I write these columns weeks, sometimes months, in advance. Given the importance of the approaching election, it is a challenge to write anything meaningful ahead of time. I believe that this election day will produce many changes, even shocks, to the entire system of the country. It could leave us with an unclear President Elect. Pluto, planet of metamorphosis, is moving into Capricorn (sign of governments and corporations) firmly in December. This planet has a reputation for exposure of toxins in any system. This country may have so many polluted layers that it could take several years to find them all. My deepest hope is that we will stop shooting at each other, take the best our experience can offer and find clean ways to leave the dross behind.
Aries (Mar. 20--Apr. 19):
Take a slow, deep breath. You have been working intensely in the past few months. This is one week you do not have to hurry as much or beat the bushes to make things happen. Whatever was going to happen for you personally is pretty well done and next week you move toward a new focus of attention.
Taurus (Apr. 20--May 19):
Your intuition is particularly strong at this time and dreams may be especially meaningful. For those who are single, a romantic evening is possible. Keep things light and playful for now. Relax and take a break. You may be the recipient of a small gift. Change is imminent.
Gemini (May 20 -- June 20)
Take up whatever activities you need on a daily basis to resolve or prevent health problems. You may feel a compulsion to clean up files, closets, or other areas of your daily workspace. It is one way of organizing your mind. Concerns about family, financial, or career circumstances may be rattling your bones..
Cancer (June 21--July 21):
You may feel out of sorts this week. Your feelings are in conflict with your ideal self and your values. You want to put your best foot forward, but circumstances do not feel quite right. If the conflict is deep, it is usually best to wait and not yield to whatever pressuring things are around you.
Leo (July 22 --Aug. 21)
This is a good week to take up a home project. Organizing and cleaning the closets, the garage, or dark corners in the basement are options that would be rewarding. Cooperation from family members or others is likely. Romance and play are also on the agenda.
Virgo (Aug. 22--Sep. 22):
Political circumstances just might have things reeling for you at this time. Whether it is your family or your career affected, you are concentrating on pulling your thoughts together in order to make the best of the situation. If you can do so, carve out a quiet space for yourself to breathe, think and prioritize.
Libra (Sep. 23--Oct. 22):
Your relationship with another is becoming deeper and more intimate. You may be sharing important feelings at this time. If you have no need for deeper sharing, then this period brings a sense of romance and playful fun. It may be nearing time to close the door on a relationship.
Scorpio (Oct. 23--Nov. 21):
You have been making significant decisions since last summer. You know you are creating a new design and stage for yourself but it isn't altogether clear what it will look like yet. Currently you are finishing small details that will help you clear the decks for the future.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22--Dec. 20):
An angel is on your shoulder or in the background this week with practical solutions to career issues. You may be given a tip or other information that can help you move ahead financially. Perhaps this behind-the-scenes information comes through an intuitive hit, a mild lightning bolt.
Capricorn ( Dec 21 -- Jan 19):
A friend or business associate may have a clue that can assist you forward on this "stuck" place. Consult someone of integrity about the dilemma. A look at it from another who has a fresh perspective might help. If the "rules" are the problem, maybe someone behind the scenes knows how to get around it.
Aquarius (Jan. 20--Feb. 17):
You and your partner or immediate superior may not be getting along well this week. Both of you carry strong opinions and this may be agitating to the relationship right now. No one is going to persuade the other to change his mind, so you probably need to call a truce and agree to disagree for the present.
Pisces (Feb. 18--Mar. 19):
Activities involving people at a distance, the law, the internet, and/or traveling are favored during this week. Even though your normal business life is in the doldrums, if you focus on these activities, there will be improvements. Not everything is underwater, though sometimes it may look that way these days.
