Rules and Regulations For Role Playing In The Thread
1. No role playing other user's characters without permission.
2. Listen to your guild captain/leader and the other crew members.
3. Be polite and courteous to all guild members. (This means you must be polite and courteous toward all roleplayers. However, this does not mean that your character may not disrespect other characters.)
4. All character profiles must be listed in the area provided before the character can enter the roleplay.
5. Romance is allowed, but if it gets to the point where you'll be banned then take it to the PMs. So don't go over rated PG-13.
6. No god moding/invincibility (Don't abuse the move recover). Also, rest requires you to fall asleep for at least one turn after you've healed yourself.
7. Try to refrain from swearing.
8. No killing human characters and especially no killing Pokemon. Pokemon are supposed to die of old age or illness. Pokemon will simply faint in any other case.
9. Only members of Team Rocket may steal Pokemon. No stealing Pokemon without the roleplayer's permission.
10. Do not post sexual pictures or sexual videos.
11. Read all guild announcements.
12. You don't have to create a Pokemon trainer. You may be a Pokemon breeder, nurse, officer, etc. You may choose your own occupation.
13. If you want to be an elite Pokemon trainer or gym leader, you must receive permission from the creator of the roleplay (Me).
14. No speaking in computer talk while role playing. Example 1: *Wolf LOL while next 2 a rock.* Example 2: "I heart U"
15. Please insert proper basic punctuation where it belongs and use capital letters where they are necessary. Try to spell the words in your writing out as accurately as you can. Do not use run-on sentences. (This is a roleplaying thread in which roleplayers write out their characters actions, reactions, and interactions. You're writing needs to be easy to read so that others won't become confused. Proper spelling, punctuation and grammar supports convenient roleplaying).
16. Beginning trainers must start off with a Pokemon that is at its first evolutionary stage. Example: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmader, Rhyhorn, Caterpie, Pichu, Jigglypuff.
17. Custom Pokemon may not evolve more than twice. This means your custom Pokemon may not have more than 3 stages.
18. Once your Pokemon has evolved, you can make it go back to it's previous form like Digimon. This is Pokemon, not Digimon. No Digivices, Digimon, digivolving, etc. Pokemon stuff only!
19. If your Pokemon evolves using a type of stone, you must go on an adventure and search for the stone before you can get one. You may not buy an evolution stone from the store or a friend.
20. If you're Pokemon evolves through trading, the trainer you traded your Pokemon with, doesn't have to trade you back and return that Pokemon after it's evolved. If they want to do "tradebacks", it's up to them.
21. You can't capture humans with Pokeballs, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, Master Balls, etc.
22. In this roleplay, TMs and HMs, can be bought at the store. No one drops them in the middle of the ground like a naive child who doesn't recognize their value.
23. Once you've used up the TM and HM, the TM and HM cannot be learned again.
24. All of your Pokemon can't use HM moves. Only one Pokemon may learn surf, whirlpool, fly, etc. You also can't teach an HM to a Pokemon that shouldn't be able to learn it. Example: You better not teach fly to Geodude, because he can only hover, not fly! Example 2: You better not teach surf to a Pidget, because it's not a water bird and it doesn't have any fins or flippers.
25. You may only carry six Pokemon with you at a time.
Character Battle Rules: To make role play battles fair, you must abide by these rules:
1. Allow your opponent to land his/her close distance attacks if you are too close to properly defend yourself, too slow or too tired to dodge their attack or counter their attack.
2. You must receive damage for every attack that hits you, unless you are invulnerable to that type of attack. If not, you must recieve damage when you are hit.
3. Every attack is capable of being countered or dodged to a certain extent with a limit (unless you're using moves that have 100% accuracy), but make sure you only counter or dodge attacks when it's within your character's ability. (No character is a perfect fighter, super accurate, nor invincible, so don't cheat and dodge or counter every attack or claim to never receive damage.)
4. Don't assume that every attack will land on it's target, allow your opponent to choose whether or not your attack lands if the attack's outcome is questionable.
5. Do not read your opponent's character's profile before you fight them or while you're fighting them and role play your character as if he/she already knows the other character's abilities, powers, and secrets. If you are going to read their profiles, make sure it's because you want to understand some information about them for proper interaction purposes, like knowing how much damange your character will take from their attacks, or how far you should fly after they hit you with their best attack, or something like whether or not their magic powers will electricute you, put you to sleep, or paralyze you, etc. Don't read their profile for battle strategy advantage.
6. Do not ignore attacks and pretend that the person never hit you. If someone hit you, you must react to the hit, receive appropriate damage and make it understandable that your character were hit.
7. No overpowered Pokemon, like Mewtwo, without permission. You must also receive permission for every single overpowered Pokemon you create, not just the first one you make.
