Yup Yup! It's finally out for one years...though I'm a 4 year vet. lol.

WTF? What the hell did I mean "It's finally out for one years"? I don't recall... (6/4/2009)

I like it. (I was a zeta tester!!!)

How about you???

Heh, all I know thus far is that it's lagging on my like a pack of whales stranded in the desert.

Besides that, mandatory n00b guide? Fail number one.

.....

.........

............... What the ******** is this? wahmbulance

No, seriously? This is yet another alpha release from Gaia disguised as a beta. The Aquarium had fewer glitches than this one (and damn, that's saying a lot, seriously.)

- Lag worthy of Tibia's worst traffic hours.
- Collision check fails to check it's checking.
- Characters have no pathfinding abilities, and some NPCs are so damn close together you can't pass through certain areas unless you are using 640x480 resolution (or 320x240, even.) Click the pixel!
- Melee attacks are annoying to pull since monsters keep on moving randomly even when you're attacking them.
- If your game closes in any of the three first n00b quest, you get to do them all again... With the rewards. (tested that on three different accounts.) I have two different attack rings with each character, and two different healing rings, and I'm only just fooling around after getting to Barton, without completing any more quest.
- NPCs seem to love repeating themselves. They may tell you "hi" three times in a row, and your character will answer back with 'witty' remarks three times as well. Someone check the "dialogue_line_done(true)" flag, I think the blue team stole it off our base again!
- Quests put me to sleep with the dialogue. Dude, what the ******** this, Valkirye Profile 4 or XenoSaga 3? (At least those had cutscenes, not just boring hours of 'witty' dialogue.)
- They introduce aggro too early into the game. Still, monsters give me the feeling I'm fighting the same dumb green hamsters, only these ones are disguised as gnomes, flower pots and balls of fluff.
- A social-based RPG is fail when half* the 'society' in it is stupid, spelling-impaired or likes to speak in CAPS LOCK OF DOOM is not going to be attractive for the players with an IQ of above 20.

From someone who's not a programmer, but has seen more than enough 'beta' phase games to know when a game shouldn't be called a beta, my veredict on zOMG! so far is:

Fail. A Fail Ring Of WTFISTHISSHIT+9.

Heck, not even the name's got much thought put into it. Seriously, zOMG? What is that, like WoW but with more n00bs per square inch? rolleyes

(Yawns.) I'm going back to Oblivion now, had enough of retarded "omg lolz u farted fier!" pseudo-humans and Atari 2600 game engines to last me for the rest of the month. Wake me up when Gaia's programmers get through Flash Programming 101.

* And I'm being nice there by saying 'half.'

I was a Zeta Tester myself.

Razer compared to how it was during the closed beta it has came a long way. But it does still have a long way to go.

Um...it's pretty much the same as the beta...am I right?

pretty much but durring the closed beta the glitches were much worse. We had a little friend called the 104 time out error that plagued the first two tests for hours.

Oh that's right. lol.

MY GAWD! The people in zomg who have a higher ring level than everyone else, are SO cocky. They round up crews and rule over them like tyrants! I hate people who think this game is more than what it is...which is a game. >.>

((This is going on my Epic Fail list))

Hmph. If you're playing online games, you need to get used to that.

I for one am a "hermit sage" kind of player, I won't stop until I know all there is to a game I like, but I also won't bother with teams unless there's no other way around it (and even then, I'll try to find a way around it.)

But yeah, there's those that instead of playing the game for fun, they play it because they can boss others. Know how that's actually called in the videogame world? N00bs. A word which is too often mistakenly used in novices.

And that's why I prefer offline games a lot more... I don't have to withstand n00bs in Dynasty Warriors 6, for example.
