Moray had been in extreme pain all night long, nestled quietly beside Nadra as her unease intensified as the stars shined down-until it was to the point where she had to stand up and pace for a bit... trying to not wake up Nadra. She had walked back and forth fora good length of time-before she nestled herself down and kneaded the ground for a bit; trying to get the pain to go away.
She moaned quietly, knowing that these pains were normal for all mothers giving birth-but did they have to hurt so badly... she found herself burying her face into her paws, keeping her teeth tightly shut to keep her pain from being loud. It was to hard to not cry out finally-and she squeeked in agony.

Nadra couldn’t sleep, she rarely let her eyes shut for too long any ways, but now that her new mate was due to give birth any minute she simply shut her eyes to rest her mind and body. The breathing of her mate was slightly worrying, she had never been around another female as they gave birth and in some ways she simply wanted to run away. Opening her eyes as Moray stood and began to pace she simply watched from half lidded eyes, then as Moray laid on the ground she quickly stood and jogged over to her mate. Quickly she laid down too and nuzzled against her.
Her voice was soothing and warm as she spoke, ”You can’t keep yourself silent baby girl… It’s alright to let your pain be heard.” She smiled, ”Be proud, we’re about to be mothers… let the world know.” She rubbed against her mate once more; she began to purr in attempt to give Moray a comforting sound to listen besides her own squeeks of agony.

Moray gazed up at Nadra, the most beautiful female in her world and smiled. For she was glad this was happening-everything about this moment was perfect-except the pain. No longer was she worried about going home to a pride that may not accept her but she was here-with Nadra. Soon, they would have a world to share-cubs to take care of and a life to live.
"Yes... you are right." She stuttered, shutting her eyes and letting her pain be known to the world.
Soon, her cries of agony were awnsered, as a small child came to the world.

A son, a child of two species-a bit diffrent but regardless, Moray began her motherly duties and cleaned the first born boy.

She lay marveling at the sweet splendid child at her side, amazed and so torn by all this. A son, they had a little boy. Her thoughts from being a kunanda female-lowest ranks were the males-were pushed away, for now she had a new life and this son would be equal to all their children. She nuzzled him, smiling and cooing.
"My son, Thuto." She said, naming him something similar to his father-though she would never mention him to the children. Moray and Nadra were the only parents.
Soon, another contraction and a second son was born.

A second boy, as pale as his mother and this pleased Moray... She snuggled him next to his brother.

She gazed at her two boys and dreamed of when they would play together in harmony and she would watch them. She was particually pleased with thier coloring, since that part of her life would never leave her-the love of bright colors. She smiled to her sons.
"Zoran." She whispered to the pale moon child. She purred their names over and over. "Thuto. Zoran. Thuto. " She cooed.
Soon, another child was braught into the world.

A female... a dark little girl. Something inside her clicked and she could see resemblance of her cousin's... dark with yellow and this also pleased her. She snuggled the little dark child against her sons and rejoiced.

Moray felt happiness and understood why there were so many mothers out there-giving birth. The joy of creating something from two things was great... and she was creating a family for her and Nadra to care for. She swooned, leaning into whisper her first daugthers name to her.
"Avani" She said softly and sweetly, her pink tongue washing over the contrasting dark fur. She didn't care if her daughter was dark as the sky... she was as beautiful to her as a morning sun. She felt another contraction-and was relieved to see another girl.

A startling green. She had to take a few breaths to gain her strength; but the cubs were finally here...
"Aucuba." She sang sweetly to her children.

Nadra Zuri watched the girl give birth to four beautiful children. Simply enough she comforted her mate with a loving embrace and continually cleaned her face and ears; as soon as she was done she quickly pranced to the mouth of the den and looked over the barren lands; it was about to rain… Looking up with a satisfied smile pressed across her lips she sighed happily as he quickly turned back to her mate, nodding she spoke sweetly, ”I’m going to find you something to nibble on, it’ll give you and your children time to bond.” Turning away she darted out from the cave and into the dry grasses.
This was her chance…
Stopping beside a nearby dried up river bank she realized that she now had responsibilities, and all of a sudden. Looking back to the small den she could just barely make out Maray’s small form, Nadra could run away, there wasn’t anything more she needed to do. Moray was safe and dry, and her babies where all in good health. Looking out at the vast space ahead of her she listened and smelt the air…
For a moment the air was still, and there was no scent crossing her nose, but then, a small breeze pushed against her back, and with that breeze carried the scent of Moray, she turned back towards the den and just as she did so, a gust of wind pushed against her towards the den. Closing her eyes to block the dust, shebraced herself, and just as soon as the gust came it left, but Morays’ scent still remained. Opening her eyes she looked back up at the small girl… and a tear threatened to fall out of her right eye.
She was home… Nadra Zuri had finally home. Not a place, or a thing, but in a person. A young and beautiful woman, it was perfect… it was nothing that she had ever imagined.
A home that she could safely wander with, Moray was her little Huis Toe (African for Home).
MOMENTS LATER:
It only took her a matter of minutes before she found some frogs buried below the surface of the mud where they attempted to hide themselves, however she could pick up on their scent but simply walking on the mud pushing the space that they hid in below the mud where their scent would squeeze out and into the air. Digging them up and quickly snapping her jaw over their tiny skulls it was nothing more than a chore collecting a muzzle full of dangly toads.
Prancing up to the den once again she stood and marved at her Huis Toe, within a moment she pranced over to her yet again and plopped the toads at her side. Swooning she layed down next to her mate, ”I love my… Huis Toe.” Nuzzling into her side she began to purr deeply…

Moray stared down and grinned at her two boys and two girls and thought her heart would explode from all the feelings inside it. She gazed over and watched the white-pristine lioness leave the den. Moray was glad that she had never sought the company and compansionship of a male... Nadra was the best thing that ever happened to her-and it was worth it... leaving the pride... leaving her mother-a small pain formed in her chest. She nuzzled one of her pale sons to hide her sorrow. She had told her mother she would return-but she would not.
Maybe someday, to bring a child or two to see their grandmother-but she wasn't sure if the queens would accept that. She felt small tears of saddness escaping her-though this was a time of great joy for her-her emotions ran like a million grasshoppers-in all directions.
She lifted her head, snuffling a little as Nadra returned with her cache. She didn't eat from them yet. She looked to the white lioness. 'They are yours too Nadra. These are our children. These are your sons and your daughters. They may not be lions like us-because their father is a leopard but... they are ours and he will never see them again." She said sternly.

Nadra, in reality didn’t know what to feel. She was never put into a place where children where even a part of the picture! This was a completely unfamiliar scenario in which she still didn’t believe was true. She knew this much; Moray was pregnant, she needed help and they were now living in a temporary den Nadra had found among her recent travels, but these squirming little… lion hybrids where of another story completely. Her bright red eyes scanned them carefully, still dumbfounded she kept that portion of her thoughts hidden from her lover; behind a warm and loving smile.
If that time ever came, the time where Moray would be led by a type of guilt to where she felt as though her mother would need to see her children, Nadra would attempt to avert her in another direction rather than committing suicide and walking into the clutches of that horrid and prude pride. Out of all the prides she had associated herself with, that one had made her curious as to why these lions and lione’s would want to live that way. She had forgotten that part of her past; to add a little humor to the situation, Nadra had forgotten where she had even met Moray, all that she knew was that she had met the precious lioness when she was only a mere kitten, and even then the small lioness had stolen her heart.
Those little eyes, Nadra rubbed against Moray a second time and purred deeply, and then pulled away, ”I will never eat before you baby.” Her voice smooth and warm. Looking to the children a second time she smiled, as slowly she began to realize what it was she was looking at… these squirming beings would be her new life now. Looking back to Moray she smiled sweetly, ”Each of them…” She paused and looked to the babies yet again, ”Are each a star fallen from the sky” She quickly dropped to a crouch, ”A gentle kiss from the heavens.” Looking back up to Moray she finished, ”Gentle kisses…” Pausing she reached out and bumped her nose against Morays, then pulled away slightly, ”Never again will you starve for love.”

Moray could not be more proud of her little brood. She looked up to Nadra. Reverse to Nadra's worries-Moray would never go back. Now that she had left-she was forever forbidden from returning. She knew her mother would guess such lovely things whether or not they were true. That was enough for Moray to hope for and perhaps, her Mother had another litter of babies to worry about. She then looked down to their babies and bent to give them all lovely little kisses. "Oh Nadra... They are so beautiful!" She wriggled slightly, her toes flexing in her glee. Her dreams were coming true. She looked back up to her pristine lioness mate and beamed. "They are everything I ever dreamed of."
She pressed her nose back against her lovers. "I have you and I have a family... I am forever content with just that..." She said, looking down to her little babies. "Though I hear of a place where babies that aren't all-lions and stuff... can go and be accepted... Perhaps someday... when they are big enough... we will go there so they can be safe." She said thoughtfully.
The little peach boy protested at this outrage that was life. He curled into a ball against his mothers warmth and shut his eyes tightly. He would open them last-in protest against the light that he was not used too. In his dark little world-he as content but not here. Here, there were things he was unfamiliar with.

The bright green girl whom stood out even amongst her siblings and especially against her mother wriggled strongly, her small frame finding it's way to her mothers side and searching for that life giving first drink she latched on and began to suckle. little pleased noises floated from her form as she drank that most important first meal.
She didn't know what would come, what had been or even what the next moment would bring but she was comfortable worm and sated, what more could a baby want?
