Since she had met several in the Simo, she wanted to meet more until she knew every face. However, her secret injury kept her from venturing too far from her slate rock or the pool of water close to her den. Sun bathing seemed like a daily habit for her now, but there were no complaints really. To be warm underneath the sun within the dunes that rolled and changed was fine by her.

Home, such a home she had.

She smiled more often now that she had this place, this home, than she remembered before coming here. True, she smiled when she met Afu, sincerely, though this made her feel welcome, whole.

Yawning and stretching, Mzaa rolled off from her rock, stretched and peered around. Today, what would today bring?

Ever since Umlilo had started meeting up with Wakia in secret, she had been neglecting her personal goal to become more social. She didn't realize it, though. Far more concerned with the fact that now she and Wakia were talking again, and seeing each other far more often, she was very single-minded of late. She still wandered a bit and hunted as she was supposed to, so she didn't just drop everything- only the extra social interactions she had previously been striving to achieve. In fact, she was wondering if Wakia would stop by today or not and was heading from her den towards the border that lead to the Motoujamii-Safi lands.

She didn't even notice that there was another lioness around.

Stopping silver eyes fell on a dark pelted form before her eyes. Squinting in the light of the sun she saw it was a female, one she had not met before, or knew now, however, she seemed like she was heading out towards the edge of the lands, or even, out of the lands? Strange. Flicking her tail Mzaa turned around and headed towards her, though it seemed like she was caught in her own thoughts and did not know Mzaa was approaching.

"Hey!," she called out, picking up some ground in between them, she caught up, but did not pose a threat at all, a smile on her maw, but, also confusion, "Where are you headed?" she asked curiously.

Umlilo was started when she suddenly heard someone calling out to her, and turned very suddenly to face the dark lioness who called. She should have been paying better attention! But then, this was just a huntress- she recognized her, by appearance alone though. She wasn't in any trouble. Or she shouldn't be.

"Hello," she returned the greeting, waiting for the other lioness to approach her instead of moving herself, "I'm just out for a walk." She answered with a slight tilt of her head at the questioning, playing innocent easily and not entirely sure how to return the question.

"I've seen you before," she commented, deciding to continue logically with an introduction, "What's your name?"

"Walks are always nice, as sun bathing is as well," she said with a light laugh, flicking her tail she was still wondering why she was heading out towards the part of the boundaries where Bodaway said she should steer clear of. "I'm Karana'Mzaana, Mzaa is just fine though," she said with a nod. "I believe I've seen you once or twice before as well, though I have to admit, I'm just getting up the...I don't know whether you'd call it courage or confidence, to speak out to others I don't know."

Perhaps this female would know what she spoke of.

"What's your name?"

Sunbathing. That explained what she was doing out here, it was a pretty good place. Plenty of sun all over the desert, certainly, but there was a certain amount of privacy here. Which was why this had been Umlilo's chosen route when checking around for Wakia, where she had been seeing him.

"Ah," she murmured, then straightened up a bit and smiling almost imperceptibly, "I'm Umlilo. Were you one of the rogue rebels?" Lilo did not know a great deal about everything that happened, she had been too young and too apathetic to take part but she didn't recognize this lioness- and she was older than Lilo, at least old enough to have participated. And the fact she was rather shy spoke a great deal about her perceived status.

"It's nice to meet you Umlilo," Mzaa gatehred from her question that perhaps Umlilo had not been in the rebellion, she did appear younger than she was, Mzaa nodded though, to not stir up confusion, "Yes, and now, this is my home," she said with pride.

"Your pelt is so dark Umlilo, but it has firekin appearance, were you once part of the old pride, before I came here?" true, it was bringing up the past, though Mzaa was curious what life was before the rebellion, she had heard stories, but not..real life accounts.

"You look..familiar though, do you have family here?"

Umlilo noted the prideful tone in the way Mzaa said this was her home, that alone counteracted the shyness she seemed to have about it all. Firekin were very proud, and now Lilo was more convinced. She was smart and tactful enough not to voice her thoughts, but she seemed visibly more comfortable talking Mzaa as the conversation continued from there.

"Yes, I was born here," she said, tempted to comment on her firekin blood more specifically but slowly becoming more accustomed to the fact that it was not a literal lineage anymore and more of a pride, a state of being, "My father lives somewhere around here, though he is brighter red than I am. My mother and sisters moved with the traditionalists, though."

"I see," Mzaa said not commenting on the family tht was not here with her. To be in such a situation where part of her family was here and part on the other side must be hard on her, at least, Mzaa assumed so. "brighter red..." she thought, who had she met? She knew Ohanna, No, Kidondo, Damu..no, Damu was a bit darker. Bodaway, maybe her father knew him?

"Does your father know Bodaway?"

Umlilo was actually happier with how things were. She never really got along with her sisters, and she supposed some of that was her fault- at least for the ones that weren't seers. And she never did get along with her mother, either, who always seemed to prefer the two seers. Her father, though, wasn't the worst lion. She nodded, then looked a bit surprised when Mzaa asked about her father.

"Bodaway is my father," she said, "How do you know him?"

"He is?" she said with a startled look on her face, a laugh escaped her throat. "What irony on me today, I met your father not long ago, he spoke of you and how you might worry if he had no returned from his hunt since he was picky," she said with another laugh. "Your father is a kind lion, there is no doubt that he cares for you so much, it must be wonderful being with your father, living with him here," Mzaa would think so anyway.

"It is nice, to have him here with you, yes?" she asked, she obviously didn't want to jump to conclusions and upset Umlilo.

She nodded again, confirming what she said. She wasn't terribly surprised to hear her father had been talking about her, he was her father and she was the only one around.. though he appeared to have more friends than she did. Which was fine, she wasn't such a social lioness. When asked about her relationship with her father, she gave a slight shrug.

"He hasn't been around all of the time," she said with a shrug, "If I had to pick between my parents though, it'd be him."

"I see," Mzaa said in response, though, there was a good thing in Umlilo's statement, "Thats what counts though, he is the one with you now, and he'd be your pick," althugh it came out in an awkward statement, Mzaa wasn't sure how else to phrase it. Strange, to hear someone choosing one parent over the other, but they would have their reasons, memories of why they would choose one over the other.

"Do..you miss them?" she asked, perhaps too personal of a question, though she referred to her family, mzaa wondered if Umlilo had left anyone else over the border.

"I suppose so," she agreed, her tail swaying behind her thoughtfully. She was definitely happy that her dad was around, she'd already come to terms with that she had felt rather alone and that having him around made it better. Seeing Wakia helped, too, and the secrecy made it almost exciting. For now, it did.

"No," she said simply, apathetically. Wakia was the only one she'd ever really missed. Not wanting to dwell on that part of the conversation, she instead turned it on Mzaa, "Do you have family here? Any who came with you or a.. mate?" She hesitated at asking about Mzaa having her own family, she would have noticed cubs starting to appear about the pride- and that hadn't been happening.

Mzaa dismissed the subject now, it seemed like it was the time to move on from that part of the conversation. Though she merely shook her head simply at Umlilo's question, flicked her tail. "No," silver eyes peering up at the sky for a moment, a smile on her maw, "No family here, though the firekin, this si my home, thus a large family to me I guess. I don't remember my family, just this now," it'd probably confuse Umlilo, so she wanted to try and clarify, "There was an accident, I assume, and I could only remember my name when I awoke.

Which is why I'm glad I met No and Kidondo, they gave me something which I didn't have, something I lost." At Umlilo's question about a mate, she laughed, but shook her head, "No, I don't hvae anyone here to show affection for, sometimes I wonder what's its like, probably much like a child wonders what love is, someday I might know, for now, I know no such thing."

Tilting her head, Mzaa questioned, "What about you Umlilo? Has a male caught your heart yet?"
