The best ones are expensive. But many people can make a good outfit from what they have. I used to have a totaly kvlt viking avatar out of about 7k. But Im happy with what I have right now because I get tons of pms daily about my hair.

"Bah, who cares if its expensive or not, really you should be concentrating on forums and such. I mean eventually you'll have alot of gold if you post alot and really it isn't that hard."

Once you post enough you can do pretty much anything you want, buying in the market helps a lot too...

It seems kind of silly to be pent up on expenses on a computer thats a game. Like it helps you learn how to manage your money (which I suck at) and its for fun. Not to mention it helps with social skills... kinda

I never claimed, at any point in my life, to have one.
I used to complain about the prices on Gaia, but then I realized that I could collect fish, sell the clothes I don't wear anymore at the marketplace (ok, so the dealer's liscense costs 1,000 gold. It's not too much if you don't spend gold as soon as you get it) and since there's really not a point to having a home, I don't keep one.
I never buy in the stores anymore. I always buy at the Marketplace. It's always about 100 gold cheaper and that adds up really quickly.
A kick a** avatar is not everything, though. People will take you more seriously if you are eloquent and well-spoken and completely nakie than if you are well dressed and are a jerk to everyone.

in realy life i would never buy extremely expensive clothes so i avoid them on here too. i find consumerism a sad part of life but i will not shun it. i do like some of the clothes but i cant really find clothexs like i wear in real life.

People say my clothes irl are expensive((although it doesn't faze me..)). Last week I bought a trench for $72, a corset for $38 and a skirt for around the same price at the corset... My pants cost $50. sweatdrop

I think the clothes on Gaia are a bit expensive yes, people just have to keep posting and doing other things to get what they want, whether it is the cheapest thing, or the most expensive item..
