Pantherbear is right. The "surgeon's photo" shown in the first post has been proven to be a fake, but lots of people have seen something in the loch.
I also would like to believe that there are still things out there that we have not yet discovered.

Cool, yea The Loch ness Monster is a huge mystery! xD Some pictures of "it" has been proved as fakes, probably just people trying to get money from people who would want those rare pics.
Here is some info from From Wikipedia,
Name: Loch Ness Monster
Country: Scotland Region: Loch Ness Habitat: Water Status: Unconfirmed The Loch Ness Monster (Nessiteras rhombopteryx) is an alleged animal, family and upward incertae sedis, purportedly inhabiting Scotland's Loch Ness. The Loch Ness Monster is one of the best-known cryptids studied by cryptozoology. Popular belief and interest in the animal has fluctuated over the years since it came to the world's attention in 1933. Evidence of its existence is largely anecdotal, with minimal, and much disputed, photographic material and sonar readings: there has not been any physical evidence (skeletal remains, capture of a live animal, definitive tissue samples or spoor) uncovered as of 2008. Local people, and later many around the world, have affectionately referred to the animal by the diminutive Nessie (Scottish Gaelic: Niseag) since the 1950s.

The Coelacanth was thought to be an extinct species of fish, has proven to be very much alive. A lot of other animals date from the time of dinosaurs that we have around today mainly alligators, their relatives crocodiles and caymen. There are turtles, sharks and others. We have explored only so much of the worlds ocean, so the possibility is out there, it is not strong but is there. Even in this day and age we still find new animals. A quote from the WWF (World Wildlife Fund)site 26 Sep 2007 - Hanoi, Vietnam – Scientists have discovered 11 new species of animals and plants in a remote area in central Vietnam. Is one of the new snakes they found. It is called the white-lipped keelback.

This is the info I gathered on Wikipedia.
There are approximately 28,000 species of fish. There are approximately 10,000 species of birds. There are approximately 7,900 species of reptiles. There are approximately 6,100 species of amphibians. There are approximately 5,400 species of mammals. Estimate indicates that arthropods have over a million described species, and account for over 80% of all known living species.

First, turn off the caps lock. Now, I don't believe in all those pictures of Nessie, but I do believe there is more out there than we can imagine. Like dinosaurs and aliens. I've actually been to Loch Ness. (The lake) :3 But we didn't see anything suspicious.

I have a book somewhere with a photo of a Japanese fishing boat pulling up the rotting carcass of whatever dinosaur Nessie probably is in the 60'. That one was suppousedly real, but it was the ocean, not a little loch. IDK, the ocean is very far from explored, and old aquatic dinosaurs still living is very possible.

There was a show on the sci-fi channel called, "Destination Truth" that was about uncovering a number of mysterious-creature myths. Destination Truth from sci-fi.comFrom the research done on the lake on the Loch, it is VERY possible that some type of giant creature could live in the depths without being caught on film. (in my opinion, I bet that it is shy and has great hearing.) This show also tried to uncover a primate that is between human and ape called the orang pendec, and they found a footprint of it. Also, if you like learning about aliens and other out-there subjects, you should check out and join this guild: "The Coast to Coast AM Guild" is dedicated to the Coast to Coast AM Radio show, and is 100% about paranormal subjects, the radio show itself is on around 1am on national radio, but there are links available on the guild to direct people to online recordings of the radio show. I hope that info helps! P.S. I'm a sci-fi addict, and love talking about the "unexplained" PM me if you need someone to talk to about paranormal stuff. biggrin
