~Haunted~
My escape is to sleep
to hide from the light this faceless void my life has become
trapped by memories my mind cant let go,
the waking moments filled with presence of things long past
how long will this living nightmare last
In slumber,I lay myself, in hopes of peace that never comes
I find my past haunts me no solitude,I can not be,
a prisoner by my own doing
this hellish torture I've locked myself ,
no one to blame, For I hold the key to this prison,
I'm forever entrapped, enslaved to things I've seen and done,
I am guarded by no one except the haunted...

A haze of betrayal as affections creep.
Once we savoured paradise,
Hand in hand and innocent,

Slender beams of light enter
This darkened prison as I kneel,
Always alone, always cold,
Frozen here,
Waiting.
Tortured forms wrought in panes of glass loom as dust dances in the air,
Forming an image in my mind,
Penetrating my shamed flesh.
A reflection on an angel's face.
I raise my head, now embracing
This uncaring salvation.
