Adhara didn't quite remember the reason for them being there. All she knew was that it was some kind of holiday about pilgrims and indians, and that you were supposed to eat turkey - usually. Given that Noah never seemed fond of eating meat in general, he had taken her to this strange little farm, where they were serving stuffing and cranberry sauce and various kinds of pie, but no turkey or other meats. Instead, there was a little fenced-in area that was full of turkeys that could be fed and pet and other things.
It had taken a while, but Noah had finally pried the girl off her arms and gotten her to take a plate and snack on a few things, though that was all she did while she watched the strange looking birds that were almost as big as she was. For once, the diligence child wasn't doing all that much- sitting in a chair, kicking her legs, and eating a small plate of food that Noah had helped her get from what was being served. One of the birds flapped its wings, and she did as well, earning attention from the birds, which she shied away from for the time being, going back to her food.
As she was still herself, however, the idea of simply sitting in a chair the entire time stopped appealing to her, and she stood and walked up the pen, her tentacles overturning the chair in hopes that she wasn't going to go near the pecking birds. When she got closer, Adhara couldn't help but giggle at the strange noises that they would make, though she backed up a bit when one of them started walking toward her, pecking outward to try and get her food. Still rather scared of these birds, she outstretched both hands, and it started eating some of the stuffing from out of the bowl. She smiled warily; they looked so strange! Why would anyone think to eat something that looked like a turkey?

"But I've already got friends so why did we hafta come here, they won't even let us eat the turkeys." Mareike frowned and dragged her feet as she exited the car and followed her father towards the food and animals. It just didn't make sense.
Nickle sighed softly and pinched the bridge of his nose" We're here becuase it looked interesting , besides there's nothing wrong with not eating the turkeys and petting them instead. Just don't eat with your hands and play gently" he warned. While Nickle preffered his daughter to play with the other society children , Penn has asked for the house for a few hours today and in all honestly the placed looked interesting and would probably have food more than worth coming for. It also wouldn't hurt if Mareike realized most animals weren't only for eating.
Mareike was about the protest that if turkeys weren't supposed to be eaten when why was the turkey the symbol of the holiday. However, before the words could get out she noticed something strange. Over by the pen of Turkeys there was someone with tentacles that looked just like Adriel's, they also had wings that looked sort of like her own at the top." I'm gonna go see the weird person with the turkeys." It was both a statement and a dismissal, Nickle was not invited to follow his daughter and doing so would only annoy her.
Shaking his head Nickle headed towards the food while keeping and eye on Mareike. Hopefully he could eat and converse in peace without having to be on guard for mischief the whole evening.

Adhara wasn't sure whether she should be whining or growling at the birds that were trying to steal her plate, so she instead chose to just try and pull it back. Unfortunately, as more and more birds started pulling on the paper, and given that Adhara wasn't the strongest of children, she was already losing her grip. Surprisingly, it wasn't her grip that lost her food, it was her footing. Her foot slid out from under her when she went to take a step back, and that had her falling flat onto to her back, knocking the air from her lungs.
Amber eyes dazedly watched the stars that appeared to be dancing in front of her vision as she waited for her breathing to come back. Thankfully -or unfortunately, as the case may have been- she'd fallen like that a few times before, and had gotten used to the consequences that came from doing so. For a moment, she looked for Noah or that friend that he'd brought with him, as though one of them would help her up, but when she couldn't find them, she resorted to pushing herself up. She winced slightly when one of her hands pressed down on a wing, snapping a couple of it's feathers by accident, but that was the worst of it.
Dusting off a white-and-yellow sundress, she wrapped her wings around herself, and did her best to dust those off, too, watching as the battered feathers fell into the dirt beneath her feet. She pouted at them a bit, before looking up at the turkeys who were pecking at the food that they'd pulled away from her. One of her tentacles stretched out toward the turkeys, apparently irritated with what they'd done, while the other took that moment to wrap itself across Adhara's torso. Confused, the lust girl looked down at the appendage, and tugged at it a bit, trying to pull it off. It only ever really clung to her like this when another spawn was around. Did that mean that another-- She didn't have a time to finish this though, however, as she'd already caught sight of the other girl, and blinked at her with mild interest. She'd never seen another spawn with a completely different skin colour- some with random marks in other colours, but none that were completely different colours. She waved a bit, the tentacle previously extending toward the turkeys pausing, and 'looking' in the direction of the other spawn. Since Adriel, even though she'd gotten bigger, her tentacles were still hesitant about being too touchy-feely, as it didn't turn out for the best, usually.
For once, Noah was actually watching his adoptee rather than paying attention to something else, even though he'd brought someone with him this time. 'Course, she was the one who'd invited them, and she was currently chatting with the people who'd organized the whole event, while Noah was left to pick at his plate of food and watch his daughter debate whether or not to let her tentacles do whatever they were going to do to the turkeys. However, his attention was also called to the other girl who seemed, of course, to have come from the facility that was producing all these bizarre nonhumans. He blinked a few times, before going back to his food. Regardless, he should probably stay off to the side and let his daughter make friends, rather than overly invading her space, as he was known to do.

" You lost to a Turkey." Mareike stated calmly. The girl's orange eyes remained focused on the girl on the ground while her golden center eyes carefully watched the feathered creature in question claim it's prize. " We're supposed to eat turkeys and it's eating your food." Her voice was dispassionate as she spoke though a part of the girl noted that tentacles like hers and Adriel's must signal some sort of weakness. The parent they got them from must be a sad thing to see.
Still, her wings were like Mareike's and Mareike was strong,so maybe there was hope after all. " I could kick them and take back the food?" She offered both to see what a turkey would do when kicked and becuase it wouldn't hurt to be nice to this girl, at least for a few minutes until someone more interesting came along.

Adhara watched the girl curiously through amber eyes, a bit preoccupied with taking in her strange appearance. When the other girl spoke, however, she frowned and looked back at the turkeys as they pecked away at the food that she should have been eating. She looked back at the other girl, and for a moment thought it would have been nice if she could focus on two different things at once, but she was stuck looking in different directions every two seconds, which occasionally made her rather dizzy. The idea that they were supposed to eat turkeys confused Adhara a bit, though she did have some recollection of turkey sandwiches back at her first house, so it wasn't much of a surprise. But Noah had drilled vegetarianism into her brain. She briefly wondered what the man thought was so bad about meat products, and also had to wonder if there was a chance she could get away from him long enough to find meat-type-things to eat.
Adhara couldn't help but grin at the suggestion, though she knew that she shouldn't, something about animal cruelty and other nonsense. "I like that idea," she commented, also unable to help but wonder what a turkey would do if it was kicked. Unfortunately, she wasn't sure that she would be able to kick an animal that didn't do anything terribly wrong, so she was preparing to watch. Plus, it wouldn't be interesting anyway if the animal wasn't going to be hitting back.

Given permission, not that she needed it, Mareike advance upon the turkey's who had taken the time during the girls conversion to continue making quick work of the dropped food. It didn't look like there'd be anything worth saving. Still she grinned and rushed at the turkeys as if to attack them. With loud gobbles they scatted in all directiosn several feet. puffed up thier feaths and then stared hard at the girls before inchign forward again. the lure of the spilt food overhwelming thier fear.
Mareike shrugged and looked down at the other girl " Didn't save your food but I don't think they'll hurt you." Already Mareike felt boredom setting in. The turkey were no fun and using her yellow high set eye she could see Nickle frowning. There would be no more attacking defenseless birds today. Even if they were sort of ugly.
" Lets' get more food." It was more an order than a suggestion, the maroon skinned girl was hungry and she wasn't quite ready yet to be alone.

Adhara giggled at the scattering birds, but they did remind her of the bats she'd seen in the lighthouse with the way that they all moved in a mass in various directions. Thankfully, it wasn't dark, and they were very small and frightening like the bats had been. "Thanks," she replied, glad that the birds weren't going to hurt her, or were supposedly not going to. She crept toward them as they crept back toward the two girls, and she abruptly jerked her large wings out a bit, and the birds scattered loudly once more, though this time a few of them had gotten rather angry and jumped toward Adhi in a rather intimidating way to the small girl. She squeaked and jumped backward, eyes wide. The tentacle that wasn't wrapped around her own waist for protection reached out toward the maroon-skinned girl as she'd been the initial source of protection from the frightening and strange-looking birds.
Amber eyes glanced toward both the tentacle and the girl at the idea of getting more food. She seized the tentacle and pulled it back toward herself, blinking a couple times. "Um, yeah. We should get some more food," she said agreeably, flapping a bit and waiting for the older-looking girl to lead the way, given she still couldn't reach the tables very well. Of course, it would look odd to another person, or it would be strange, if she had to ask for help to get her food. Maybe she could try to hover long enough to be able to get food onto her plate...? No, that sounded kinda dangerous.
Trying to ebb her mind from the impending idea of how she was going to get food off a table that was just barely shorter than she was, Adhi tried her best to strike up a conversation, releasing the previously grabby tentacle. "So... I'm Adhara," she said, trying to recall what Noah had taught her about proper manners. She knew that she wasn't doing it exactly right, but she was doing well enough. "What's your name?" she questioned curiously. Even if this other girl didn't seem that interested in her, she was certainly interested in the other girl. After all, it wasn't everyday that you met someone with such a pretty colour of skin, as well as three eyes! It was actually pretty interesting, as far as the little Lust spawn could see. Then again, most people didn't always meet a little girl with wings and tentacles, either, but that wasn't something on her mind at the moment, so she ignored it. After all, seeing yourself in the mirror every morning made your own appearance seem much less interesting than that of anyone else's.

Mareike had frowned at the birds when they'd advanced on the two girls. What were they thinking? They couldn't possibly be as strong as them. Her attention was quickly redirected however to the tentacled that had reached out towards her. Why did they seem to like her was there something special about her that made both this girl and Adriel's tentacles interested in her?
" I'm Mareike" The thistle haired girl replied as she began walking towards the food tables. With her main eyes looking at the target and her golden one focused on Adhara. Adhara, Adriel, both names started the same and both children had tentacles, plus Adhara had wings like hers. She wasn't sure but maybe they were related. It couldn't hurt to ask. " Do you come from a really weird building with a bunch of jerks in white coats?"
It seemed as likely as anything else and then it would be sort of interesting to have a sister kind of. Even if they didn't live together

"Nice t'meet you, Mareike," Adhara said cheerily, continuing to fall after the other girl, her wings fluttering a bit. Amber eyes glanced over the wings that the other girl had, and her own fluttered once more. She wondered curiously how the other girl ended up with the red splotches on her wings. At the next question, she blinked a few times, tilting her head. "Umm... yeah," she replied after a moment of thought, as though it actually required effort to remember if those were the same people that Mareike was talking about, or if they had come from different places, both of which had mean white coats. Then again, if they were both from the same place, they probably both were related to Polly.
"'Had to go back there for a few days once, 'n'then they took me to a different house. They said that I'm part J'her and part Polon- Polondrae- Pol-on-drae-li. I had to meet J'her, but she was kinda scary," Adhara pronounced slowly, before looking at Mareike once more curiously. "You've got wings like me, too. D'you know who your D-N-A donors are?" she asked, still stumbling over a few of the words, given she'd only recently learned about her own heritage. True, she knew that she'd come from a large building with whitecoats, but a lot of her memory was kind of scattered. She'd remember being in a large white room, being talked to by people she'd never met, and being taught things, but it was all sloppily put together. She wondered if she was 'born' a toddler, or if she'd actually been grown from infancy...

Mareike just stared at the other girl for a moment. What did she just say? grabbing a plate and a warm roll off a nearby table the young girl tried to make sense of what she'd just heard." Um " her brows furrowed as she tried to remember what Nickle had told her. " Yes but I don't remember names. Just that it was Wr- Shar his name was shar and some angel who's name I don"t remember but she was diligence." Mareike shrugged " I haven't met anyone yet but I'm supposed to go meet Shar soon. I hope he's cool." Mareike to her knowledge had never met another wrath child yet and meeting Shar was as close and she might get for a while.

Adhara half-listened to what Mareike was saying, standing up on tip-toe and stretching her arm half-across the table to get another paper plate. Being just barely too short to see into the dishes on said table, the little girl stretched her wings and then flapped them once, pulling herself about a foot-and-a-half off the ground. From what she caught sight of, there were a few rolls left, and some stuffing, and quite a bit of cranberry sauce. With a sheepish smile at her height, she stretched out to reach the spoon in the stuffing, and spooned just a bit onto her plate, following that with a bit of cranberry sauce as well, having already had a roll before her plate was stolen.
Adhara nodded a couple of times after Mareike was finished talking. "Pol-on-drae-li is the Angel of Diligence," Adhara noted, for the sake of allowing another person to have the same knowledge of her virtue, or at least her name. Adhi wings fluttered a bit at the tips, and she continued in her follower place, allowing Mareike to lead her around the tables. "Really? That's cool. I met J'her a little bit ago, she's the Demon of Lust. She was really strange, though, and kinda scary. What's Shar the demon of?" It only then occured to her that the demons' names were much easier to say than the angels' names, but she disposed of that thought. It wasn't really all that important, it was just some random piece of information.

" Wrath" Mareike replied with a grin that showed off her fangs " I bet he's going to be really interesting. Maybe we can even wrestle or something." Mareike was aware that she might only have half of Shar's strength but she was half poli poli .. diligence and that made her really really fast.
Mareike watched the other girl struggle to get her food but said nothing. She seemed to be wanting to do it without help and that was a good thing, it showed she was strong. After the other girl was done mareike served herself a bit of stuffing and ignored the gross looking cranberry sauce. " They should have had non turkey meat." She insisted, really what was a meal without some meat.

Adhara couldn't help but grin back, though she had no fangs to show for it, and held the slightest bit of envy for them, though it wasn't enough for her to make any note of feeling such a thing. "That would be really cool. D'you think you would win?" she asked curiously, groping across the table until she found a plasticware fork with which she could eat. She took a bite of stuffing and chewed it thoughtfully, before swallowing to speak again. "They had J'her all chained up, and I wasn't allowed t'be too close to her. Dun'no why, though..."
At the comment about the meat, Adhara couldn't help but shrug just a bit. Having never had any other kind of meat before, or any kind of meat period, she couldn't say much on the matter. Of course, she could always just say that. "Noah's a veg-e-te-rian, so we don't eat meat at my house. I dun'no why, though, I kinda wonder what it tastes like." She looked over at the turkeys and frowned a bit. "I kinda wonder who first looked at those turkeys and thought that they would taste good, though. They're kinda ugly. I don't know if I'd really want to put something like that in my mouth..." Despite understanding the process of cooking meat, it seemed that Adhara still was a little short of understanding the way that meat was processed, and therefore thought that people ate the whole turkey.

Mareike nodded " I have two different sides and Shar is just one thing so I should have an.. an advantage." She frowned at the thought of being tied up for some reason. " Maybe she's dangerous sometimes so you have to be careful?" Or something, still the girl disliked the concept of captivity.
" No meat!" Mareike was in shock " You have to eat meat you'll die without it. it's has proteins and metals and stuff in it you need. plus it tastes really good and warm and well meaty." This Noah person was a horrid guardian, denying someone meat.
Eyeing the turkey again she shrugged " maybe they knew other birds tasted good and they thought they'd try this one."

Adhara grinned. She liked the confidence that this girl had, and almost admired her strength, despite the fact that she was a little bit frightening, even to Adhara. It was lucky that they were half-siblings, then, as it gave her a chance to prove herself to this other girl. "You'll do good, then," Adhara nodded, deciding that Mareike's logic was foolproof; after all, it did make complete sense. "I guess so..." she replied thoughtfully to the statement about being chained up. She didn't see what had been so bad about J'her, though. The woman had been really pretty and really nice, though creepy in a way that Adhara didn't yet know how to describe.
At the thought of dying without meat, Adhara's eyes widened, and her wings drooped just a bit. "R-really?" she asked, trying to be skeptic, but it probably wasn't working. At the moment, she didn't recall that Noah had her taking vitamins that would give her all the things that meat did, without her needing to eat it. "I should tell Noah that. Or I could just get some when we go somewhere again. It sounds like it would be good," she stated, nodding a couple times, now worried that she was just going to fall over, dead, at any second.
"That's true..." Adhara said, gaze drifting over to the turkeys, which had returned to pecking at the food that she'd spilled earlier, as well as the food that other children were feeding them. If people ate turkeys, she wasn't sure she wanted to see the other birds that they ate...
