my friends birthday is on the 7th, and i have no idea what to get her!
she is into photography, and shes in my art class, so i was thinking of drawing a picture of her favorite band or something, but im afraid that may be cheap, so i don't know what to do!
any ideas?

Drawing a picture for them would be nice. As long as it's on decent quality paper, or it's framed or matted, then it won't look cheap.

Movies tend to work nicely. That and hats. Practical and stylish! Hell, bake her a batch of cookies! She'll love that!
