God almighty... those are beautiful...
I've never carved anything so good as them. Indeed my proudest jack-o-lantern was a purposefully badly carved one that I proceeded to cover in it's own guts. I didn't carve yet this year, and it'll looking like I won't at all... I wanted to carve with my friends, but none of them are around to do it.
Last year a friend of mine carved a tiny little pumpkin into a perfect Phil Ken Sebben, even had "Ha-ha!" carved into the side. It was quite masterful.

That's amazing Aretoo... I wish I could carve that well. I haven't gotten around to carving my pumpkin yet... I'm putting the Foxhound (Metal Gear Solid) symbol on my pumpkin this year.

O_O aretoo you are made of awesome! Those pumpkins rock! We were supposed to carve pumpkins this year but I don't think that's going to end up happening... Halloween is this friday and we just don't have time to buy and carve pumpkins. Ah well at least I get a party xd

*is amazed at aretoo's mad pumpkin-carving skillz*
I always sucked at carving/cutting things out. Never helped that I have a fear of sharp objects....
Ever entered any contests, aretoo?

eek Wow aretoo. That’s so… so… amazing and awesome I can’t even speak. surprised I love the pumpkin in the first picture on the left… it’s kinda like “Hehehe… *embarrassed*” I guess I enjoy seeing people’s embarrassment… >.>;;
Also, on a random note, I note you have very tasteful curtains. smile Gosh I’m weird. xd
The pumpkin with a spider carved on one side and a crow on the other is amazing. o.o I envy your carving skills. ^^

No, I haven't carved a pumpkin in a long time. sad
I remember there was this one pattern, with a cat sitting on the moon, that I would always do. :3. Fond memories....
If I can find some pictures from earlier years, I'll try to post it.

aretoo: Our family never did pumpkin carving. razz I did it once or twice, I guess. And the pumpkin from last year just stayed on our doorstep till about June or so.... sweatdrop It partly rotted, the froze with the winter mid-November so we couldn't get it off, then finally it defrosted in like... April... but we still didn't remove it till June.... so my family isn't too keen on pumpkins this year. razz

lol That's the trick, really; it's also one of the reasons I carve 'em as close to Hallowe'en as I can, so they don't "melt down" before the holiday, and I try to remember to take care of 'em within a day or two after. (I can remember growing up they'd just kinda *melt* on the front porch, and eventually we'd use the dust pan to scoop them up and dump them on the compost pile...) biggrin
Oh... I would be SHOCKED if it ever snowed, or got cold enough to freeze the pumpkin to the porch in Oregon... we're currently expecting rain, a high of 60°F and a low of 48°F. Pretty darn seasonal, actually. smile

Haha, well you remember your growing up the same way I'm experiencing it right now. xd We were going to scoop up the pumpkin and dispose of it that day... and then it snowed like crazy. That's Canada for you. razz Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
Guh, I want to move to Oregon. D: How hot does it get in the summer?

Generally, the summers top out around 85 or so, with a week or 2 in the 90s, and hitting 100+ a few times. xp

Weeellllllll..... the heat part isn't so nice for me.... but the rain, oh the rain! heart *drools* I'm considering ideal places to live when I'm older, based on climate and cultural stress levels and prices of homes. 3nodding I love Alberta... but it's too hot in the summers, and too bloody cold in teh winters. xp

aretoo Thank you everyone... Hasn't anyone else carved any this year? confused Like k0m0d0, I haven't carved a pumpkin for a long, long time. Growing up, it was something we always did with my dad. I did it a few times with some friends, but that was still a while ago.
I always mean to buy a mini pumpkin and paint it or something, but I never end up doing it... sweatdrop
