" C'mon Nickle you're so slow, he's gonna get bored waiting for me and then he'll be too mad to answer any questions" Mareike huffed and tugged hard on the hand that held her father's " Walk faster."

Nickle sighed and wondered what exactly his daughter could possibly want to ask a demon that had no real place in her life. Perhaps it was like adopted children finding their real parents, she was just curious in general.

Either way the man lengthened his stride and walked with her through the doors of the facility and towards the spot they were supposed to meet someone at. It was fortunate he thought spotting the guide that someone was already waiting there or the unfortunate tech who'd been later than them would have had a lot to answer for to Mareike.

When they reached the tech Mareike smiled a genuine pretty smile " Can we go now?." Apparently her smile might look innocent but her voice was still laced with poison and agitation.

Mareike snarled at the mentioning of the boss. She hated that man, hated how he was imprisoning Adriel for something he couldn't control, even if it was a bit dangerous to other it wasn't his fault.

To be honest Mareike wasn't really at all fond of the place that had brought her to life. Still Nickle had to bring her here becuase of
some rules. That and the fact that Mareike did want to see the two really responsible for making her what she was, real angels and demons. Therefore she had to be here but she didn't have to like it or him. Even if he had tried to be a bit nice at the end.

Nickle looked at his daughter confused for a moment before sighing. Authority was never her friend. He'd learned that even amongst the group at the society she was having trouble accepting her place, though a small part of him chalked that up to a natural attempt to raise
oneself''s placement in the pecking order. Still at something around eight years old she really should have a better ability to respect those who's power in one way or another outmatched hers. It was a wonder she responded to him or Penny at all. Then again they'd been working on that at home.

Grabbing her hand he walked her through the opening " You will behave and act like a young lady." Vaguely he wondered of the presence of the Demon himself would affect Mareike's behavior. He hadn't though of that before. Perhaps it was that and not an inexplicable hate for this man that was making her edgy.

Mareike just glared and closed her wings tightly about her body in a protective manner. She had nothing to say to this man, well nothing she was going to say in front of Nickle anyways.

Nickle shook the mans hand and returned the smile " Thank you and yes actually. Will Shar's presence affect Mareike in any way." he wanted to be prepared if she was about to suddenly shift moods from irritated to fullblown anger.

Nickle was nervous, while the Demon couldn't possibly get out and hurt Mareike he doubted it was a good thing that Shar was territorial. Mareike had her own opinions about boundaries and when to cross them." Shouldn't he have sores" Nickle asked staring at the restraints. " Or is it some sort of magic that prevents that?" He supposed it would have to be considering that the demon a apparently spent all his time like this.

Mareike ignored Nickle and the boss outright though she tucked her wings tightly to her back at the first sign of aggression from Shar. Part Wrath or not there was some semblance of self preservation that was currently active and that said hide your weakspot.

Still, the little girl locked eyes with Shar, she wanted answers. " Hi, How'd they catch you and how are you supposed to have sex locked up like that?" At the approximate age of eight Mareike was vaguely aware of where children came from and that was sex, but sex didn't happen while you were chained like a bad dog. It just didn't make sense.

Nickle choked and stared at the floor.

" Oh, I see" was all Nickle could say. Perhaps not all he wanted to but really " that seems cruel" or" shouldn't you find a better way' were probably not things their guide wanted to hear or would listen to. Still it was a bit disconcerting to know that they seemed to be ok with treating another living thinking being that way. Vaguely he wondered if any of the time Mareike had spent here before he'd received her had been spent in chains.

Mareike shivered at the intensity with which Shar watched her. There was something powerful in his gaze, in the energy he just seemed to project. If she had to choose between him and the Boss she'd choose him as a more trusted option. Provided she wasn't within arms length becuase she had heard that comment about being territorials.

Her single golden eyes slid to glare at the man who seemed to be her eternal source of frustration while her main ones remained on Shar. " You can't be nice at all can you. You can't let anybody be free or happy becuase you're" she paused trying to think of a word something o summon up the rage that was flooding through her.

" Mareike" Nickle cautioned not really wanting to watch a confrontation right now, especially so close to a full blooded demon who he was quite certain would get a a kick out of any fighting going on.

" He's evil" the maroon skinned girl hissed switching her main focus to vampy and her single eye to just watching Shar. " You're evil and I hate you and I hope my father eats you." Anger plus irrationality lead to petty childish insults and threats , though to Mareike she felt she'd gotten her point across.

Mareike tried to puzzle out some logic. Technically if Shar wasn't here he wouldn't have killed anyone, but if he wasn't here then she wouldn't be here and all in all there was a damned strong survival instinct in the girl that said her right to life came before his right to freedom. Still she looked at her father demon and sighed " Can I visit you again? I'll bring cake." penny made great cakes and really sugar cured all ills and calmed the worst fits she'd ever had.

" Fine but I don"t wanna have to keep coming down with you." Mareike said with a small amount of venom, she felt safer insulting him than Shar. Turning to her biological father she waved " I'll be back and with cake, I promise."

Nickle sighed and sent the silver haired man an apologetic look. "She's actually been behaving pretty well until today." That said the man waited to be lead back to safety.
