Unless you live south of the equator (you silly backwards people!) garden season is more or less over. Let's discuss our ambitions for next year!!
1. I really want to go through and discard (as in give away) all my "generic" seeds. This way I can replace them with organic seeds. I also want to invest in heirloom varieties and start saving my own seed.
2. I have THREE new beds. That's almost double the space of what I had this year. I don't quite know what to do with it all.
3. I half attempted to, but I really want to plan and develop a nice wildflower/herb section or sections. Pretty things.

Whoa, this year i got grass cool
So i can do more than potted plans and a small herb box next year. I'm going to go for tomatoes and peppers, since we did that at our old house and it's pretty easy.
I'd also like a small bed of sun flowers near our back deck, but i wonder how small they will stay XD
I'm so psyched for 2009!

I don't think so, I'm pretty positive some of the more decorative varities are inedible. The edible ones are usually the biggest ones they sell (and tend to have edible written on the package)

@ Onicoe
I;m so glad you told me that! I was just going to get any kind.
Oh has anyone else ever got those bags of mystery seeds from places like, The Dollar General? Where they're non descript seeds and you just plant them and have no idea what will come of them? XD
I had that this year and had plants growing where i had no idea what they were XD

I wouldn't mind mystery seeds if they were all pretty flowers, but then I'd be frustrated if they did well and i couldn't ID them. xp

Woohoo, now i can ID them!
I kind of like the idea of mixed unknown seeds..it's like Christmas but early! You have no clue what you will get, but it's always a lovely surprise :]

Ha! I thought I was the only person anywhere excited for 09 garden...My husband and I just bought a house and we're going to grow a garden next year. I need to make a couple of planter boxes, though, and defend them from the dogs, but I plan to grow tomatos and peas carrots...and roses and daisies in the front yard. I really love orange roses and have a very nice place to plant them wink But I'm pretty psyched to grow stuff.

I'm contemplating whether to try to have a garden next year gonk My friend Tracey and I want to make a semi-large garden on her parent's land, but we're both leaving for college sometime in August and I don't want to leave our babies to shrivel up right before harvest, and we'll have to be busy during the Summer getting ready for college sweatdrop But if we can get it together it will be the first time each of us have had a full sized garden whee

Oh, I have set my goals high for next year. I intend to more than double my available space and actually have something worthy of being called a true garden. For the last couple years I've only tried growing strawberries, tomatoes, and pumpkins. Next year I want to broaden out and try cucumbers, radishes, potatoes, and a couple other new things. I'm super jazzed, hehe.
