OMG OMG OMG!!! xD I can't believe it. I was watching in the student center at my university and my channel was late so it just said that he was projected to win. Upstairs people were already screaming and crying every thing and I was like 'um projecting isn't the same as winning" I went back to the tv and lo and behold, he won. It's so great.

I'm going to quote Michelle and say this is the first time I've been proud of the USA!!!! I'm so proud to be black and to be an american! Some of the McCain people around here been acting alittle salty but that makes it even better.

I got to my voting place at about 6:30 am and the line was in the back of the building, I didn't care though! I waited and felt so happy to vote in my first election. Then I over slept and was late for work, but it was worth it!

^Agreed. But we can't put all the pressure on him: the senate and hop have to work together with him.
I was working when he was sworn in. I missed it. sad

I saw it! It was awesome! I'm sure you can catch it online somewhere. 3nodding
I was kind of upset that the Oath of Office was butchered a bit. I guess the Chief Justice said some of the words in the wrong order. xp
The benediction at the end was probably my second favorite part (Obama's speech was my favorite). whee

Rev. Joseph Lowery Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around ... when yellow will be mellow ... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. biggrin Love it!!
