true but some industrial metal/rock is decent IMO,, which poses the question have you heard decent metal breakdowns in songs where the song is actually broken down in tempo and it sounds good-

Satyricon's new single has one, Abomination Reborn by Suffocation has one, and Crimson Moonlight's song Intimations of an Everlasting
Constancy has one too.
