiss. He gazed around in the shadows, listening until he heard footprints. Someone in his territory? Or was it the same wild dog that voiced he'd destroy the lake if he could.

Reguardless, he wouldn't jump to conclusions. He picked up a red stone and darted into the shadows to find the source of the footsteps. His red eyes reflected the little light there was as he stepped out from the fog and in front of the female in his territory, dropping the stone at his feet. He stared at her, his eyes unwavering, betraying no emotion. It was almost as if he was a spirit of the lake come to greet her from the fog and that's how he liked it.

Seaki:
Janja gave a small yawn and kept walking. She wandered away from her den periodically. She needed to find a good source of food. Her own lake was starting to dry... She hopped it rained in her area soon. Janja had left Uzuri in the den after catching a rabbit for the small pup to feast on if she got hungry. Soon, though, the earth-colored dog would have to rest.

That was when the fog set in. Janja hadn't even been paying attention! Confusion set across her face and she scented the air. Moisture... So it wasn't fire. She thanked the gods that it wasn't. A fire wasn't needed; especially with her den and pup so close by. Fire spread fast, she wouldn't be able to get back to her den in time to get Uzuri and run from it...

Wth a sigh, Janja sat. Her back ached. She wasn't used to hunting for a mouth other than her own. It wasn't too much of a bother, but it was a bit stressful. She hadn't had a real meal in a while. She was nibbling off of the meals she caught for the pup. A sigh.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in the fog. It started the female dog for a moment. She was ready to bolt. That was... Until she realized it was another wild dog... An older male at that. His stare was unnearving. She gazed back at him - looking him dead in the eye. She had a defensive look. She was ready fo fight or run at any moment even though she was stitting.

Randy2Love:
The male did nothing to prove he was agressive, just watched her. After a moment he lowered his head to the ground to deposit the stone. "You have entered my territory," HIs voice was deep, commanding attention even with a gentle tone. "I welcome you too it and my only wish is that you do not harm this lake. " He glanced behind himself then to the female. "Do you wish these waters harm?" He asked, his voice inquisative.

Seaki:
Janja titled her head lightly. She was welcome? "Thank you for letting me enter..." She told the male graciously. She watched him turn his head. It was almost surreal to see all this happening. Afterwords, however, he voiced a question. Did she want to harm the lake? Why would she. "No, I won't harm your lake. Water is a precious source of life..." She answered. She couldn't harm a lake. They brought her food, kept he quenched in the hot sun. No; she could never harm a lake. She pondered for a moment if that was even possible.

Randy2Love:
His tail wagged slightly, almost betraying his image but his face was as emotionless as ever. "You are welcome." Her answer pleased him a great deal. "Yes, that is true. It is the source of all life! The very creatures come from it. I thank you for your kindness." He nosed the stone toward her then looked up at her. "I am Adetokunbo. Guardian of this lake. I wish to aid you in any way I am able."

Seaki:
Janja stared down at the stone for a moment before turning her eyes back to Adetokunbo. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Adetokunbo…” He said airily. She had to look up a bit to see him, but she doing looked to his chest. “I’m called Janja,” she told him. She was curious. Guardian of the lake. “This lake… Why is it in danger?” Janja asked curiously.

Randy2Love:
He bowed his head to her. "Its a pleasure to meet you as well Janja." He responded then looked at her once again. He found her coat color interesting. Red as fire the same as the stone the lake had given him. A sign? 'The lake is no longer in danger since you will not harm it. All water is easily in danger of being harmed. It is my duty to ensure none of them are ever harmed once again with the poison water."

Seaki:
"Poison water..." Janja mumbled, questioning aloud. "How could someone do such a thing?" The vixen looked down at the stone again. "This stone... where's if from?" She asked. She reached a hesitant paw toward the stone, but didn't touch it.

Randy2Love:
"I do not know but it killed my family and I will not let another come to harm from it." He gazes down at the stone and noses it toward her. "The lake. It gifts it to you as thanks for your kindness."

Seaki:
"That's horrible," Janja mumbled, more to herself than to him. She stared at the stone as it was pushed closer to her. "A gift? From the Lake?" a dark nose leaned in the push the rock lightly. It was so smooth. She'd touched something as smooth as that stone.

Randy2Love:
"It was... but I am here to protect lakes from danger." He stared up at her then wagged his tail when she touched it. "Yes, they wash up on shore for me to give to those who arrive."

Seaki:
A nod. That was true. Adetokunbo would protect this lake well, she figured. "The shore must be beautiful," Janja commented, lightly. She absentmindedly shifted the stone around. She let her gaze back to Adetokunbo.

Randy2Love:
He lifted his head and nodded. "Would you care to see it?" He questioned standing and turning around without an answer. He glanced back at her his eyes expectant.

Seaki:
Janja lifted her head as well after he asked the question. Her eyes sparkled with excitement at the prospect of being able to see the lake. "I'd love to," she said with an attempt to keep the joy out of her voice.

Randy2Love:
He nodded to her and started his way through the light mist. He carried on, never glancing back, knowing where each and every stone was on the ground. His paws never seemed to make a sound until he finally reached the shore where there was a small splash as he set his paws down in the water. It was a fairly vast lake, the water reflecting the sky so that it almost looked as if the water was an exact replica of the stary night. He finally glanced over to Janja. "This is it."

Seaki:
It was hard to navigate through the fog to follow the blue dog. He scent served it's purpose, however; but only in some cases. Janja stumbled over some rocks and thick shoots of grass before they arrived at the lake. The sight was breathtaking. The inky black surface was dotted in white spot... Janja's head lifted higher as she looked at the sky. She smiled.

Randy2Love:
The male watched her smile then looked up himself. "You are welcome here. This lake and its surroundings are happy to have you here. So long as you do no harm you may enter anytime you please."

Seaki:
Thank you," the female told Adeto with a smile. She gave a lightly boy in respect. "For allowing me to return to your lake."

Randy2Love:
He gazed over at her and gave a nod. Though he seemed friendly his eyes were still cold and guarding his emtions. He never betrayed them it seemed. "You are welcome. You may also remain here tonight if you must. I have interupted your travel. May I ask what you were doing here?"

Seaki:
Janja looked away from the sky, finally, to gaze at tri-colored dog before her. She stared a bit curiously. "My travels... I was simply wandering in this direction today I suppose. My den is in the direction I came from..." She gestured in the general direction.

Randy2Love:
"Den?" He questioned tilting his head. "Why are you traveling this way?" He asked sitting down on the grass, keeping his front paws in the water

Seaki:
"Oh, no reason really. I just decided to travel this way today. Hunting, you know..." Janja said. It wasn't really odd for her to travel away from her den for a day or so. Now that she was taking care of Uzuri though... It was strange. She wasn't used to it.

Randy2Love:
He watched her as if the idea of traveling far from was strange. Yet he made no comment on it. Instead he asked, "Did you get anything in your hunt? Or were you going off to hunt when I distracted you?"

Seaki:
"I managed a hare before I started in this direction. I came this way to check for bigger game, just to check though. I couldn't possibly move my den. I'm too attached to it..." Janja commented lightly. "Plus, I don't think I've ever traveled in this direction."
PostPosted: Sun Nov 09, 2008 11:49 am

Randy2Love:
The male pushed himself up. "A hare? Surely that's hardly enough." He lifted his head and his ears, scanning the darkness. "There is big game here. They come and drink at the lake. There are also fish in this lake. Well if you ever need something to eat, come find me. I can aid you. Protecting the lake means protecting all creatures." He bowed to her then looked up into her eyes.

Seaki:
"Oh... I didn't eat it. I left if for the little one at my den..." She knew she hadn't been eating much herself. Her motherly instincts kicked in once she adopted the small pup. However, the small female took the duty too seriously... Her eyes twinkled in a strange manner; a mix of emotions. "I've never tried fish before," she commented, almost hesitantly.

Randy2Love:
"A little one? Are you a mother?" He asked curiously then chuckled. He gazed down at the water then to her. "If you return tomorrow when the sun is high and I will teach you how to fish."

Seaki:
"Not really... I've adopted a little one, though. She was wandering around starving... Poor dear..." Janja gave a sad smile before her eyes sparkled in anticipation. She nodded. "I shall return tomorrow than..."
