Once the worlds were sealed off 5 years ago, heartless and nobody ships had completely disappeared from space, as well as any gummi ships. It is said that many years ago gummi ships were mainly used for space battles, but after years of battling, gummis were soon seen as only a means of transportation. Most areas in space have some kind of ruins laying around, but they can be easily avoided through alternative routes.
It has only been recently that the worlds have been connected again. Routes have been reopened for flight, but it seems like the heartless and nobody ships have already taken over the skies. There have been sightings of swarms of heartless ship roaming space, and in even larger numbers than usual.

Prinz smiled at the weaver. He was glad she enjoyed the present. Once all the ships were in the vast space, his hands never ceased to stop moving across the keyboard. He had to make sure his gummi was tuned up since this was the first time in five years that it felt the sensation of space. Missiles were ready. Thrusters booted up. Defenses turned on. "Alright, lets start merging in the Stardust Sweep." he radioed the others and started to fly carefully through the stars. Once the ship was a good ways away from Traverse Town his radars started to go off the wall. Heartless ships. And a lot of them.
Enemy ships closed in, but only the ones that noticed the small Chaser fleet. Prinz disposed of them quickly while still making hate into the Stardust Sweep. As he took out incoming ships he couldn't help but grin as he flew. How he missed these gummi battles. "How's everyone holding up?" he radioed the other two ships while just entering the Stardust Sweep. They would have to really turn on the thrusters once they flew farther into the sweep.

In vast contrast to the chaser leader, Prinz; being from a society where means of interworld travel was done through more natural and 'organic' means, Thrais was once again reminded how much she 'hated' gummi battles!
Not that she hated the gummi's themselves, she just wasn't one of those individuals who would ever be savy at flying them. Probabaly a clash of the elements. Could technological power ever merge with mytical power....?
Probably not.
Still if push came to shove she would fly a gummi as well as any novice could, but it better have auto pilot intergrations. Nobody's perfect right?
This is where she became very thankful for Prinz's skills at the helm.
Her fingers clentched the seat's side, her body ridgid, but still together. When eh asked ocne they came out fo their first tumble she would nod in reply...
Even if her heart had leaped up into her throat.
The time spend away from these experiances had dulled her thick skin.
"o-ok..over here." she said with concealed nervousness.

Archangel soars through the groups of Heartless, his tracking missiles handling them as he flew by at breakneck speed, then slows down as he catches up with Prinz "Well, let's see, Archangel's in the best shape she's ever been in, I'm behind the helm, and we're going to go see Maki. Everything is great" he says over the radio, smiling as he keys in controls for his gummi to follow "I just hope our princess is alright, flying with you as pilot" he says, laughing as he fires another salvo, the heartless ships in front of them being destroyed as Vice laughs "told you I can handle this kind of stuff"

He leaned forward and said
"For now."
He watched as the swarms of Heartless ships flew past, some exploding from the missiles. The Nobody ships had backed off and were beginning to attack the Heartless ships, as he'd instructed them to do. Well at least they still listened...

"Five by five, and don't get cocky, Archangel. They've gotten smarter lately." The Nightingale seemed almost motionless, holding formation so tightly that there wasn't so much as an inch of drift. "Everyone watch your six."

((Just a few more posts, guys. Everyone is waiting for us at Yzea, heh.))
"Roger that." he replied to the Nightingale. He agreed with Isabel that they shouldn't get too cocky or that would certainly lead to their demise. Flipping on both thrusters, the gummi shook slightly and a low rumbling sound could be heard. The thrusters were warming themselves up so Prinz would have to wait a few seconds before he shot off deeper into the sweep. The pilot eyed his radar, and it was then he started to see a swarm of heartless ships making their way to the three ships. They were in a thick X formation- something he never saw the heartless ships ever did. The heartless ship in the middle of the cross seemed to be rather large too. "Swarm coming in at 7o'clock! Everyone start to get your thrusters up, he gotta smoke them. If we attack there's no way we'll escape without any causalities, so our best bet is to just outrun them."

"Roger that. I told you they were getting smarter." Isabel elbowed the button for her turbo-g as she tightened up with the others, glancing forward now and then as she studied the peculiar behavior of the approaching bogeys. "Where did they learn to fly like that? They must have absorbed some top pilots somewhere lately."

"Or just absorbed a brain or two." Vice says, snickering as he taps a button on his console, as the rear thrusters begin to glow blue "Hang onto your hats, folks, we're hitting the express lane!" he yells, laughing as the ship roars forward, literally shaking as it flies "gotta love these upgraded thrusters" he says, his voice shaky as he chuckles nervously, his ship slowing down as he sighs, apparently quite a bit ahead of the others "oh crap. I think I went too fast" he says, looking at his radar as he notices the X formation is just barely on his radar "holy moley, we got pretty far"

He grabbed the armrest as they accelerated. The heartless had gotten a bit smarter. Perhaps they were being manipulated..like before. He smirked, they had overshot the target, well thats what happens when you get too cocky.
"Perhaps they are being manipulated..." He suggested.

Isabel took a moment to study the unusual formation and its core unit, and checked her black box. "Maybe, but it's not easy running a formation like that by remote, and three gets you five that the big one in the middle isn't the only brains of the operation. I'm recording now, we'll store it with Tron and see what he thinks."

Thrais held onto the dash baord even tighter if that was possible and forced herself to keep her eyes open, observing the heartless ships outside. "...we don't even know how their returning anyways, I think it wouldn't be safe to presume we're even dealing with the old heartless anymore." she said a tad irritated she couldn't shift and look at them directly from inside the gummi ship. They were too far away.

He nodded and started to think. This was bigger than the Heartless simply 'learning' They were being manipulated on a scale like Xehanort or Maleificent. He looked at the window at the formation, confirming his belief.
"No, think bigger, like on the scale of someone like Xehanort. Well, I'm still here, and doesn't the legend say, as long as there is darkness in one heart, the Heartless will remain?" He said.

"All too right, my friend" Vice says, chuckling as his gummi slows down to practically a crawl, a small camera on the right leg scanning oncoming formations as he dodges fire from the ships "and is it just me, or has their accuracy dropped a lot since I last flew?" he says, the ship shaking as a missile hits "I take that back, their accuracy is a bit better"

Prinz stayed silent as his thrusters finished firing up and flew him away from the oncoming heartless horde. "Yeah, they're obviously getting smarter, stronger. We'll have to be even more careful now." moving his fingers quickly across his dashboard, he took care of the heartless ship on Vice's tail. "Everyone stay on your guards." in a matter of minutes the small group could be seen merging in close to the Ancient Highway. From there the flight patterns would be a lot easier.
"We're coming up to Dalerion. Be sure to land in the city of Yzea when we get closer." he broadcaster to the Nightingale and the Archangel.
It was true they manged to safely travel from Traverse Town to Yzea, but what he had witnessed would certainly bother the veteran for awhile. He could only imagine how the heartless would act on foot if they acted this way in space.
