you were told to march your whole show with your eyes shut? we had to do that, but only for 3 charts... it was still scary! can you immagine what would happen if you marched your whole show with your eyes shut? I wish the season wasn't over with... I've always wanted to try it out and record it and watch it!

I don't have that much confidence in my step size. xD
I constantly guide to the hashes and yard lines, so I'd probably be way off by the end.

we used to have a tradition...lol key word here is USED TO!! haha the bd would blindfold us. i sucked at marching and getting to my dot so clumsy me, i tried, hehe, didn't work. i fell and hit my head on a bass drum and then a contra player fell on me smile the other flutes were behind me. haha that ******** hurt.....after i woke up lol. i was knocked out for a couple seconds and had a concussion. what can i say? i'm a pain magnet! lol i get hurt real easily smile . and this is funny, for some reason...this year we didn't do it and we used to do it every year...dun dun ddduuunnnn

AHA. You're funny.
We can't even keep a company front doing our warm-ups with our eyes closed.
Once I started with my friend Nicole on my left. When we all finally got to open our eyes, she drifted 3 people away from me on my right! o______o;

That would be really dangerous, especially with our last show. At first, the last couple of sets had us condense A LOT, and then condense some more, before finally going to a picture of 2 sets of bird wings that were close together. Our director changed the last set so it'd be farther apart, but it was still pretty close. If we had even thought about marching that with our eyes shut, I can only imagine the amount of money it'd take to repair all 150-175 of those instruments, not to mention the band's injuries. Thank goodness he decided to change the ending entirely.
Another thing was during a pass through, a flute was unfortunate enough to get hit in the head by a trombone marching behind him. This again would have been much worse with eyes closed.

Marching Band + Eyes closed = No Dressing or Covering. No Watching the Drum Major and Certainly no Making sure you don't accidentally destroy your instrument.
