THE ROCK FIELD!
Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks.

Renekai bounced up to the trainer platform, pokeball in hand. "You ready, Bell?" she asked it, then pressed the button to open the ball. A red beam ejected an unhappy-looking Delibird, who clearly did not think much of the field of choice.
"I know that you hate rocks, Bell, but please listen! I know, I know... One day, we'll get the Ice Field for sure! Just be glad that it wasn't something worse, like the City Streets or Graveyard field. Renekai did her best to please Bell, but the Delibird continued to glare at her trainer. "Oh well, if you don't like the field, just go and end the battle!" Renekai finally said, half irritable, half amused.
As Bell took her position with a little huff, Renekai spotted the other trainer. This was a new one who was borrowing Renekai's Gastly, Dreydonna. "Hi!" Renekai called, waving. "Good luck!"
Bell glared at her opponent. She had fought Dreydonna before, and she'd do it again. No mercy, not even for that annoying ball of purple gas!

Nyoko couldn't help but look at the Pokeball in her hand for a long moment as she stood on the platform. She'd never battled with the Pokemon before, so she didn't know exactly what she was capable of. The trainer had said the Pokemon's name was Dreydonna... With a small scowl, Nyoko threw the Pokeball, watching as the red light revealed the Gastly it held.
And it was about time, too! Dreydonna couldn't hold back her mischievous grin as she bobbed anxiously before the unfamiliar trainer behind her. She'd make sure she metaphorically kicked Bell's feathered butt! She'd wipe that glare right off that Delibird's stupid face!
"Good luck to you too! I guess..." Nyoko called back after a moment, chewing her nail uncertainly.

"Guess I should go first, huh?" Nyoko said after a long moment of just standing there, staring at her opponent. She had to think for a long moment about what attacks the Gastly would know. "Alright Dreydonna! Use Dark Pulse!"
Dreydonna gave a wicked grin before she obeyed, a pulse of dark light spreading from her body and heading directly towards Bell.

"Bell, cut through with a Thief attack!" Renekai commanded. Now that the fight had started, all other thoughts were wiped from her mind.
Bell leaped into the air, talons glowing softly, and winged her way through the attack. She flinched as it hit her, but she shrugged it off and continued on to Dreydonna. When she reached the Gastly, she dove down to strike her with her talons.
Renekai nodded grimly. So far, so good.
