Ah, it was a beautiful day.

The stallion breathed in the fresh air, a smile upon his muzzle as he trotted. A perfect day to take a walk, in his opinion. It was a few more steps before he reached his destination, a clear stream running through the woods. The horned Soquili bent down to take a sip from the water, drinking to quench his thirst.

The sun was bright and held securely in the sky, it was a perfect day indeed the breeze gently combing along the long grassy plains whilst the birds chirped their melodic songs joyfully. Anyone would think the havens had opened up to bless the earth with a silent prayer. At that thought the young angeni chuckled softly and continued her walk among the lands with the delighted rays along her ivory painted skin. It was now mid spring the sweet scent of pollen filling the air as many brightly colored plants uncoiled from their resting places to reveal vast lands collaged in something magnificent.

Taharial always loved nature, it was one of life's finer joys it was always easy to look at however with as bright as the sun was today, she found she couldn't strain the bright light much longer and had to pull away from the open lands and into the shelter of the surrounding forest. It was just as pretty here, the large evergreens a brilliant olive color swaying gently along with the breeze. Slowly, she lifted her own multiple of wings into the air enjoying the cool sensation after being brushed over with the growing temperature.

Soon after a short while the sound of water danced within her ears, they perked for a short moment, causing her to pause in her tracks but with a delighted smile the sound had persuaded her it was a good opportunity to drink, with the heat it wouldn't be long before the feeling of dehydration kicked in, so with that thought she continued forth. Approaching the stream she glanced downwards at her reflection as the multi-toned bangs slipped along her face sheltering one of her two abysses core within her features. She couldn't help but close them briefly taking in the peaceful sound of the water then opening them, lowering her head to take a drink.

flickering colors of orange and silver shot along the waters which caused her to jerk her head back a bit in surprise but after the short while she took to gaze over the unnoticed company the shock eased and she chuckled lightly, fluttering her wings happily. "Well hello there... I'm sorry i didn't know you were here. I hope I am not interrupting you at all" she nodded her head to be polite and tilted her head, she knew what a Kalona was because of the previous year where her teacher had explained to her the mysteries of the night, where the enlightened speech on Kalona's took place. She wasn't one to judge, there was nothing to say they were all like that even so she would never turn her head away, they were living beings after all and every single person deserved a chance.

He had heard the hoof beats, which signified the arrival of another, but took another sip to quench his thirst. Swallowing the sweet water down, he lifted his head to pique his curiosity; who was it that chose the same stream as he did to drink from?

Ah, a winged mare. Her pelt was pure white but her hair added some color to her appearance; it was red with greyish streaks.

"Good afternoon." He bowed his head in greeting. It was his custom to do so to every creature he met, no matter who they were. "It's alright." He assured her, smiling. "This is not my stream, after all, it's everyone's to drink from."

"ah, of course. That is true" She answered, looking over the stallion. It wasn't usual to see such a polite man. His greeting made her feel welcome, which she appreciated greatly. Tucking her hooves into the soil further by the stream, she lent her large head down, again to take another drink of the cool substance. The silver shine of cod flickered back into her sight, making her chuckle. It was that season already, where the sun beat down and brought happiness to all sea critters.

They swam up, kissing her muzzle whilst she kept it still making sure not to disturb them. As she moved it out, they soon swam off. she casted a happy smile after them. Her vision turned to the male at the other side of the waters, and gently making her way through, the water damped, dragging her feathered feet until she was now aside the Kalona.

"May I be graced by the opportunity to keep you company?" she asked, woodpeckers sounding within the old spruces, calling out within the open forest. She listened contently but her eyes never steered off him. "Its silent around these woods but its always nice to get to know a new face" she pleasantly smiled.

"It is my honor to have such a beautiful lady by my side." He chuckled and bowed his head in agreement as she joined him. It was indeed rare to have such good company. He had never met a winged one before.

"That is true." He agreed. "Though the silence is peaceful, it can get somewhat lonely at times." He had no inkling of where his family...more importantly, his daughters were. Many a time he had to reassure himself that they were fine, they would be. It was just a father's anxiety he was going through.

"Ah, that is true. Company can be a blessing when it is needed" a small nod followed after in agreement. she observed his features, the black and orange going well like the bright orb in the sky when dusk was at the horizon. "I have never met a Kalona before, I have to say you are not as they told me." she smiled brightly, watching him.

The angeni looked either way, sticks crunching under the four silver hooves when she moved to face the male slightly. "I was wondering if you lived around here? It is a beautiful atmosphere. "

observing him, he looked rather distant but without mention she continued to keep his company, perhaps his troubles would be told in time? if not, she prayed for the best for him. He was too nice to be let down by the world, however it might of been for a good cause in the eventual.

"Ah." He chuckled, unnerved by her mistake. He had, after all, been mistaken for one of the kalonas many a time. "But I am not a kalona. Their horns do not curl as mine do, and they have wings, a feature I lack."

He had never been offended by others calling him a kalona, for he respected all the different species of Soquili. Some probably may had thought he was strange had they discussed about the topic, but not many had raised it. He had not said anything about it even to his companions; the little usdia was already starting to open up and Reikon probably still had reservations against him.

"I live in the forest." He tilted his head in the direction he had came from. "With two companions."
