The "What Rings are YOU using, and why?" thread... This thread is for people to post up the rings that they are currently using, and maybe explain why they are using them. Questions about the usability of certain rings are also welcome as we all figure out what is handy, what is awesome, and what is junk. rolleyes So post away!

Rings I'm currently using...
* Mantis (good general fast-attack) * Dervish (awesome close-combat area attack) * Shuriken (moderate ranged attack) * Ghost (good personal dodge bonus) * Bandage (great heal-over-time) * Diagnose (good area effect heal) * Defibrillate (a must for any healer) * Fitness (general personal buffness)
There are other ranged attack and dodge bonus rings that you can get, and that are likely much better, but I was going for the Ninja set bonus which gives me a huge dodge bonus on top of everything else. The healing and defib rings are just good healing rings in general, and I'm still currently debating about dropping the fitness ring for an adrenalin ring instead in order to qualify for the medic set bonus (but the Fitness ring is just so nice!). Having not done much crew'ing as of yet, the rings I'm using right now have been great for solo'ing so far. Not much to add to the crew, however, unless I intend to be either a front-line fighter or a healer.

I'm still really early on in the game so mine are Mantis (close-range) Solar Ray (long-range) Meat (quick mega-heal) Improbability Sphere (I don't crew much, but I like casting this on random people I pass whee )

I'm really early on as well. I have mantis, bandage and sharpen. I haven't crewed at all. I wish the game was more friendly to solo play ^^;

I just started playing on this character yesterday.
It started me with Solar Rays, then gave me Diagnose.
I then did quests, picked Water Balloon (Area Damage), Divinity (Stamina restore), found a Ghost Ring, picked Slash, and just found an Improbability Sphere ring.
Gonna try and get them all up to 2.0 CL. 3nodding

Onward to Zen Garden! Solar Rays, Diagnose, Dervish, Divinity, Defibrillate, Water Balloon, Fitness, Keen Aye.
Not using Keen Aye much, but it's good for when I happen to be in a place where I suck at hitting stuff. It was good for DMP, for instance. Might swap it out for Slash or something. (Dervish replaced balloon, then a while later, balloon replaced slash. Ranged attacks are best when fighting drums, because they knock me all over the freakin place!)

Oh! I got two new rings the other day: Fire rain and diagnose. I hope to get shuriken next so that I can have a ninja ring set and avoid some enemies! whee
