I ask this because I am struggling with someone in a guild I own. He's a reborn Christian, but refuses to acknowledge his sin as such. He's about 5 months old. I know it's hard... but he's really not making much inprovement. He's engagged to be married at the age of 15, and is convinced that God intended him and his bf to be together... any advice?

If he is confused and struggling with his decision, pray with him to put it all in God's hands. At 15 years old, there is still much to learn and he should try asking God for direction before making quick decisions.

Only the Lord knows our hearts and our intentions and He wants what is best for your friend and for all of us. I'm sure he is a good person, and when God changes us He changes us for the better. That's what it means to be reborn. I guess all we can do is pray for him to be guided by God in order that His will may be done, not our own. But God is very specific in His word about practices we shouldn't be involved in.

I'm sorry if I wasn't much help ^^;
Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

I'll be praying for your friend, no doubt about that. I will say that I think he has much to learn about love and sexuality. I'm not saying that 15 year old's don't have some understanding of love and sexuality but one must understand that it is still developing. I think the best thing you can do is show your friends the facts... show him that yes, homosexuality is a sin, but make sure he understands that despite this sin, God still loves him.

.... Yeah. Thanks guys. That helps. I'm a reformed bisexual, myself, so I can relate. I'm doing my best to help him, it's hard though. I know what kind of battle it is. It's a constant struggle.

Love. Most people who are married do not know what love is, let alone even what they themselves like.

Until someone can stare at the face of the person they married twenty something years ago and be able to take all their junk and still wake up next to them, that is love. Other than that if you are not willing to spend the rest of your life with someone and do it, never say you love them.

I have a friend in California I met in High School who also refuses to believe that homosexuality is a sin. It so clearly is.

I mean, people say that the bible never says it is, but it does. Then when you give the verses, they say that it's "Old Testament and that only counts for Jews". If that were true, then why is it that Christians print out the Old Testament in their own copies of the Bible?

If he just became a christian, it's going to be hard at first because he's just learning. Just help him with his struggle. Like other people have posted, if you're not willing to spend the rest of your life with the person you 'love', then he shouldn't get married. Man and WOMAN were meant to be as one in Christ. It says that somewhere in the Bible, but I forgot. I was just reading this thing about what the bible has to say about gays and lesbians. Here's the link:

Nice avi clothes, Shiryu. ::nudge nudge::

I figure, once we're Saved, and choose to follow God, He Changes us so that we feel more prone to do His Will.

A lot of people disagree with me and say something like, "But He gave us Free Will!" and my reply is always the same. I just add, "To a point"

Christians print the OT with the bible to give some context and show how powerful God used to be. It gives some background on who this guy Jesus is related to and the "Profecies" that he "fulfilled". Now, if God created each and every human being acordign to his wishes, then this means he created people who are born blind, deaf, mentaly defficient or gay. (yes it is a birth "defect").

God never made me bipolar. He allowed it, but no, He never made me bipolar. Satan did.

Satan can make lust (IE: attraction to someone that will cause you to sin), not love, but lust can often come in the guise of love. No matter what people in lust say, nothing can get me to believe that a person of one gender can truly love a person of another gender.

Satan cannot create. Satan was an angel, he has no power beyond that of any other angel. Lust is not a fabrigation, it is a natural instinc ingrained in the very fabric of humanity the only instinct stronger than lust is wrath (self preservation).

True, Satan can't create. But he CAN influence. And not just in the physical. He can also influence in the mental.

what she said. He gave us free will, but sometimes we go too far. It's our choice to do things. Everything has consequences, good or bad(Im saying there are good and bad consequences)

Satan and his demons tempt us, so yeah...... Temptation is not bad, it's not a sin, it's what we do when we get tempted is the thing.
