It was indeed a shame she hadn't been able to find Althalus to make amends, so with a heavy heart the pale mare returned once more. Would the family be able to forgive her blindness? Would she be able to repair any damage done? The least she could do is make an appearance and apologize. It was the most sensible course.
Funny how everything appeared in a more logical light compared to a year ago. She had grown up finally, but she still had so much more to learn. She was still a yearling with very little knowledge of the world around her. No matter how this visit went, she was still to continue her journey to learn anything and everything she could. Ambroise had been a great influence on her life, so what better place to start than within his very herd? But who?
It would have to be worried about at a later time as the familiar tree came into view. She saw a small russet filly with pale wings bounding around before spotting the taller mare and galloping away to seek out their mother. Well, her worry that her father left wingless with her mother finally abated as the flaxen stump disappeared from sight. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that she had other siblings about the grounds, new minds to teach whatever she would learn from her journeys.
Vidia peered into the curtain of the willow tree, spotting the feathers as she waited for her mother to find her.

"Etsi! Etsi! Theresa-tall-mare't-looks-like-Doda'n'Dihi! She'as the family feathers and everything! Etsi! Etsi!" That was the racket that caused the birds to fly from their trees and the chestnut mare to move quickly over to her daughter, trying her best to decipher just what Tsis'Newadi was saying. She couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as she nuzzled the filly. "I understood my name, your father's, and your sister's in all that garble. Slow down and tell me again," she said calmly with a smile.
She watched as 'Adi stretched out her red tipped wings, rustling them like some agitated bird. "Ah said that Vidia's back!" It took a few minutes for the words to finally sink into Ever's mind. She just stared blankly at her daughter--who was smiling all the while like some sort of ragamuffin. "Are you sure?""Oy, Etsi, why don't ye go 'n see fer yerself." She didn't even realize her hooves were carrying her towards the family tree with her youngest tailing behind her to see the reaction. At first, she didn't see her second-born among the leaves of the willow, but the younger mare stepped out with a smile still on her lips. Ever couldn't contain herself and bolted over to her daughter, running her muzzle against the other's pale fur to make sure she was real and not some figment of her imagination.

Well, this wasn't the reaction Vidia had been anticipating, but was welcome to it all the same. She moved her head over her mother's neck in a horse like hug and comfort. She could feel the tears beginning to collect and pulled back from her mother with a rather watery smile. "Sorry to have kept you waiting so long, mother."
Her attention was drawn once more to her younger sister. She was indeed a spitting image of their mother except for the tattoos and her wings. They had the markings of her father. "And you must be one of my younger siblings," she said, lowering her head to be level with the filly.

Tsis'Newadi was more than happy to step in front of their mother, a very proud grin on her face. "Aye, Ah be Tsis'Newadi. Newadi'Woyi 'as wings, but Tsis'Dihi looks ahlot like ye." She gave a final nod before turning in a full circle with wings wide, showing herself off to her older sister.
"Better late than never, child," Ever said with a weak smile. She didn't know where to begin, whether to question what had happened or just remain silent and accept that her daughter was home. But Vidia had a look about her that the stay wouldn't be for very long. "When do you journey back out?" "Oy, ye can't leave when ye just got 'ere. Ye've got to meet t'e rest of t'e 'erd."

"Scarlet Sky in father's tongue. And it seems you have his dialect as well, meaning he's around more?" She nodded in approval to her sister, yes the spitting image of their mother with the influence of their father, a wonderful combination in a single filly. But it disheartened her to hear that both children that took after their father weren't graced with wings.
She chuckled at her mother's question. Nothing ever got passed Ever Sacrifice it seemed. "In a fortnight. It'll give me time to...did you say herd? So that's what is keeping father home more. He has responsibility."

"Don't talk down about your father like that," she said with a stomp of her hoof. Not exactly the best way to start over, but it seemed her daughter still had issues to fight. "Aye, Doda is really great! 'e's been teach us 'ow te fly! When 'e's not off checking t'e woods."
"Vidia, you should speak with your father before you leave again." She hoped the two would make amends, but her daughter could sometimes be so stubborn with her ideas.

She gave a shake of her head and a step back away from both her mother and sister. "It'd be best if I didn't, since there's so much more I need to sort out with myself." She gave a smile. "Besides, I can teach my sisters a few things when father is busy."

Ever let out a sigh. No happy ending, but life rarely gives one. "Yes, I could use some help with the girls." She gave a very pointed look to the youngest, who seemed to have gone off on one of her adventures in her head. Tsis'Newadi appeared to be weaving back and forth, her wings spread out, pretending to fly through the air.
"Let's go back to Evening, everyone." She grabbed a mouthful of 'Adi's tail, giving a tug and a nudge in the right direction.
