Right, this synopsis will be super-short until I actually find the episode again. (I don't trust my memory anymore. XD)
IDENTITY CRISIS
Start off in Khan's place, where he's talking with a giant projected image of the Shredder. Khan's trying to explain that the Turtles are responsible for the delay in Shredder coming into the Real World. Just the mention of them makes Shredder's projection waver with rage. He says he has a plan to make the Turtles serve him...
Theme song!
In the lair, the boys are going to go into cyberspace to look for Splinter-bits again. Although now they've got April helping out on the Real World side of things. Serling and Casey have something of an argument about roller skates, and the boys go inside.
They find a bunch of Splinter-bits on their radar and get on their little mopeds to check it out. A weird swirly *coughShreddercough* follows them stealthily. Turns out the Splinter-bits are on top of a large purple mountain thing ("virtual Everest"), which they climb. Back in Real Life, April spies something weird on radar and tries to warn the boys, but they can't see anything wrong. She decides to pull them out, just as they're attacked by tentacles! (Horror!)
The boys get thrown back into the lair, and Casey goes to see if they're okay. They're not -- the hypno-eyes return! The turtles shove Casey out of the way and run out into the street. Casey follows, but they lose him and go into a secret Foot entrance. Khan is there, and the Turtles bow to him!
Khan tells Shredder that it was a success, but wouldn't it be a good idea to just kill them while they're hypnotized? Shredder prefers irony though, so the Turtles will do some chores for the Foot instead.
The boys get new Foot garb and bandannas that somehow make their eyes glow red (yes, it's the bandannas' fault). Then Khan sends them out to beat up some Purple Dragons, and it is here that Casey finds them. He's relieved -- I mean, Turtles beating up the PDs? That seems normal. But when Casey approaches them, they turn on him and start fighting him as well.
Casey does okay, but not okay enough to beat them -- especially since he's wondering what the heck's going on. He grabs a flashbang from one of the downed PDs and uses it to escape back to the lair, where he explains what happened to April and Serling. They've been trying to figure out what happened in cyberspace, and they've decided that something like a computer virus has gone into their minds. Casey is confused, and somehow comes up with the idea that making the Turtles remember happy things will get them to reject the brainwashing. With this plan, the three set to work.
Khan meanwhile is getting the Turtles to raid a PD weapons base. Even brainwashing cannot completely destroy their stealth tactics. (<3) All goes well and they're packing things up, when April, Casey, and Serling arrive in the Turtles' garbage truck. Serling goes Turtle-X and April pilots, and they shoot the turtles with the "remember ray." Apparently it causes migranes.
Khan's having none of that, and starts attacking Turtle-X. Casey intervenes and the two of them start fighting. Meanwhile, the Turtles each have their own series of flashbacks from all the previous seasons, ending with a favorite memory, and then snap out of it -- Don, Leo and Mikey do, anyway. They get rid of the glowy headbands and figure out what's going on, but Raph is still brainwashed. He runs forward and starts attacking Casey, while the other three hold off Khan long enough for April to get another shot at Raph. This time Raph does get flashback pictures, ending with him shoving Mikey's face into a cake. This does the trick, and he's un-possessed.
Khan is seriously pissed and decides to just kill 'em all, but Leo plants a bomb on the side of the building and sets the timer for 15 seconds (!!!). Khan decides to run instead, as does everyone else, and the building explodes with everyone escaping safely. Khan is the very picture of anger.
Back in the truck the boys are discussing their experience and the memories that brought them back. Don's, Leo's, and Mikey's all involved Splinter in some way. (Don's was bedtime stories, Leo's was teatime, and Mikey's was piggyback rides.)
And back in Khan's talk-to-Shredder room, Shredder's miffed that they broke free of his virus, but now he has the knowledge to make a cyber window of his own.
To Be Continued...
